You're forgetting that you still have to get to the point where you can regear from your tent properly, and that'll take ages. Also you'll wanna put your tent in a hard to reach place, as otherwise someone else will just take all your shit, and steal your car. So when you die it'll be a long walk to the sticks to pick up more stuff. tents aren't magic gearboxes, you actually have to put the gear in them, so if you just go and gear from your tent and die 3 times in a row, you aren't gonna have any gear left. I don't really understand what you're talking about. The good thing about tents is that they aren't safe. They're in the open world, and anyone can access them, how would they cause people to value their time less? they still had to put the effort in, in the first place.

Why not just improve the current models for female characters? vanity items are fine i guess, but they're not gonna be in a while. as the guy said above me, no to heels, they'd only be useful in the cities, you'd be fucked once you got off the pavement.

iirc they're thinking of having player created structures underground. If so that's pretty good, as it doesn't destroy the landscape with wanky playerbases. I'd rather nothing grand as far as above ground playerbases go, leave that to tents. I saw quite a few eyesores in epoch, and while I'm sure there are a large amount of people who want to show off their masterpiece, underground allows people to extend their base as far as they'd like, without disturbing the environment of chernarus. Also from what I gathered from epoch, having above ground player bases puts an extra load on the server, because they become part of the server environment. So underground looks like the go. -
yeah hopefully, either that or in the end there is going to be such a variety of weapons and calibres that finding the right combination of ammo and weapon is gonna be a bitch. but i think more likely - alpha.

Hey guys, i dunno if this has been thought over already by the devs. So we're getting the hunting knife in the next patch (I think), and we already have the kitchen knife. I don't know for sure, but it seems like the plan is for the hunting knife is going to be the only item capable of gutting an animal. Now I haven't gutted an animal myself before, but wouldn't a kitchen knife be able to do the job aswell? albeit less efficiently. So would it make sense for the kitchen knife to be for the hunting knife, what the screwdriver is for the can opener? meaning, kitchen knife can gut an animal, but you lose some of the food you would have gotten. It might be in the works anyway, but I thought I'd suggest it just in case, at the moment things like screwdrivers, kitchen knives etc are pointless once you've got an axe. also I'll end on: facial bandanas! inb4 facial bananas.

that's a good idea, the knives condition could also affect chance to infect, with alcohol tincture and rag being used as a cleaning rag. lol might be too much, but the condition of the item you're using should definitely have an effect.

i was a little dissapointed when the brim of the cowboy hat was curved up. Always a sign that the hat is saying something rather than doing something - ie protecting you from the sun. this is the hat i was thinking of, a fucking mans hat.

Cosmetic things like beards, scars. aaaaaand i guess minor skills like firemaking, woodcutting, if you reaaalllyyy need them, but eh. I liked the way it was in the mod, where it was so deep and confusing you had to research how to do things yourself and then you got better as a player, rather than as a character. That way the population becomes realistic in that you have people with knowledge of how to do things from the get go, like doctors, hunters, soldiers. The new players are like the majority of the population would be, civilians whose minds are melting from watching the world collapse.

schools on man, hell in a handbasket usually fills up in the afternoons and on weekends, but during the middle of a weekday, regular is just more popular all round. -
the reward for surviving is not dying. i mean, really.... once cars and item storage are implemented, there will be more drive to survive, as you can store gear to make your next life easier.

as the guy said above, the HC char would be a good choice. although i suggest not worrying about it, once you're all geared, you'll end up banditing, fucking with/"helping" freshspawns, and eventually dying anyway. At least if one of you needs to get geared, you can go to interesting places while you're gearing, and it gives your entire group something to do.

OP's excessive exaggeration takes away from his point, which i feel is valid. If i'm engaging a target at distance, i'm happy to sit and bide my time, so not seeing my target for 30 seconds -well it's not uncommon. On a side note, it's only just been implemented on stable servers. Give it a chance, it's a work in progress, this is step one, not "combat logging solved". i reckon a 10 second logout time with a cancel button, and THEN your character sits for 30 seconds on the servers. -

zombies either need to be numerous enough, or respawn often enough to overwhelm a relatively well kitted 2 man team. no loot from zombies bodies. What do you mean by full respawns or partial respawns? do you mean, in a town if all the zombies are eliminated, after a certain amount of time all of the zombies respawn at once? -

Firefights sometimes take more than 30 minutes to finish up, and then you wanna take your time approaching in case someone is camping the body. So GTR that's a terrible idea.
