Next time, try getting close to each other, then logging off and back on. Heard that worked on older versions of dayz. Also, I think different beta versions might not show text.

You won't generally see a sniper, they tend to be well hidden. But, a good tip is just to be aware of where you are. If you are about to get on a roof, look around for higher places in the distance. The main factory in cherno has a pretty full view of the entire city for example.

I like the three hearts system. And you can't use the DMR unless you have five hearts.

I don't know if the animations will be any better, but honestly I wouldn't understand the point to wait, unless you have plenty other games to play and are engrossed with. It's like saying "Hey, I am gonna wait and not buy THIS graphics card, because the one coming 6 months down the road is better." Yeah, no freaking way: And six months from then, there will be ANOTHER graphics card 6 months away that is better.

I came across a new player that didn't know how to chat. I had him use the "vault" key (jump over fence key) for "Yes"'s until I taught him how to chat in game.

Nope: The fence hitting sounds and branch breaking are currently not tied to any triggers. I wish. Climbing ladders, footsteps and belly-ground rubbing noises are your only audible queues at this point.
