It's not them making the game easier. It's just simply compensation for not having vehicles at all. It was a very good move made by the devs.

You guys are being a bit irrational. Yes, searching for another thread MIGHT have helped, but there is a huge chance that all the other threads might not suit her question.

Just to clear this up, lag is the GPU failing to maintain a 1:1 refresh timing with the screen. The screen refreshes on a set speed and never changes. It goes like so: tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick. and so on and so forth The GPU however, it's render speed can be affected by what it is rendering. If the frame it is trying to render is very complex, and contains lots of events, effects, etc, the GPU may take longer to render out the scene. It may render like so: tick..tick.tick......tick.tick...tick..tick...tick.tick And when the render and refresh speed don't line up, it looks like this: tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick.tick. tick..tick.tick...tick.....tick..tick..tick.tick.tick.....tick.tick..tick As you can see, some render and refresh speeds line up, while others do not. When this happens it skips the frame. This cause what we know as lag. A skip / pause in Server > Client is know as Desync and / or Lerp.

I would say here: http://dayzdb.com/map#7.119.062 It's relatively equidistant for you and your mates. I would be very cautious as there may be people there, but you should be fine.

Lucky for you, that city is planted right on top of the main highway and railway. If your friends can find either one, tell them to run North (if they are South of you, or East if they are West of you) until they hit a huge city. Good luck on meeting up with your friends. Have fun!

I could be wrong but I believe a bug has risen lately regarding this. Best to contact an administrator as I have no experience with the bug. As a quick measure, make sure you're running at your recommended screen resolution via Right Click your desktop > Screen Resolution and there should be a slider.

I'd like to see 1-2 specific explosives that you could modify for different purposes, rather than a whole plethora of specific explosives. It'd would be a great crafting opportunity.

No, due to statistics, it is the most inaccurate pistol. The most accurate being the Amphibia.
-
Well the Magnum is the most inaccurate pistol so....

when is coming the note to stay?

You have done a fantastic job at making people feel welcomed on this forum. :) -
I love it when people think bikes are going to make traversing Chernarus so much easier, because it won't. I could care less for vehicles at the moment. i'm siding with Dean on this one; I firmly believe Persistent Storage & Barricading will have a much larger impact. Hell, I wonder what makes people so pissed at running everywhere.... Maybe it's the constant "crunch crunch crunch thump thump crunch smack crunch crunch thump crunch" sound you hear when you run. V  V

When did they make DayZ look so awful?
SFRGaming replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
We will never know until the engine has been completely revamped (in progress). Good christ, you should be able to max the game with ease. Either A). You over payed waaaaay too much for AMD parts (Which I doubt), or B). You have become a victim of a recent bug. -
The running speed is fast now to compensate for the lack of vehicles. People complain that we don't have bikes yet, but if they would do some research, they would see they basically are a bike with the current run speed.
-
He describes my point entirely at the 7:57 mark.
-
It was a sarcastic phrase basically stating he should not be experiencing lag with his rig. For lols, tell me your definition of lag.

Looks the same here. -
Not very well.
-
I would predict more, but DayZ has terrible hardware scaling due to the lack of support for modern technology.
-
DayZ. Is. In. Alpha. Has. Not. Been. Optimized. Yet. Wait. Til. Beta. For. Optimization. P.S.: Why would you bother setting Res. Scaling to 200%?
-
I wouldn't put that in stone until the engine has been revamped.
-
I grew up hunting a plethora of game animals as well. If you're running around on the ground hunting deer, you're doing it wrong. I digress, a calm situation is a shooter's ideal conditions. I just can't see why people are complaining about this so much. The sway is = to or maybe even less than Arma 3's sway and people in Arma 3 seem to be fine with it. I agree there's a fine line but you also want to stray from hyper-realism.

It'd still be better than what we have now. It currently looks like the weapon's operator has shoved his eye to be in direct contact with the first lens. I still see this logical due to this bit here:
