I am glad you responded to what I said. Because I am in the same boat as you. You put it perfectly, how I would like the game to be. Especially what you said about the weapons. I said what I said because in general, if you mention any kind of leveling the idea gets shot down before it has taken off. I would not want leveling like in the usual RPG (Str, Int..). What I see is, there are a certain things everyone is capable of doing without training (gather berries and water for example), and other things which some might know how to do but others no (like repair a car). So how does one learn? Practice. So anyways, I gtg.. We just have to wait and see, at least for DayZ SA. Maybe DayZ 2 will be different. We shall see..

In a game such as this, there is no reason to make men and women different. The only way this would work is if character creation was very detailed and there was a skill system which you level up. Men and women naturally, through their own choices, decide what they are good at. Some girls might choose to be better at cooking, or repairing cars etc... Men might choose to fix clothing... But this kind of system is not for DayZ it seems. So, men and women should just be the same, other then looks of course (I do not mean men should be huge beasts and women with huge boobs etc..).

I personally only want guns like pistols which police and military officers would use (I know they would be different models..), hunting rifles, police shotguns and some weapons like bows etc.. which people would learn how to make for hunting game. That is it.. I want to see more player battles with a knife against a hammer etc.. my 2 cents on this

Would be great to deal with wounds this way. Break a leg, splint it until it is healed (the amount of time to heal would have to be unrealistic, like 2 game days or something to heal a broken leg maybe..).. until then you walk / run with a limp. Break an arm, again ya splint it until healed.. meanwhile you cannot hold a weapon the same (more difficult to aim guns, swinging an axe is less accurate etc..). And getting shot should have something also.. no immediate fix via bandage. About the killing yourself and respawning.. that should be dealt with so it is not an option. Edit: Again, underground stuffs.. and I for one would be totally happy with that being instanced (but not just for that player.. whoever goes into an instance, should see anyone else who is currently in that instance)

Would be interesting to have lightning which can actually strike players, very very small chance of course... unless you are standing on top of a hill holding a metal rod above your head. What I want most, is 4 seasons... but I doubt that will be done. Too much to make it snow in winter and actually cover the ground etc.. sigh..

An editor would be much appreciated. Would be nice to at least, host a game and if ya choose, put a password up and be the only one on the server, or allow a couple friends to join ya.

Somewhat off topic, I really hope the underground instances thing is done. It will open up so many options for the devs, not just player bases. Yes it would be better if they did not have to be instances... but I would prefer instances then no underground stuffs at all... (sewers, big culverts, different types of tunnels, caves etc..) So yeah, if building bases on the map is too much of a problem for performance.. instance bases also!!

Have a look at how foundations are dealt with in Rust. Just auto-fills wherever there would be a gap underneath.

zombies using smell to help them hunt makes zombies more dangerous. if ya stick with zombies just being infected humans and they are limited to that, the game will be boring and there will be little point in having zombies. so some compromise must be made. some unrealistic stuffs added. this is one of those and i would like to see it added.

I just doubt that zombies would be picky about what they eat.. so anything that has some kind of food smell.. may attract them. Another thing for zombies to do other than wander aimlessly or just stand there. Thus digging in garbage has a risk, aside from other players. -

Garbage trucks, garbage cans at peeps houses, and dumpsters. You would for sure be digging through this stuff in a zombie apocalypse. Not sure about edible food items because they would have to be sealed cans, and who throws those away? But some nasty rotten stuffs, sure! Also, should be able to find other things like, tarps with holes in them, newspapers to start fires with, crappy clothing, the things BigMike mentioned, lots of stuff could be found in the garbage. I imagine you would have to fight a zombie(s) to get to the garbage... I am sure the smell would attract them and they would be digging around in their themselves. You would also find rats and possibly a bear (if bears are added..), maybe a raccoon? And if ya can drive a garbage truck.. then the device in the back which squishes the garbage to make room for more, it should work. What a way to die eh? What about a street cleaner? That been brought up before? Edit: A garbage might be a place to stash stuff also. -

I just want to mention something I have noticed throughout this thread. People head north to avoid this kind of hill camper etc.. In SA, I should hope the loot is #1 more rare and #2 more evenly dispersed across the map. Thus there will be no sticking to the north of the map and avoiding certain places. Players should have reasons to visit every location on the map, not just once, but repeatedly. This will make being a hill camper very difficult. Everyone heading north is just making it easier for the camper.. This does not deal with all kos, but at least part of it. ps - guilt is not the way to go to fix such an issue... it will never work. -

Tis a good idea for sure. But I hope there will be servers with a quicker day and night cycle. I have a family and am lucky to game for an hour or two a night, so yeah it would be nice to have at least one day and night cycle per gaming session. Instead of waiting several RL days to see night time, or day time in game. Either way, it would not stop me from playing.

Not sure if it has been brought up.. but a pitch fork. If farms are added.. you would find pitch forks. I agree.. no baseball bat. Yes on the slingshot! ball bearings or small rocks found on the beach? (although tis not a melee weapon :P) oh, and an industrial sized wrench. -

No aircraft carrier. Unless it is a wreckage that can be explored (but keep loot to a minimum..). Maybe some coast guard boats? -
I would like to see unarmed combat in SA (I believe they confirmed it is being added, not 100% sure), regardless if it can be used on zombies. You can still knock out a player if ya get the chance. Could use it to settle disputes over loot or something... fist fight! winner gets za lootz.
