Hey everyone! While playing earlier today I realized that the PU scope for the mosin nagant and SKS is missing a critical feature, the ability to change view to under the scope. I'm sure some of you would have noticed how high the PU scope sits on the rifle, this is a design feature which allows the soldier to look under the scope and down the iron sights if necessary, and in relatively close quarters this would be the ideal thing to do, I don't know about you guys, but I find targets harder to hit when they're huge and their movements are exaggerated by zoom and close range. Anyway, the general idea is to allow us to look under the PU scope rather than have to take it off and store it every time we feel it's a hindrance rather than a help. Thoughts? I think it would be a nice milsim feature and also really make the PU scope feel less awkward.

I agree with a bunch of your ideas, except this. If you want a good gun/ammo magazines etc, you should be forced to go west, not just deathmatch in whatever major city.

side chat was utter shit, never again. Also I hope death notifications stay fucked off aswell, they let you know that you killed a target, rather than maybe put you in a situation where you aren't sure, no thankyou. Walkie talkies will be the new sidechat, and I see no problem with that. They require items, new batteries (which run out), and can be turned off, all we need now for them to replace sidechat is a text chat option for the walkies. (and for them to work) -
I would use the ingame map if it came in one piece, rather than dicking around looking for 4.

I just reckon as the 101 and the 74m are nearly identical they should have one or the other. There's just little variety in having two of the exact same models achieving almost identical performance and then calling them two guns. + if the change the 101 to 74, they can bring in another 5.56 ar, maybe a steyr aug. Not that the 101 is preventing them from bringing in new 5.56 ARs, just it would feel more balanced. if it's gonna be 5.56 they better be calling it the zastava m85. I don't see why 5.56 would be more appropriate than 7.62x39 though. -

We already have the 101, m4 in 5.56 and the akm, sks, cz527 in 7.62x39, I think it's about time we put in a new caliber. make the 101 a 74 in 5.45, and then put the aks74u in. and then add in any of the many western weapons which fire 5.56. if not, I reckon the zastava m92 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zastava_M92) or zastava m85 would be the best choice. -

Civi's are way more fun to wear than all the mil crap, and let's face it, currently the right colors in civi's works just as well for camo. Also running low gear is great, you feel lean, clean and mean, kind of like that post enema feeling.

Hopefully this is implemented, as I much prefer the flat colors of the old bandanas over the crazy patterns and bright colors of the new ones.

It's an interesting point. Provided servers do not have the option to turn off weather effects, I don't think players will bother, as they could be playing for 10 minutes on one server, log off to avoid rain and then get rained on some more on the next server.

Before we all start rabbling about apparent "NEW THUNDERDOME HAX OMG", hicks just tweeted that it's a glitch with the server apparently, and not hackers.

What do you mean by problems or reversals? If the list is decided and they're not in the mood to change it, then pissing in the wind is exactly what we'd be doing. I'd kind of like to see the list, but then also, we miss out on the surprize factor that way. edit - actually I've already got a critique, m1 garand was confirmed (apparently) what the fuck? -

That's crap, I drove in first person in the mod, even on 3rd person servers,it's fun as fuck. edit - Hopefully with SA we can expect a bit better utility in first person vehicles, such as leaning and fully functioning mirrors to allow better visibility than just drivers seat headrest.

Ugh another one of these threads. If development falls behind a milestone, then that's because it's how development works. They can't make things go faster than they're going. As far as bugs go, that's what a fucking alpha is for, you push all your content into the game, and then you fix the bugs during beta, because the devs are changing shit every patch, and new bugs appear as a result of that. The next patch is looking very promising, with proper medical and weather starting to take affect aswell as persistent items and tents starting to work across all servers, so unless you idiots are whinging about lack of cars and zombie desync, then I fail to see what anyone means by lack of progress. Rocket is no genius coder, neither is he project team leader of the year, but he did have a fucking great idea, and I think it's only fair that he stays as long as he feels he is needed, to ensure that his idea is executed in exactly the way he intended, because that's what we all bought into.
