Is ARMA 2 worth buying for Dayz?

I myself, bought Arma II before I found out about DayZ. I found out about DayZ the moment after I bought Arma II. I bought Arma II specifically to play Arma II Operation Arrowhead and it's British, Czech Republic, etc. expansions. However I only played a total of a hour off Arma II. Only because I enjoyed DayZ so much more. It's worth buying Arma II for DayZ. I bought Arma II rather than Arma III because my system specs are way too low for Arma III and I can play Arma II at the bare minimal settings.

    Brand new player

I played DayZ+ over DayZ and you start with a bandaid, a pistol with two clips, a hatchet, a knife, matches, and you can build your own barricade to survive and stuff. However It's rather extremely empty. You can refer to this thread of mine. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/147142-not-enough-users-on-dayz-whats-similar-in-hardness-but-more-peepz/

Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

I'm using a laptop, Core i5 2.40ghz, Nvidia 310M, and 4gb ram. I run it okay with the literal minimal settings. However I experience a .3 second delay on everything I do, and when I type to chat, I can see it quite slow to respond due to lag but it is playable so I am happy about that.
  4. Hi, I bought ARMA II just a few days ago to play mainly for ARMA military gameplay, however I stumbled upon DayZ mod and loved it and hated it. I didn't like it because there were too much PVP since it was too easy to survive. Now I heard about DayZ+ and it was my dreams came true, however there aren't any players that play it. There are only like 2-4 on at most on one server while the rest are empty. Are there any other DayZ variants that have just as much difficulty where it causes people to want to team up with each other rather than kill each other? Thanks, Dave.
