2 wrongs never make a right. Bandit numbers keeping going down and average life keeps going up. Random shooting is down. Being in a big group prompts players to shoot on sight. Especially if they themselves are in their own group.
-
This is still fought about here? It is simple. People kill others because currently there is nothing else to do. Even then not many do it as the percent of bandits has been lower than what it was a month or so ago. The average life is rising. In real life I can get a job or watch a movie when I am bored and have nothing to do. In DayZ when you get the best gear and a vehicle and some tents with your buddies. Well...there ain't jack shit to do and groups go around killing people because it is a videogame and videogames have limits.

The average is based on how long you survive in game first off. 20 minutes in game and 20 minutes not playing would be a 20minute character. You have to be alive for a certain amount of time for your life to count towards the average. I have no clue what it is, but my guess is 5 minutes.

Average Life Span Increased to 45 Minutes!
JPalmer replied to Caviano's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Respawning for a badspawn does not count towards the average. There is a certain time you need to be alive to be counted towards the average. Stop denying the truth. People are getting better and mainstream Youtube star's fanbases aren't ruining the game. -
And you aren't adding to it by complaining about the arguers. This update has done nothing to regress the mod. The zombies are easy as hell to get by if you have a pinch of patience and gunshots barely call out zombies as badly as before. The game runs smoother and melee is working better. Plus it is a rolling update. Anything wrong particularly with this update will be fixed or tweaked soon. Hence rolling update.

Why were the yogscast allowed to do this?
JPalmer replied to ryansongy@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Have you actually watched the videos? They are very judgmental of the mod while they approached the mod from a way that really doesn't give them the experience to judge it. They stated in part 1 they barely did research. They are calling it boring and buggy. They don't know what to do and are judging for reasons that no one should be right now. I am fine with them playing it, with starting gear and such, but the videos should be funny. Not them judging it in the wrong way the entire fucking series. It isn't fair to rocket and others behind the mod, they are brainwashing their loyal subs in the wrong way and in turn are pretty much saying DayZ is bad. Look at the comments. You already have people who never played calling it bad because the Yogscast said it was. It's stupid. -

I was all fine with these videos too. Private server? Makes sense. Starting gear. I understand millions of people watching can't spend 20 mins getting stuff. Running around like idiots? Okay that's how they play games it is pretty funny. Then what do they do? They start fucking judging the game/mod badly. Even after they stated they didn't do any research on it. Like how does approaching games like they do give them a right to judge it? I really want to smack both of them right in the fucking face. -
SO much easier than the last infected. Sure they can see you from father away, but their bodies have to be in your direction. And they can not hear as well. Throwing a can away from your target makes getting around super easy. Also prone is back to making you invisible except if you are on pavement. If on pavement you have 1 bar for each which is not that bad.

How will people lose zombies when they become fast indoors?
JPalmer replied to amudkipz's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Lose line of sight. Do not run when one sees you. Crouch run. Go around some builds and go prone. Infected in the new update now see better, but hear less. Losing sight of them is the best and really only option. Running into a building makes you quieter so that helps. -
Having to eat every hour....eh..what?.
JPalmer replied to Slyguy65's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It creates another roadblock. You have to either hunt or risk going into town eery now and then to hunt. If it was like real life I could kill one cow and live for 8 in game days before I have to risk my character again. The short time period of needing food allows people who can only play maybe a half hour a day to be affected by it. Also the average life is 38 mins. If you had to eat food once every 6 hours the average player would never have to. Finally it's a game/mod. You can only also make a argument for why we don't piss, shit, sleep, wash, shave, etc, etc, etc. -
DayZ Creator Ponders a Free-to-Play Standalone Version
JPalmer replied to pr0cess's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Worried because the free to play format gives you the game for free. And yes you can play it for free. But you want an alice pack £2' date=' want a silenced rifle £8 want some morphine x10 for £3. See why I am worried by the phrase "free to play" ? [/quote'] Because every free-to-play model out there is like that(sarcasm). Day Z would not be a game that sells power. It would ruin everything about it. -
The Yogcast video sure did ruin the community

Ya my bad. -
WTF is happening to the server community.
JPalmer replied to Koot (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Life expectancy is up to 38. It was 28 when bandit skins were removed. 31 before 1.7.1.5. What Death Match we talking about? -

I should have included in the OP that the average life has went up 7 minutes since that video was released. I hope most of you understand that the title was sarcasm. -
