indeed. however you may have noticed that if there is one thing that unites all decent players it is this. the use of scripts or hacks by players within the mod is un-f*cking-acceptable. and this video shows precisely that, albeit in a rather different context, unfortunately that context is not made clear in the video itself and as such anyone who views it and loves dayz will be repelled by it.

what we have here is a few guys having fun, sharing a private joke which should have remained private. it was startlingly unwise to post this video, that much is certain and again I say, true fans of the mod will always be moved to suspicion and anger when they see footage which contains the use of the toys of cheats. The fact that it seemed to be posted in the name of musty, a group which boasts moderators from this very forum on its staff seems almost designed to create dispute.

I appreciate the metaphor and I understand the subtleties of parody. however if you post a video clearly showing the use of 'tools' which are largely responsible for the near ruination of this incredible mod expect a backlash.

because they watched a video which showed a player, possibly an administrator, using, what to all intents and purposes is a hack, a method of cheating used too often by those who have ruined the game. although as previously stated it seems in this instance no cheating occurred, it has taken 6 pages of explanation and argument to establish that fact. you can forgive players for feeling angry, even now after the facts have emerged, it's use in the video still seems unnecessary and distasteful. my point was not it's availability for admins, only that infinite ammo can not be sensibly described as a tool for administrating a server.

infinite ammunition can never be described as an admin tool that is just foolish talk. although it's use here may not be classed as cheating per se in any other situation that is the only way it can be viewed. it's crass and demeans the mod.

no right thinking person, after reading all explainations can accuse this guy of cheating however as has been said by others it is extremely unhelpful for 'responsible' members of the community to post a video which clearly shows the use of hacks. especially when that group tries to hold itself up as a paragon of virtue as far as representing this game is concerned. cheating no, silly gaff yes and you sir are the biggest troll on the thread every post you make is inflammatory and insulting, you should stop throwing stones inside that glass house you inhabit, it's rather embarrassing.

I remember it was at night in starry there was a storm rolling in from the north, the lightening illuminated the town and through my binos I just caught a brief glipmpse, a snapshot of 2 players down amongst the tents before they melted away back into the rain soaked darkness. I put the binos away pulled out my military shotgun and headed off through the storm towards the tents visibility was poor to say the least, and lightening only punctuated the darkness occasionally but I had flares in my inventory I had moved around to the wasteland area just behind the gaz, they were looting in a zig zag fashion and were about to emerge from the last tent when I threw the flare, I ran directly across to the opposite side and while they flapped and panicked about I open up with the shotgun I got hit by zeds and had to get away, so didn't manage to profit from my courage, but I did see the 2 death messages appear in beautiful harmony with the thuds my shots and I felt pretty good about the outcome
