I would have worded it differently myself but he just said what a lot of us are thinking. Also, I can dig zombies opening doors but most of the time they walk right through them. I'm not even going to rehash the hitting through walls bug that we all experience. That said: Hey I'm not saying that there's not a whole lot of stuff bugging me. I'm so paranoid I never stand close to walls. It's just not gamebreaking to me. Having said that it's interesting with how much mechanics we live in DayZ that hopefully in the future we won't have to deal with. Today I watched a zombie from a higher position spotting me and what happens then, as I'm sure all of us know, can only be described with portal meets crack-whore with a serious anger problem. The amount of zig-zag-teleport that goes on would be considered laughable buggy if it wasn't for the fact that you can deal with the situation. In comparison to how I deal with zombies today from the start and with how I dealt with them in the past I would have to say that I don't think I enjoy it as much as before. It's the sum of all that makes or breaks it. But there needs to be patience. We are all having an "interesting time" and cut this mod a looot of slack because I think we all do believe in its potential. It's evolving. I think we all, including rocket, believe that the functional interaction between players, zombies and loot is the one integral part of this mod. Which means DayZ is moving forward either way.

I would agree. Best immersion is with 3rd=off. But it also creeps me the fuck out to be honest. I had multiple moments where I went like "OMFGHOWTHEFUCKDIDYOUENDUPHERE" and nearly had a heart attack. Is there something like "Field of View" in arma where I can up what I see a bit?

In all fairness. First reply pretty much pointed to the right direction. But what is a community supposed to do here? No dont go? We love you? It's his decision. He feels entitled to open up a new thread and didn't even bother searching for the right places. It's a mod that is designed to generate frustration. Some people just can't handle it.

Problem with gamers these days is that they want everything NOW. Like code is being manifested by a simple idea in your head. If you don't have the patience to endure this alpha, by all means, wait and go do something else. It's really not that hard. Have some common decency for god sake. For most of you people this is a phase anyway. You will leave this game as soon as you find something else. If it's no fun, stop playing it. This isn't your mod. It's time you accept this. You are just testing the alpha version. Nothing will change that. You are just a spoiled gamer that thinks everything falls out of trees and that everyone is accountable for his every action to you. But this is not the case. GROW UP. Rocket answering all these questions, reading all these countless posts, having what seems like a few hours of sleep every day. This is a man of true passion for his project. Isn't that a great thing? Do you know how detached Devs normally are from direct feedback? Even from their project within the team? I know. Get a grip on reality people. 90% of you would have locked this board or never looked at it again after the first few shitstorms if it was your baby. CALM DOWN

What's wrong with it? Maybe it's rockets vision? He's been the one that implemented it because he wanted to try it. People act so out of line, like it's the end of the word. It's a mod. It's his mod. Deal with it. Nothing wrong with letting it marinade a bit and tweak it until it fits.

I wish moderators would simply warn & ban more. If they need more people, get more people.
