I enjoy roleplaying as a girl, this is fine for me. Just embrace the attention.

One word: Stealth.

Everytime i see a zombie from a distance, i purposely crouch and Spliter Cell my way around the houses or whatever objects i can use to shield my player. The SA zombies seem to just chase you regardless, although if you have a weapon such as an axe it's not a problem, but when you're unarmed there's nothing you can really do. In the mod you could just hide in a tree or run into a building, but on this there's no escape. It can become frustrating herding 2 or 3 zombies around a town whilst trying to loot. Anyone have some helpful tips for me?

Lowest settings on everything and you should be fine, i'm running a similar setup to yourself. You might get low fps in cities though, by low i mean like 5fps.

Considering the SA has only been out for like 5 minutes and there's already a new city and loads of new areas to find loot, not to mention the fact every building is open for exploration, i think they've done a pretty spectacular job so far. Would be interesting to see a passenger airport, not just military, would be great for loot spawns, not to mention banditry.

Zombies be OP!

There's still a rather large community on the mod, alongside plenty of other expansion mods. It depends really, if you see yourself playing DayZ in a few years, i suggest buying the SA, if you're just looking to experience the game for a few months and forget about it, stick with the mod.

I think the back story is that of the survivor. Although i agree with your point, it would be cool to see what the community could conjure up in-regards to a story.

I don't understand these guys, they clearly have some maturity issues. If someone kills you, they kill you, fair and square. You get over it and move on, you learn from it and you become a better player. There's been plenty of times i've spent 6 hours gearing up with all the best stuff, then i get a bullshit death, it's part of DayZ.

I enjoyed that video. Definitely worth a subscription, hopefully you'll be releasing more content in the future.

Small world! Don't worry about leaving me haha, i wasn't expecting you guys to hold my hand. To be honest it was my own fault, i was careless and took my time looting, i should've just got the stuff and went, lessons were learnt that day. I love US3480, it's the only server i play, i'm not interested in all these servers that give you loads of gear and supplies at the start, pretty much kills the whole point of DayZ for me. Plus there's always 30+ people on the server, keeps you on edge.

Looking for some players to team up with on the mod (Not SA) I'm from the UK, any country is welcome. My gameplay is based around stealth, prefer not to do any banditry if possible.

I'm having the same issue, the normal Arma without the mod plays sliky smooth. When i play the mod, i have really bad fps, around 10fps max. be it in the wilderness or in a city, it's almost unplayable.
