I imagine once some of the survival mechanics are in that reducing the spawns is gonna happen. Along with some other basic balancing, no point in having survival mechanics if people don't live long enough to experience them. just as long as magazines start to vary in the amount of ammo they spawn with, from zero - up to full capacity, I'm happy.

At the moment they aren't focusing on balancing loot spawning. Use the magnum, doesn't need magazines, once you find 1 or 2 fnx mags then go looking for that gun.

The jump through walls and hiding under hangers shit is fixed in the new patch IIRC. As far as ban waves, who knows, battleye will probably get around to it as some point soon, you'll know once you see threads complaining about being banned. -
Did Rocket confirm the 1 shot to the heart? I too would like at least pistols to need a headshot, melee weapons not so much, as I have difficulty even hitting them at all indoors, and louder assault weapons maybe. Either their going to have to do something along those lines, or they're going to have to put a lot of zombies in the game, otherwise they won't be a challenge at all.

they can half the spawnrate of the mosin, so then it doesn't make a difference. At the moment we have one of each "class" of weapon, adding more isn't going to hurt anyone.

You have no evidence your killer was hopping, and you were basically doing the same thing - logging into an empty server because you assume it's going to have more loot. You aren't going to like hearing this, but get over it.

There is nothing wrong with the PU scope from that position, it should definitely be within the 300m range. Lol can the carebears get over the fact he's sniping? he's clearly alright with it, as you should be. Electro is a known sniper nest, if you're willing to go there because you feel it's the only place on the map, that's your problem. I don't really think it's that good of a sniper position unless you are already aware that there are targets in that particular firehouse. You have a pretty good view of sniper hill, so that's a plus, but are blind to the entire city, where many targets will go to first. I'd say find a LRS, and move a bit west so you have a good view of the city, if you hear shots coming from sniper hill you can easily respond by moving east to the position in your picture. -
I don't think you know how to play at all. It certainly sounds pretty sad and boring, maybe you should try another game.

Well that's not entirely true, or fair. Australians and New Zealanders make up a large portion of the community, as can be seen from the unfiltered pictures there are still plenty of people playing the mod or it's derivatives. Secondly, if you live in an area that's lucky enough to have a large variety of servers, that's great for you, but it doesn't help me, or indeed any of the people in this thread (or any of the other similar threads) who have actively stated they had the same problem. It's like saying, "wall glitching isn't a priority", because so far, you haven't been shot through a wall. Making your concerns known is the only way to get something done about them, I don't know if the majority of players enjoy that playstyle, or rather if they're just joining the server that actually has people in it, and neither do you. Because, as you can see, it doesn't look like there was ever any choice in the matter, at least in my area. -

I'm glad you asked, while the SA has been out for over three months, I would still call that picture an accurate representation of an Australian server search with a 210 ping filter from about June last year, and as you can see, EVERY server is some variation on extra vehicles/spawn with guns. That being said, what filter set would you use? say, lower the ping filter obviously, I'm not going to play with 200 ping, and of course hide Epoch, breaking point (mods in general) - then we end up with - basically the same thing, but there must be SOME vanilla public hive servers with people in them, right? RIGHT? -

B-B-Bulllllshit. Private hives do entirely solve a few issues such as serverhopping and ghosting. But then bring a whole load of new ones, such as shitty admins, and stupid mods which make the game more casual. If the devs set up their own private hives that would be amazing, but while private hive administration is in the hands of players it nearly always comes down to 1000 vehicles and donor loadouts. Because private hives need those things to survive. so no, private hives the way the mod had them was complete shit. People don't donate without incentives, and so admins have to offer them. This is the reply I received when I asked for a more vanilla private hive on the news that the server I was playing on was getting replaced: "Well you got to think about it, this is a private hive for a reason, which is because of the extra building, clan bases, kits, and all that other good stuff that vanilla servers don't provide, there is or was nothing vanilla about #1 at all, even when #1 was popular. If you really want a vanilla Epoch server or in your case Vanilla DayZ, go play the public hive DayZ server, 100% Vanilla." This statement was made at a time when you were lucky if there was one aussie public hive server up with 20 people in it. So while I understand exactly why a lot of private hives are the way they are, it's still fucking shit. -

"If you're engaged in a fire fight and can't kill your opponent within 15 seconds, you don't deserve the kill." That's a strange thing to say, and entirely untrue, obviously you either haven't been in many firefights or aren't very good at staying alive in a firefight. Most firefights I've been in with geared/skilled players take over 10 minutes to get a result, at least.

Possibly something to consider for hardcore mode once more of the survival features are added and just staying alive is hard. At the moment though, I don't want to run around a server looking for players because I'm unaware that it is in fact, empty.
