Ah you must love the internet. Nomatter how much time the creator invests into building, fixing and interacting with the community, there always comes one guy who want's to tell everyone what is wrong with it. Suddenly he transforms into a marketing, coding and design genius, because he clearly knows what he's talking about. Because he played games man. He figured shit out. And if it was his project he would know exactly how to fix it. He knows how fun works. A true gaming connoisseur people. Step back people. The next game needs his expert analysis and he can't be bothered with patience!

What do you think about non-hive servers?

Even though I'm running an official one I'm pro non-hive server. All the way baby. Yeah sure more than half a million people testing (lol) this mod is not enough for such a small team of developers! And the non-hive server ruin everything! -_- Way to go drama. -

Nope there are already unlinked custom hive servers and with a bit of google you'll find a how-to easily. It takes very little time to setup if you have all the tools ready. The only thing you're signing up to is server to server persistance. My view on it, as a server owner who plays on his own server exclusively this isn't really a plus or a noteworthy feature as I would rather see people don't bring stuff from other servers. Have my server build it's own little community. I would rather have a signup process and a user bound password for players to be allowed to play on my server but for now I play by the rules because I respect rockets creation. -

Best thing is you announce server restart 15 minutes in advance and post a countdown reminder every 5 minutes and a last message right before you restart and still people go "You shouldn't just restart a server, the countdown is too short" Yeah when you join right before I restart <_< But I take it with a grain of salt. So far I've got way more positive feedback than negative :) -
My server is about 1 1/2 week old. You're invited to come and play ^^

Shees I domt know if I'm just lucky. But I never meet people that nstantky shoot me. Ive got shot twice and both times I didnt see them. On the contrary we either completely ignore us or we chat a bit and say farewell. And this happens alot on my server.

Don't forget sometimes it's not our choice. My hoster gives me the option to update. Meaning there's a delay in getting the files and then its me updating it, which takes time for me to notice it that there's an update. But give it a bit of time. Sooner or later we're back on track with the amount of up to date servers.

The hotfix version is for the loading issue so you should go with that one. You can wait it out. New patches always bring new problems. People on my server want to play the new stuff, even if it is a risk. Been hanging out on teamspeak with quite a lot of people and most of them were really chill about me updating. When 1.7.2 got released and people were stuck joining we all chatted in the group chat. Was nice meeting guys you normally don't see telling me they would always come to this server :) In the end a bugged patch brought us a bit closer together ^_^

I personally prefer the "we're all the same at first and only what we have and how we behave makes us who we are in the game"-system. So no support from me either for your idea.

Will try that today Levias. Hopefully it helps sudden2k stuff wont despawn. It isn't saved on your server, it's saved at the dayz hive. As long as you save vehicles and tents ingame ofcourse. -

You're not allowed to mod the mod. This is how Rocket wants it. You will have to deal with the current starting setup.
