    Private Shard Pricing is Outrageous

DayZ was born as a mod to ARMA, yes. But it has developed into a standalone version, or an independent game. It is time to offer a "unified experience", where rules cannot differ too much between servers, or shouldn`t be permitted. And, while modding can add to a game, this game shouldn`t allow anything other than cosmetic and stop with the wild customizations. BI should allow only customizable "survival settings" and only downwards for private servers, with no other option past security tweaks. Probably I`m wishful thinking, so, this is my point of view, anyway, as to why modding shouldn`t be permitted past a certain point. Now, let`s agree to disagree and let it go.

Was that found on a 5000+ spawn rate server? And yes, I do believe that we all should be playing the same game, where rules are strictly enforced by the devs and private servers have VERY few options to go astray. And no spawn rate, anywhere, should be higher or "better" than what the devs intended.

Not every game has modding as a requirement - Counter Strike, which is only modding skins, Battlefield, Call of Duty, etc etc etc. So, while this game started as a mod, there is no reason to stay this way. I would very much like Bohemia to never allow modding and for private hives, a maximum of LOWER spawns and no custom loot rules than the public. SO, in effect, ANY server will never be able to have higher loot that whatever the master is set by the devs themselves. Yes, I strongly believe this game should never go away from it`s original vision - which is "vanilla" - the minimum level of survivability, if you want; we can make it harder than that and we should be able to, but never easier, and for that we don`t need modding past a lower number in loot spawns, or disable some altogether.

    Weird Mouse movement DayZ standalone.

Is it too late to ask for a "raw input", or "Windows direct input" option into the game? Or Arma 3 mouse movement, at least?

    Weird Mouse movement DayZ standalone.

I have what it looks to be negative X-axis acceleration. I am using a SteelSeries Sensei RAW on 1260 CPI (sensitivity) as a first step and 810 as a second step (switch button on mouse for on the fly changes), with a pooling rate of 500 hz. If I move the mouse REALLY slowly, it would turn more or less decently. The faster I move it on the X-axis, the slower it turns. Snapping the mouse for a fast 180 will just move my aim by VERY little. ____________________ I do understand this is Alpha, but it would be nice to have 1:1 possibilities, specially from a FPS type of game. Question: Is it working, or a -nomouseaccel setting for launch options exists?

  7. This gave me an idea - weapon maintenance kits - craftable with dunno, screwdriver + oil + metal rod. Weapons would start jamming more and more if fired, unless serviced. And I did use the search button: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/133338-i-would-like-to-see-gun-maintenance-added-to-dayz/#entry1296830 . If craftable weapon maintenance kits is not a new idea, please delete at will...
