I like the idea but some concepts need to change, such as: Lower gear don't necessarily mean less noise and lower fuel consumption. I can be in 2nd gear @ 5000 RPM and use more fuel than if I was in 6th gear @ 2000 RPM. You also forgot to mention using the clutch :)

Isn't "DayZ" quite possibly the dumbest name ever?

Or maybe he really wanted to name the game DayZ. Who are you to say it was never really thought about? -

SFRGaming replied to Ozelot (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I don;t think it's odd. It makes lots of sense. The day shit went down is the day everything starts over at 0. Z, known as Zed in other countries(famous name for zombies), is a symbol for the number zero. Thus, the name DayZ is made. -

Because the name is CLEARLY what determines how a game performs right? -
OR you can give the dev team a few more weeks and we can have ragdoll, the MOST realistic death animation possible :D

I do think we need some modular military bags. Yet, i don't see why we can't ditch our melee and replace it with a weapon.

Do somewhere like stary, so all people have an equal distance to run.

I know that but I wanted him to go a bit more in detail. Suggestions are best when they are very detailed

Issue with Campfire No fire/flames.
SFRGaming replied to xLeddeath's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Files that contained the visual effects for the fire could have possibly been deleted. Try running a validation through steam. -

Ever monitor a town from afar via long range scope or binoculars?
SFRGaming replied to Death By Crowbar's topic in New Player Discussion
Witnessed a 6vs5 clan war ( I assume) at NEAF. Was pretty amazing. Shame I wasn't on my recording PC when it happened. -
If I'm not mistaken, most of these features are already implemented XD

It has onboard graphics which is terrible for gaming. I doubt it would very well. What's you're budget?

Making threats over the internet isn't the most effective way to get what you want. Did read the post. 0/10 would no support

It could be he's just VERY careless and is one of those derp survivors that never tries to stay concealed.

I am a guy that read an article on hacking from wikipedia and I know how to fix DayZ.

Experimental brings us hunting, do you want to know what this means?

DayZ is also not a game for everyone. -
I feel the M4A1 should have a value similar to a Mosin.
-
*Sigh* it's a feature they added in called dexterity. I, for one, HATED how the gun seemed glued to you. They added this so when entering a building, you might choose to clear it with a pistol, rather than a Mosin. The pistol doesn't weigh much, therefore, you are able to turn more quickly around a corner. Before they added this, the Mosin had the same room-clearing capability as a pistol, or shotgun, or M4A1, which is terrible. Now it's much more balanced and logical.

The Night of Bad Luck.. aka, The Curse of the AKM
SFRGaming replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
It has nothing to do with a client. Every time you lose session, your server has be restarted for the sake of maintaining server performance and loot. -
No, the flagship ammo they originally had was 5.56x45 and 7.62x51 since there are the 2 most common NATO rounds, making the ammunition usable in a plethora of weaponry. Rather than adding in a 7.62 rifle that should be controlled by a central data base (which we dont have yet), they just made the Mosin use the ammo. Eventually, they will add in the appropriate ammunition (most likely whenever they release the SVD as it uses the same ammunition).

have you not been following what the devs say? It was stated a few days ago the new nav mesh system will fix ALL of the wall glicthing. Plus that system there simply wouldn't work. Unlike real life, solid objects in games do not contain matter. The problem isn't how the room was build, it's how pathfinding currently works. As I stated above, the team from bratislava is implementing a brand new nav mesh code to replace our current pathfinding system.
