  1. I'd rather have slow development than a broken "finished" game. Anyway, there are other games to play during the pauses.

Do bandits really exist on DayZ Standalone?

I haven't played in a long time. But with ~20 hours I've only killed 2 people, but they both attacked first. During the first few days of the release there weren't any bandits, just confused people in the dark.

when fresh spawns attack! (funny as hell)

Interesting, but he actually didn't do much wrong. He felt threatened because he was outnumbered and the 'new-spawn' was really aggressive. Obviously as things turned out, he was right to feel that way.

    Should DayZ have music? (Poll)

Radios will be implemented and Dean mentioned making community radio stations run by players, that's why there shouldn't be music. If we want to listen to it, we need to survive long enough to be able to enjoy it. Also, music wouldn't fit the game since it's trying to be 'authentic/realistic', the game does however need good ambient noise (there was a video demonstrating it but I can't find it).

Do you Think DayZ Should Port to Console?

Having it on PS4 is unlikely, and if it does come, will not be for a long time. DayZ won't be done for ~2-3 years. Porting it to console would take even longer. So if you're waiting for a PS4 version expect it in 4-5 years, if ever. Optimizing DayZ for PCs is going to take a lot of work, because even great PCs have trouble running it. So porting it to inferior hardware will hit it even harder. (This probably won't be an issue when the game is done, but you never know) Also, if you've played DayZ or Arma 2 you'll know that almost every key is a command, you use the entire keyboard when playing. Getting those controls over to a controller with a dozen buttons is going to require a lot of creativity or a lot of dumbing down, either way, it won't be good. TL;DR Don't expect it to come to PS4 within the next 3-4 years if ever. Um, you realize how sloppy DayZ/Arma runs right? Top of the line PCs sometimes can't handle how clunky the optimization is. A PS4 could probably run it, but certainly not on max.

There's no reason to go to the NWAF or the north anymore (here's why)

That's probably sarcasm. But I want that in game now, other than the player-skin part.

So I just saw a server named "Friendly! No KOS! 24/7 day! 3PP: ON!"

Instead of KOSing people, make allies, and say that you need some blood but the only way to get blood is by handcuffing them. If they comply, melee them to death. If they don't shoot them. Now they understand what PvE means. People (are) very Evil.

The very first kill. Do you remember yours?

I only have ~3 kills in my total time playin DayZ (mod and standalone) even after playing the Mod for a few months. The first 2 were simply new-spawn fist fight deathmatches which somehow I won even if I didn't instigate it. Third kill was when my friend and I were attacked by someone likely hunting new-spawns on the coast. So we're looting a factory in Kamarovo (this was prior to the spawn change) and we start hearing gunshots, we figure it was one of us hitting the floor by accident and continue. We walk outside and I get shot by a mosin, I survive with barely any health, and we both run back inside, I bandage myself and we try figuring out where this guy is. We creep around a wall and he's just around the corner, sorting thru his inventory most likely chambering another round. So my friend just sprint at him with his axe raised and lands a hit or 2 on him, I circle around them and attack from the other side (so I don't hit my friend). We knock him to the ground twice, he's bleeding and likely 2 seconds away from death. He stands up after being knocked down the second time and combat logs. It wasn't confirmed as a kill since he logged out but I'm considering it my first REAL kill, because it's not just punching an overly aggressive new-spawn to death.

Holy hell! Red glowing bullet firing hacker gun?!

You don't understand how Steam works. A VAC ban is possible, which would disabled them from playing VAC supported games (all multiplayer Valve games, like TF2 and CSS, DayZ and a few others have VAC too), but if they went to play CoD or Rust they'd still be able to get in.

    Playing the mod again..

I agree. Everything the Standalone has is better than how it works in the mod, with the exception being health/food notifications.

Holy hell! Red glowing bullet firing hacker gun?!

Take a can of beans, a batteries, a knife, a flashlight, matches and sticks. Break open one battery, poor the acid in the can (after you empty it) and use the sticks and matches to burn it. Now poor the concoction in the flashlight where the batteries go and turn it on. Bam, energy shield, now throw it on the ground, stand up and snipe that bandit who has a laser automatic sniper rifle.

    Do you combat log?

With ~1,000,000 sales. There's WAYYY more than that. I've combat logged once. I spawned in house after my PC crashed and a guy had just opened the door as I logged in. All I saw was the door finish opening and a guy swap his gun out for his axe. I thought "I just logged in, I'm not dying from this shit", and logged out. If I had tried anything else I'd be dead and he wouldn't even get the gear due to the body bug (this was prior to the fix). If this happened again, where I log in and I'm 1 seconds away from being butchered with no way of defending myself, I might do it again. In any other scenario (except obvious hacks) I'd accept my fate, because I've been on the other end. There's nothing more disappointing (except for maybe death with high level gear) then gaining the upper hand on someone who KoSed you, and far-out gears you, only for them to combat log right before you deliver the killing blow.

    Settling Down - Bases

If you plan on having a base that you've built from the ground up, you'd have to do that on a private hive, or a private server linked to the main hive. That way ghosting is almost impossible.

    Stream Sniping A Huge Problem

Delay the stream by X amount of time. So stuff you did shows up to viewers a few minutes after it happens. Problem solved (mostly, they still generally know where you are)
