Could we have a sticky on Private Server rules then?

Muduux (spell?) on the server is having 200-300 ping and saying he's not getting yellow/red link at all and no rubber-banding. Still need more concurrent users for load testing though: more worried about the cpu usage then bandwidth, but we'll just have to see!

People play on the server from Australia to western Europe and have 150 ping and no lag in game. US players get 30 to 80 ping. The server runs Bliss, crashed vehicles are spawned every server restart, and the server is restarted every six hours. Additionally, the database is backed up every hour, so if we DID have a hacker outbreak, we can (and have) restored the database with only an hour progress lost for users. Additionally, the server is "not like all the others" in the case of hacker mitigation. We have a custom application for whitelisting users. Again, I'm not doing this for money. I have chip in links below the whitelist payment option, but the whitelist option goes straight to supporting te exact monthly cost of the server. A 7 day refund process is in place should the player not be satisfied with the server, granted they have no rule breaking strikes on them.

Ghosting is when you leave a server, move to your new position, then log back into the original server

If someone hasn't mentioned it already, just watch the Quickstart guides at the Guidez channel and you'll see me pickup weapons pretty early on. Regardless, having a gun or not having a gun are essentially the same. A player with or without a crappy gun from the start is going to die the same way and amount until they get used to the game.

I'll take a peek, but just as a note: I consider it bad practice to ask for subs. If people like your content and it's good, people will subscribe on their own. When I started the Guidez channel, I just did it for kicks. A few months later it's 4,300 subs with 590k+ total views. Just get the right stuff going, and don't copy everyone else. And DON'T ask for subs. It's like asking "Can I be an admin? Can I be an admin?"

I agree with this mostly: At the very least watch some of the videos in the Beginner's list on the Guidez channel, and don't watch the quickstarts or anything like that. The beginners list should go over bag space and some mechanics, but I recommend the quickstarts only after you've had the DayZ experience all to yourself for a while

I haven't gotten hacked in a while, and the times I did was from when I didn't cover up my stream on Twitch or actually showed my server and asked for a hacker to come kill me (again, streaming)

Been hearing great things about DayZ Commander. Don't use it myself though(straight steam). Go with DayZ Commander

Well, you'd be surprised how many people don't bother to read the stickies in this forum. To stay in topic though: since the threat in this game is real life humans, don't act like other players are npc's. For instance, you think "that hill would be great for sniping from". It probably is. And 20 other dead people thought that as well.

The snapping occurred, I believe, because the stupid NPC's don't know how to shoot at what I told them to aim at XD I will be doing a video for every gun, not just rare ones. There will be a new gun video every day until all the guns have been used. Maybe will do some equipment as well, like smoke grenades and stuff... Oooh, I know, how the mounted huey gun sounds :D

Read log notes? Fixing was attempted, and seems to have fixed most glitches? Ever care to think that maybe the glitches are occurring from something new or the reported sources were incorrect? They have no control over that.

Considering I've never seen a satchel charge outside of single player, most people would agree 30 satchel charges is either duping or server hopping. And that's no fun.
