  1. We have used Vilayer and have nothing but praise for them as well as Vert. Forgot to mention them :) zkirby
  2. Hey guys, Kurtz from Ruthless Toothless gaming here. As many of you know we have hosted our fair share of servers on most of the big name hosting providers. The list includes Vert, GTX, Dayz.st, G40/DayzPriv, HFB, and a few others. Recently we decided to take advantage of Survival Servers $20 server offer. Well, you certainly get what you pay for.... Ok, sort of... The problem? You really don't get close to what you pay for. Our first server was set up within minutes. Ok this was looking good. But after multiple attempts to get the server working (Overpoch already set up by SS) we threw in the towel. Nothing spawned correctly, the traders were all jacked up, the de-sync was horrendous, and support was abysmal at best. A few of my tickets were answered (4-5 days later) with "Don't worry, we will look into it soon" Lol, Don't worry? Our entire player base just left, we are a little worried Bro! Nothing was ever right, nothing ever worked. Long story short, we cancelled the server and ordered another, thinking maybe we just got a lemon of a server, possibly a recycled server from some other dude who threw in the Survival Servers towel. Second server paid for, 4 days went by before we even heard from them and our server was finally set up. Tried to log into the console and nothing. Lodged multiple tickets over a6-7 days, none of which were answered. Now we had just dropped $25 on a second server and 11-12 days later we couldn't even get into the server console to restart it or look at the PBO's. Enough was enough, I very kindly requested a refund. Here was their response: "We do not issue refunds, please also understand that we are not responsible for every bug with Overpoch. there is not a "perfect" set of files that have been publicly released like they do for Epoch" It's a new mod and under development. We NEVER claimed anywhere that it was perfect, we only claim to support Overpoch in its most basic form. I will check on the unknown issue for you. Sincerely, Chad, Survival Servers" I had no problem with Overpoch as a mod. My refund request was for not having access to a server I paid for 11 days prior. Well, there you have it. Don't be an asshat like me and learn form others mistakes. I have a paypal dispute going right now to try to get my $25 bucks back. Yeah I know, it's not a lot but it's BS to charge people for something you cannot deliver. Stay clear of them, they will rob you blind and offer no support whatsoever. -Col Kurtz
  3. Just wanted to throw shout out for Vert Hosting. I cannot say enough good about these guys. I've used a lot of companies in the past, some good some bad. Most recently I attempted to run 2 servers "Overpoch" on Survival Servers..... Yeah I know, should have listened to all of you. In short they are terrible, they are thief's, and their customer service is non existent. I'm currently in the middle of a PayPal dispute with them as the 2nd server took 3 days to be created, and after a week it never worked i.e. it was hard down. I kindly asked for a refund and was told they do not give refunds lol. Anyways, I switched to Vert and couldn't be happier. James answers almost every ticket or email within minutes which is amazing. Survival would take 2-3 days and usually the reply was that they will get to the ticket soon. SurvivalServers.com = thieves. Do not host with them. Learn from my mistakes lol. zkirby Ruthless Toothless Gaming ruthlesstoothless.enjin.com

    I would also steer clear of Survival Servers. Their customer service is non existent. They do not care about the customer r the product they are selling. I have ordered two servers from them, and both never worked. After a week of tickets by me they finally sent me an email saying they would be looking at my ticket shortly. Oh and the average time for any ticket to be responded ot is about 3-4 days and they have only ever answered 50% of my tickets, sometimes the answer they send is "don't worry about it" we are working on it. lol what a joke..... Don't worry about it? I'm paying for something I am not getting, I'm a little worried about it. My server mysteriously worked for a day and then went down again with the "unknown" status. I kindly asked for a refund and this is the reply I received: "We do not issue refunds, please also understand that we are not responsible for every bug with Overpoch. There is not a "perfect" set of files that have been publicly released like they do for Epoch. It is a new mod and under development. We NEVER claimed anywhere that it was perfect, we only claim to support Overpoch in its most basic form. I will check on the unknown issue for you. Sincerely, Chad, Survival Servers Follow us @ https://twitter.com/SurvivalServers for up-to-date news & announcements" This has nothing to do with any mod, the server did not work period. Nobody could join and it constantly showed 10000 ping. Another thing: Their Overpoch servers come with jacked up PBO's and Databases. There are traders that buy and sell the overwatch gear but it's all messed up in that nothing is called correctly in the DB so it doesn't highlight for your players and the class names are incorrect. This is a royal pain in the A to fix. Just my two cents I guess so if you like throwing away money give them a shot lol. My advice is to stay very clear of these guys. They are dishonest and will steal your money.

  7. UPDATE: 21 November 2013 RADIO TRANSMISSION: If anyone is listening we need your help now more than ever. If we are to survive we must band together and rid our lands of not only the infected but the increasing number of bandits that are plaguing our communities. I've set up a small camp in an attempt to come together and fight the bandits. We have food and water available and a limited amount of supplies. Beware of Sabina, the Bandits have really stepped up their activity in the city. Just yesterday we lost three good men there. As always, keep the faith - Out... In other news, stay tuned for your weekend update.... -Bandits have built a sizeable encampment in the fields near the racetrack and continue to bolster their numbers there. - recent Imagery of the compound indicate at least barracks, possibly more while HUMINT has confirmed they are stockpiling rare weapons on site. -Intel has intercepted recent long range radio transmissions and expects an arrival of new fighting vehicles never before seen by the Ruthless Toothless survivors in the coming days. -The Bandits have also continued their assault on Sabina and have almost completely taken over the town square. In addition to this they have begun setting up checkpoints on the outskirts of the city in an attempt to keep survivors out. That's all folks, stay tuned for more info. remember to download Taviana as well as add the startup script into your settings on DAYZ COMMANDER: -mod=@Taviana;
