    No, this is not an anti-bandit thread, it is a thread regarding the devolution of the bandits due to the sudden growth of the community which brought many trigger happy PVP assholes. Being a bandit used to be one of the many paths to take for survival. Killing a survivor because you don't want the risk of him killing yourself first, killing to get supplies, killing for that awesome gear that guy was carrying...But now most bandits are killing just for fun or no reason whatsoever. This new "killing for the lulz bandits" are just posers, they are not true bandits as I defined them. For me this is not what it was meant to be like. It is not even a matter of what mechanisms are added to the game regarding PVP, it is a matter of a specific mentality that a large percentage of the arriving players carry with them, deciding to play for the selfish benefit and amusement of themselves rather than playing for the the greater good of the DayZ experience. Two quick examples that while very specific do tell the general story of the bandit behavior before and after the arriving of the new players.   2. Big clans just clean whole servers of vehicles and take them out of bounds. It's ridiculous. The map needs to be limited.

    What the hell is that supposed to mean? Totally uncalled for. And yes, if you want just PvP you better off playing other ARMA modes or games built specifically for that.

  9. Date/Time: Just now What happened: I spawned in my previous saved location but instead of spawning on the ground I spawned few meters in the air and fell to my death. Where you were: In the woods close to Topolka Dam What you were doing: Nothing, I had just spawned. *Current installed version: DayZ 1.7.1.5 / ARMA 2 CO BETA 93965 *Server(s) you were on: UK5 *Your system specs: 2600K, HD 6850, 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3, 120GB Corsair Force GT SSD. Not relevant to my bug however. *Timeline of events before/after error: Started the game, connected to the server, this happened, I died.

    Just right now on EU40 near Elektro powerplant (they are still there) a group of 2 guys with some decent gear aggroed some zombies. I hear the shots and I look at them from a distance. And then, bam! They disappear as well as the zombies they aggroed but no message of disconnecting players appeared. Oh well I didn't care. Kept playing and then guess what, the same guys appear again but once again being idiots they aggroed tons of zombies. Yup, they vanished again as well as the zombies. Maybe some major desync I thought? I went to check. As soon as I get there they are back but only one this time and the body of his teammate is by his side. I assume one of them died in the previous fight before being able to pussy out and his buddy is protecting his corpse (decent gear like I said before). At this time I am right next to him and ask using in-game voice via direct chat if he is ok. As soon as he hears me he disappears. I check the area and no one else is there and I proceed to move out and out of nowhere he is back in-game where he was and kills me. What is this faggotry? Idiots quitting to lobby every time they see someone or get into a fight? Ridiculous. Anything we can do about them? After all I do not have their nicknames since I cannot see who they are unless they chat and a video recording wouldn't show their names either, only their locations and their doings.

    Rocket, if possible, do a full check on the code. List the features that are in-game already and make sure there is no extra unnecessary lines of code and that everything is coded correctly. This of course if you didn't do that already.

This has been answered before in the thread and rocket mentions it in the first post! [FIXED] Melee items causing magazine glitching and eventual server death (fixed)

  20. Good post OP. I just wished the patches would be released with a bit more testing since some of them bring some annoying bugs, usually lag or FPS related.
