221100? As it can't be Nov 22nd 2000, Can it be 22:11:00 of today?!?! #speculationisalifestyle

I asked two questions yesterday and didn't get any answer. Probably because noone knows the answer but I'll try my chance one last time. 1) Does anyone know if radio stations/channels that will broadcast music will be in Alpha release? 2) Does anyone know if they fixed the night time lighting system that Dean mentioned in a previous interviews as "terrible" or something close to that. I haven't found anything regarding this anywhere but that interview.
-
If anyone, ANYONE, ever says "Too many bugs, released too early." I will [insert your own scenario here].
-
Does any of the closed alpha testers or anyone at all know if the radio stations (or channels that will broadcast music in game) will be implemented in Alpha or is this something they will implement later? This may sound a silly question since aforementioned feature may be a kind of luxury, considering there will be a very limited weaponry in Alpha release. Just wondering.

This is what google translate says aboutthat tweet. "Damn, Rocket such epic screenshots from the game yesterday and threw just took off. Holding back as I can. I have already goosebumps ..."

In one of the interviews Dean said that the current night time (referring the lightning system in the night) is really bad and they'd try to find a way to improve this. I would like to know the current status of this. It has never been mentioned after that interview in anywhere that I can find. Did they really improve it or is this something they plan to do after alpha release or even in beta stage?

Yesterday there were two updates on http://steamdb.info/app/221100/#section_history. Check out the increase of the numbers. If we are to assume that the bigger the amount is increased, the bigger the update is; can we say that the alpha is getting closer? Hmm? #conspiracytheories

Unless they are all at the office at this hour preparing for the release of Alpha!!! #conspiracytheory

DayZ Developer Blog 7th September 2013

The current player restraining system has a vital flaw which makes the system pretty much obsolete. The people who are not seeing this may be because everyone is aproaching the system from the view of someone who has restraining items. Imagine a player versus player scenario where you are outnumbered/outgunned/outgeared. Your opponent wants to restrain you so that they can rob your stuff undamaged. If you surrender, the chances of you are getting robbed and losing the most valuable things in your inventory are pretty high. Ofcourse the handcuffs will not be used for this purpose only, at least in a couple of months when alpha is released. There are people who roleplay and simply want to detain other players while not giving any harm to them, just to protect themselves. But let's be honest here. That kind of attitude is really rare. However, if you try to escape or try to fight back even if you would most probably die, you will have your opponent consume some ammunition and while doing so, you will get your items on you damaged so that your opponent may not use everything he loots from your body. Surrender scenario: You lose most/all of the things on you and also it is not guaranteed that you live afterwards. Your opponent may even kill you soon after he robs your undamaged items. Fight back/attempt to escape scenario: You may lose all of the things on you but you will do a kind of harm to your opponent, ammunition and loot wise. The solution to this problem can be found once the developers try to approach to this from someone's point of view who is about to get robbed. Maybe by making longer hours/days of surviving more rewarding. Such reward(s) that you may beg for your life and accept to get handcuffed and get robbed. -

I do not have much knowledge on the servers and how they work. Can someone explain to me this?: They are/have been working on so hard to prevent any kind of hacking/cheating in Day Z Stand Alone. But can't people or atleast the server owner(s) can still hack or cheat in private servers? The answer may be "No they cannot." But I still need a reassurance on this. Thanks. -
The title speaks of itself. Basically your character will be able to lie down on the ground, motionless. I do not know how the current dead body of a player looks like but when you feign death, your character should look like a dead player body. There has to be differences between prone stance, feign death and a dead body. You may not be able to move in this stance. But you may look around to a certain extent. However, when and if you try to look around, your character's head will move and this may be clearly noticed by another player. There may be two options for feign death, if not a fixed one. 1) facedown 2) on one's back Entering and exiting Feign Death stance may take 2 seconds. So you will not be able to stand up instantly. You are not able to loot while feign death. Zombies can still attack you while feign death. Any aggressive/passive animals to hunt or tame(?) will consider you as a dead body and will act accordingly. You can only equip one-handed guns while feign death. When you equip your gun, your Feign Death ends and other players can see the gun in your hand, that is if they are still looking at you or not dead. You may feign death during combat, let's say after taking a bullet in the knee. But accepting the consequences since feign death is not a guaranteed way to escape, but maybe a last trick to deceive your enemy. Your feign death may be discovered by another player within loot range. I do not know if this has been suggested before but I find it quite interesting and I believe this will not be that much of a problem coding wise. This will also bring so much depths in plotting, decieving other players, surviving. Feign death is one of the most important survival action any person can do in battlefield or in a harsh zombie infested post-apocalyptic world. So it would be really great to have it in such a game with so many realistic survival elements. Feel free to add or change any of the principles of the feign death written above to balance it and to avoid it's exploitation.
