    Has this been happening on every server you try to join? If it only happens on select few server(s), and it happens to other players aswell? Then the Server admin should look into the servers bandwidth settings. (basic.cfg)

    DayZ Server Dsynch help

    Hello, (My apologies if this is in the wrong forums) I am posting this because i have been having a very tough time with one of my DayZ Servers running off of my dedicated machine. I have recently reinstalled an Epoch Chernarus Server on my dedi and ever since then there has been nothing but trouble... Every Day, between 22:30 and 23:30 GMT+1 My Epoch server #1 takes a ginormous shit all over me and the players. We experience a period of 100000 Desynch that lasts for over an hour usually, and makes the server completely unplayable. All the players have a red chain and on each others screens they are moving in one place (not actually moving) Eventhough people are ingame, no one can see any chat, and it is as if the server has crashed. (trouble connecting etcetc.) However other times of the day, it performs perfectly and can easily handle 50+players. My Teamspeak and other DayZ server, that are hosted off of the same machine, perform flawlessly also during that time period....with no desynch or lag issues at all. And i continue to get a steady 250Mbit/s UP and 250Mbit/s DOWN on the Dedicated. I have been struggling to see what is causing this, and have not come to a conclusion yet so that is why i am posting this.     I doubt it's anything to do with the network load :o , as my Other Epoch server and Teamspeak 3 have not ever had these issues up to date.. and they are hosted on the same machine. Been trying to see whats causing this for the last hour and a half, and without success lol. Thats why i posted here and on the OpenDayZ forums. But thanks for your replies anyway, If anyone else has any ideas i'll be glad to listen.

    Hey, thanks for the reply The thing that i find strange is that for the rest of the day, (last 12 hours) the server had a consistent 35-45 player count and we did not experience a single red chain or other connection or lag problem. These issues always occur around the tame timestamp of the day, and the number of players hasn't been affecting the lag (ie, It starts with 5 or 50 players on) Thanks

I don't believe the ability to server hop to get more loot in the same area, or to change your position for combat advantages is within the game mechanics, I believe it is an EXPLOIT of the game mechanics, that could and should have been fixed a long time ago...(ALONG WITH THE LOOT SPAWNING PROBLEMS) but nevertheless it has not yet been fixed as we all know, so I hope it does get as soon as possible :)

I can completely understand that.However I do think these bugs / exploits should have been addressed BEFORE releasing the game to the public( even as an alpha!!!), as they are VERY game breaking. I mean there have been various ways to prevent combat logging in the Dayz mod and some ideas could have been taken from that and implemented a long time ago, even if they would be changed later on in development. Ie. Abort Timer, logging out in combat results in death/gear loss or logging out in combat will make you spawn back in passed out for several minutes. The server hopping I still don't have any suggestions on how they can fix this, except for making it take 5 minutes to load into a new server. (like In the mod) I think these long load in times would make people stay on the same server more..
  12. Both should be banned Imo, lol One for cheating/ scripting, Other for combat logging and or server hopping. Shame it's soooooo hard for the "devs" to implement something called a log out timer to prevent the most obvious combat logz.

  14. Hello, (n00b question here ) I was wondering how many players/ dayz server(s) this dedicated machine could handle, with A connection speed of: - 150Mbit/s UP - 150Mbit/s DOWN. Unmetered Bandwidth Would it be able to handle two (2) FULL DayZ servers and run smoothly with no connection/network problems? Possibly even with a 30 slot Teamspeak hosted off of it aswell. = 100-130 MAX people connected at once. My main concern is the network speed.,CPU and RAM usage doesn't go over 15-20% with one full server and a Teamspeak hosted off it. (And I have seen the dayzmod server hardware requirements, just wondering how many players/ servers my machine could handle.) Other specs include: Intel Xeon e3-1240 v3 @ 3.4+GHz 32gb ddr3 1333 RAM 2 120 gb SSD's windows Server 2008 r2 web any replies are appreciated! Thanks

    A few questions concerning bugs

    The problems you stated are most likely server sided issues, only occurring on the server(s) that you play on. I thought the "mouse wheel issues" were fixed quite a while ago on "regular" DayZ I remember when I had the problems that pressing P a few times would fix it, or opening and closing the map several times. Best contact your Server admin if you don't get it working Good luck :o

    Are Server Admins still Abusive?

    Hi, I have played on many servers, and have seen a fair share of abusive admins in the past, i have also seen the outright stupid ones that don't know a single thing about running a server yet alone playing the game... I think whoever kicked you in that video is one of those 12 year old squeakers, that in my opinion should be banned from having anything to do with "server administration" I have also found very many servers in which the admins were very active, SMART, knew enough about the game and mod to make a fair judgement of what is legit and what is not and i had great fun on servers like this, with no issues at all to do with the admins. So i would say the majority of server admins out there do a great job in 'admining' their server(s), but then there are those few pre-pubescent little kids that like to play around with the tools they are given, giving all those other admins a bad name and rep. Due to the fact very many private hive servers have 3rd party tools to admin their servers. (They can do a lot of game breaking things) my best advice is to find a good official server with a steady playerbase and you should be all good :) Good luck

    Yep i have also noticed this, and it sure is annoying. Would be cool if they were to up the melee weapon range slightly or even lower the zombie hitting range by a tiny bit. :o

    Yeah, that is true.. The character does get sent to debug and back Do you happen to know what outfit it was you changed into? I'm guessing that error has something to do with whatever gets passed onto it being hidded and then unhidden.. (please correct me if i'm wrong)

    Do you know what you were doing ingame before you got banned? ie. Hiding a body? May also want to ask the admins what log file that came from.
  22. In the BattlEye folder of your server, you will find a file called bans.txt. All your bans are 'stored' there, you will have to transfer the bans.txt from your old server, to all the other servers... I don't think theres an option to transfer banlists on DaRT
  23. Quite a few people seem to be having issues with DaRT lately, including myself. but for the love of god don't post the same shit twice, It was understood the first time... All i can say is possibly try restarting the tool or maybe even re installing it, i don't know. Good luck :)

The DayZ mods do eat up more of your systems resources than just regular ARMA i believe. and your system does seem to be a little on the lower end side of things. :/ However there are some things that you can try to increase your fps (even if its a tiny bit) - Make sure you close/exit out of any unnecessary processes/ programs while playing the game. ( I had Steam running - downloading an update for Payday 2 the other day, and whilst it was updating, my DayZ was Jittering like a BITCH, lol) - You could try editing/adding some launch parameters. (you can do this in DayZ Commander > Settings > Additional Launch parameters) may want to consider looking here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28160-guide-how-to-set-up-your-graphics-properly/ - And then again, which you said you have done already, try tweak your ingame video settings. See thread above ^^ But in the end, i think a system upgrade would be the best for you, even if its just a slightly better CPU/GPU Good Luck :)

    Help no one can connect to my server

    Have you edited your Mission/server .pbos? and could you by any chance have made an error or typoed somewhere in the process? If so, possibly try reinstalling your server files (they must have a button to wipe everything, lol) to make sure you have the default unedited server/mission .pbos. If your server is still broke after that, your best bet is to notify your server host about it. B)
