Oh, you're one of those guys that doesn't understand why they did that, aren't you?
-
Why do we need this as a feature when we already have every item as currency? I'm completely opposed to a set currency. I'd rather have people trading any item for another.
-
I teamed up with a guy and I guess he slipped his mic button cause I heard "Yea, I'm going to betray hi-". All that I needed to hear.
-
We have a shouldered, but not aimed down sight, firing position. That's good enough.
-
That might be the ONLY situation. Besides, they have bigger priorities at the moment.
-
Ask yourself this. If it was the apocalypse and ammunition is VERY limited, would you fire from the hip, or aim down sight?
-
I can respect the fact you spent a lot of time putting this together, but I can;t bring myself to enjoy this as it's just a clan shooting new-ish people on the east coast a newer towns. I'd have liked it if it displayed a decent holdup (but the one I saw in the vid just ended up in your mate shooting the guy). Just my opinion.

Yea, it takes a great height to die just from impact. An inventor once fell 50 ft and lived (though he was paralyzed).

Has anyone got a list/details of the next update?

We now have a MP5 with an OEM Buttstock and Foregrip as standard attachments. It has the ability to use both red-dot sights from the M4A1 as well as the BUIS (although it's strangely placed). However, it cannot use the ACOG. It uses 9mm ammunition in a (I believe) 25rnd. MP5 magazine. A new police hat was added, along with the Gorka Jacket. Weapon sway has been fixed and now has a smooth appeal to it. Used to, the weapon sway was very rough and it kind of dotted around randomly, rather than being smooth like in Arma 3, but it's now been fixed and is a significant improvement. We have also received a flashbang which has a really nice effect and can prove viable in PvP situations. Police stations now have a rail going along the perimeter of the roof to help save people from unintentionally falling off. We have a new town called Turovo located NE of Novod. Novod's town hall has been replaced with a brand new HUGE tower. Spit-balling 25+ stories, it can be expected there will be many sniper battles in the near future. The M4A1 has received a new sound and from a personal standpoint, it's absolutely perfect. There is a small glitch with the melee system. After 10-15 swings, you're melee refuses to work. Relogging seems to fix. Only a few people have reported being affected by it. Hotfix to go out today or tomorrow. That's all for right now. Developers Incapable of Prioritizing Properly

I'm trying to show you that adding guns and clothes has NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on the development of 64-bit, ragdoll, cars, new render-er, etc -

Artists =/= Programmers -
Actually, I'm not. I hate PvP. I play hardcore a lot so I like having a backpack small enough where I can look over my shoudler.
-
I made a suggestion to take a World of Tanks-like approach. You can have the same old 3pp we have now, but anything outside of your avatars 1pp field of view wont be rendered.
-
I'd rather have a medium-dark green pack with 30 slots, rather than a traffic-cone orange pack with 35 slots

I really wish they would capitalize organization of your inventory. At the moment you can put weapon mags in protector cases inside your backpack and can still reload on the jiffy. Considering we already have assault/HC Vests, I think they should have the most benefit for storing mags. This is where a "Take your backpack off to interact with it" function could easily be put in. Say you wanted to access your backpack: Clicking the backpack would put you in an animation where you take the pack off of your back, set it on the ground, and open it (zipping noise from the mod). If you wanted access to your pants / jacket / vest, they could easily replicate the inventory animation from Arma 3. From a reloading standpoint, vest would result the quickest reload time, pants / jacket would result a decent (but not the fastest) reload, and the backpack would result the slowest (considering you'd have to take the backpack off, remove the mag, put the pack back on, and load the mag in). Organizing your inventory needs to be a huge factor.

Guns that use 7.62x39 in DayZ: SKS and AKM Guns that use 5.56x45 in DayZ: M4A1 That's why -
Making a simple animation is easy. Making an animation for a popular game with over 2 million players isn't the easiest.

You most likely joined a server with a separate database. For me, I have to join servers that are Public, Regular, and 40 man max server pop. I could probably join servers with a slightly different criteria, but I'd rather not risk it.

Off topic #2: Well, I can tell you from multiple tests and slow-speed camera results, the reason the AK CAN be inaccurate at times is mostly due to 2 factors. 1). The sights are really close together, giving more room for error when aligning the sights to take a shot. 2). The barrel likes to shake a lot under full auto fire. Some people may say I pulled those 2 out of my ass but it's what I (and others) have experienced. Me being a GUN enthusiast, and not a specific country weapons enthusiast (big difference ; Gun enthusiast likes any gun respectively, specific is biased), There are some Cons with the Pros on the M4A1. Pros: Light, ergonomically efficient, accurate, high rate-of-fire, easy to use. Cons: Sights are REALLY encumbering (I have ALWAYS ditched the carry handles on my AR-15's and substituted a BUIS-styled rear sight), the round the weapon utilizes is not as large as the 7.62 the AK fires, but is still very deadly due to tumbling. NOW back to the game: The survivors (when steady and not fatigued, and disregarding the weapon sway bug) hold the sights PERFECTLY lined up. From a game standpoint, the AKM should be really accurate, since there is no room for error and the barrel obviously can't shake. In my opinion, the differences between the AKM and the M4A1 should go like this: AKM: High Damage, High Accuracy, High Recoil, Effective Range of 400m M4A1: Medium Damage, High Accuracy, Low-Medium Recoil, Effective Range of 500m This gives the weapons nice trade-offs and introduces a play style. On a public note: I have yet to receive any military training (I am debating on enlisting), but I have countless hours spent on the range and have participated in a plethora of trial runs and a multitude of different exercises. I KNOW someone here is going to call me out, saying "Oh you've just been to a range you don't know how the real military life is and you don't understand what it's like to be shot at." And you know what...You're right, I don't. But what I do know is I have had extensive training with many different weapon systems, and I can put rounds into a target @ 300m with irons all day long. Just because someone doesn't have military training, doesn't mean they don't know how to operate a firearm of some sort. Chances are, if you come across an American that lives in the South or Mid-West, they've fired a weapon before (for a long time at that). And for TheWanderingMan: It doesn't matter if you serve a few tours killing terrorists left and right. It doesn't matter if you're training other recruits to fire a M16A2 during their 2nd phase. It doesn't matter if you sit at a desk all day. There are no 'Speical' Marines, there are no meaningless Marines. A Marine, is a Marine.
