Dayz lags with good specs HELP

Mind telling us the exact graphics card you have?

Can this PC run DayZ Standalone?

    Yes but not very well.

    SKS vs M4

The effective range of a stock M4A1 is 500m
  4. Let us revise this. MP5 looks good. M4A1 already has a flash suppressor built into the barrel. Dunno why devs decided to make it just eye candy. As for thermal sights, no. We need heavier barrels, as well as different gas blocks, and grips. SVD and .357 look decent.

    Keys to Safehouses

I would like to see things like this. I know DayZ is your story but there was obviously a population before the apocalypse. Walking through a rural town and seeing some locked up and boarded up houses would fuel me to try and see what's inside.

    I want refund.

The problem is you lack the understanding that Deans dev team is no AAA title team. They are a group that simply came together to simply make a game. They have no deadline. They have no state-of-the-art tech to aid them.

    I want refund.

YOU decided to buy the game. YOU clicked I understand when Dean CLEARLY stated the game is unfinished, buggy, laggy, and a terrible experience as well as advising you to NOT buy the game and wait for Beta or full release. YOU failed to understand, so therefore, Dean owes you nothing. Unless the game intentionally crashed people's PCs and destroyed all the hardware within, or disobeyed any given law, Dean is not entitled to refund your currency that YOU decided to spend AFTER you "Understood" the game ISN'T finished and has MANY bugs. Now do us a favor and either, 1: Understand you screwed up and accept your mistake, or 2: Stop complaining and help contribute towards making the game better, rather than being part of the group of asinine imbeciles that condemn the game for what it is in EARLY ACCESS ALPHA.
  8. I didn't change my mind, I just added more reason to go for Napf rather than Kellu. Kellu could be really good for an island off the shore of Chernarus. Dean needs to add on to Chernarus using off-shore islands and extended areas to the north and west. He should be able to do this with the team redesigning the rendering engine (which is happening as we speak). Plus, the debug area to the north and west is land they CAN use in the game. The only problem with them doing it now is it would bring the engine to it's knees trying to render more than we have now. Once that's solved, it's a simple change in values to get the game to read the new areas so persistent objects don't reset when placed there, as well as adding towns, loot spawns, etc...
  9. Fine. Kellu's terrian for the most part consist of mostly mountains and nothing else. This encourages everyone to grab an accurate rifle and sit on a hill. Napf has mountains, plains, trees, you name it. Many more cities as well. This encourages all types of combat rather than everyone sitting on a hill with a rifle. Kellu has a "Capture Point" feel to it with how the cities are spaced and distributed. Napf seems more natural and would fit better in an apocalyptic world where surviving is the main goal.
  10. Napf looks a bit more "Done" and detailed. There's more variety in terrain types and there's a few islands that branch off from it. Kellu just seems unfinished to me. And it looks significantly smaller than Napf. My choice would have to be Napf.

Can I Run DayZ Retail (POST HERE)

In short, no. Okay people let's get one thing straight. If you have a laptop, you will most likely not be able to play with steady frames and high graphics unless yours is custom built costing you up to $3,000.

    Two million units sold

To all the member asking for Dean to now start fixing stuff, you are all the most ungrateful people I have ever seen.

Can I Run DayZ Retail (POST HERE)

The X51's Price-to-Performance ratio isn't good... I would suggest building your own. It's really simple and there are tons of how-to vids out there.

    DayZ Ultra Settings + sceneComplexity=3000000

As you can tell from the video, you have EXTREMELY low resolution. 0/10 No beans for you. :emptycan:

Kickass PC setup and weird performance

Keep in mind DayZ does NOT utilize Multi-Core, Hyperthreading, or Multi-GPU, whereas Battlefield 4 does. As an example, I can run BF4 with every setting maxed on any map and pull 130-180 FPS. DayZ, however, I can only get 50-70 normally while dropping into the 40's in cities. The build is good but don't let DayZ be the ruling for its performance. Give the game a few months and by that time, the graphic engine will have been redone and it will provide the missing support that I listed above.
  16. There isn't even a bike in-game yet....

Can I Run DayZ Retail (POST HERE)

No My PC can run it from anywhere between 50-70 FPS while going into the 40's in towns, yet I payed $3,000 for mine. Since the game runs on single-thread, AMD CPU's are going to get you nowhere.

    mosin bullet-travel-time

You realize this has no affect on gameplay, which is why they aren't giving a shit about it.
  19. Well I was just about to reach 2 months this week but my internet decided to take a shit, and my character ran off a cliff while I was DC'ed due to the Anti-Combat Log. *sigh*
  20. Pigs are known to be one of the fastest evolving animals known to man. A farm-raised pig and grow tusks and turn into a wild boar within a few months.

SKS kill thru ATC door + 3 groups clash at NEAF!

This would have been good if there was no 3rd person wall cornering and decreased FOV for a greater iron sight magnification. Sorry. I do like how you gave those bandits what they deserved. Kudos for that.

i cant see hits on opponents.

I'd rather it not show a fountain of blood as it's exaggerating by a huge amount.

    Vehicles? No thanks!

If you are implying DayZ doesn't need vehicles to be successful by placing a Left 4 Dead picture in the background, you'll be sadly mistaken. L4D is a run-and-gun twitch FPS developed by valve for arcade-like experience and fun. DayZ is a Zombie Survival developed for slow progression and making multiple decisions. Two entirely different games. Vehicles are ESSENTIAL to DayZ because it gives a sense of progression. You say the vehicles will be camped and people will know the spawn locations? If so, riddle me this. If they have the ability to randomly spawn players at any point on the map, why can't they do it with vehicles? In short answer, they most certainly can do so. There's one problem fixed. Now you want more animations. Quite the generic "NEED MOAR ANIMS!" that you see in a lot of game development forums these days. I'll make this simple so you'll be sure to understand. Dean doesn't just wake up and simply make an animation and say "lel here ya go :)". It takes MANY hours, if not days in a small studio with little nodes attached to most of your body, and you prancing around trying to replicate what you would wish to see in the game. And after that, it is sent to the office where it is edited to clean up the sharp and ugly points. And it might just be all that time for one animation. You have to give these devs time. Most are working far from home and haven't seen loved ones in ages. I wish people would stop treating the devs as if they are mindless robots that execute everyone's command with haste.
