    Meele system similar to MnB?

    Blocking in Chivalry is both time and place oriented. You can not hold your block indefinetly (like in MnB) It hold only for a short time. There is also a cooldown before you can block again after your block dropped. So, if you block too early because you got feinted/delayed attacked or whatever you will get hit. You must also look at the tip of the enemy´s weapon in order to block, you can not simply right click. OT Oh, the shields. In MnB they make you swing so damn slower and die to stone hammer overhead spam. OR other fast weapon spams. Shields are crap. /OT Now, the combat system from Chivalry has no point in the SA, due to the lag/low fps or whatever. The combat system from MnB could work, but there ought to be advanced techniques, otherwise with just 4 attacks and 4 blocks, if two good players meet, the fight would last an eternity. Just as you will never hit a good MnB player with just simple strikes. Probably over-design anyway, and at this stage of development, pointless.

    I have 800 hours on MnB multi, and it is a good system, and it would be probably a good idea to implement something in this fashion, though maybe it would be a bit of an over-design. You might want to prevent feintspamming, maybe some kind of a stamina system ? Nothing more frustrating then a spear feintspammer lol. Chivalry also has an interesting melee combat, tho that is probably very difficult to bring into this game.
  3. No helicopters at all. Not even unarmed ones, unless first person is forced and stuff does not deteriorate over distance while in the heli. What pissed me off the most were jerks in helicopters that could spot you hunderds of meters away because from the air all the trees and bushes do not provide any form of concealment

    Should I invest my time in 1st Person Servers?

    1st person, either in the mod or the SA, makes me feel sick after like 10 minutes of playing.

    I had this one too, I could just kill my clone and loot his stuff (was ruined tho)
  7. I just ran into a guy at Balota prison that somehow managed to bug into the building. As you enter the prison, there is a door in front of you, but that door cant be opened. Somehow he managed to get past that and into the texture or whatever lies behind that door. He could shoot at people coming through the doorway into the prison. I assume this is a bug, as I sometimes too clipped / lagged through house or concrete walls.

    m4 is really inaccurate.

    It is not just the M4... I shot my long range scope Mosin at a guy some 400 meters away. I was aiming slightly to the right as most of the time my bullets seem to sway left. The shot landed like 5 meters to the left of him.... Ofc he instantly disconnected thereafter. I took a couple of more hots at the same place, and it was just hitting all around the place. There is currently no way to get an accurate first shot. If you miss (which you will, because the bullets fly totally randomly), the person just disconnects

    Item durability affecting accuracy ?

    Okay, thanks for the heads up. I would do more testing at different ranges but I dont want to eat through all of my ammo.
  10. Has anyone got around to some testing regarding this ? I have a Mosin with a damaged bipod and a worn long range scope, and when I fire at around 400 meters, my bullets sway to the left. Is this caused by the damaged items, a damaged gun, wind, or do all weapons inheretely have certain spread, making them inaccurate at certain ranges ? A Mosin should be able to get consistently accurate shots at around 500-600 meters.

  12. Hello, I am looking for a sort of "vanilla" DayZ Cherno server, not these 1000 vehicles, 200 choppers, barracks in every village, autorepair, 300+ crashsites servers. I have been searching around for a while but cant really find anything suitable. My browser is just filled with these CoD style deathmatch servers. I am thinking about a medium pop server ( 30-40 ), preferably with a whitelist requirement. I would be grateful for any suggestion
