    All I can think is to keep hitting supermarkets and eat all the cans of food u can find, also there is a good chance of finding matches to light a fire at supermarkets, some people may not agree but after u finish looting log out and join another server then loot the same place again to speed things up although I wouldn't do this unless I was very close to death.

    I was having the same problem, try downloading six updater and use it to update your dayz mod, that's what I did and I havnt had the problem since, hope this helps just search in google to find the six updater download link
