I would love to have a proper discussion , I compromised way back I agreed going prone and having 3rdp view wasn't working and look where it got the discussion you now want everything but the loading screen in 1st person , we are not only not on the same page we are not even in the same book , you (the 1stp camp) seem to want nothing less than the total removal of 3rdp view and you will not be reasoned with . cheers p.s. I'd actually like to be talking about other stuff like why bullits only ever hit the first target in line and stuff like that but im stuck here trying to get a fair outcome for myself and others that like 3rdp view play style .

Trying being the operative word , he also says they don't want to adversely effect 3rdp players because they are the majority . cheers

Sorry but I just cant let this one go by , so now you want 3rd person servers to be forced into 1st person view when people are prone , crouched , standing still , in buildings . in cars . in helicopters ? lol what the hell is left the loading screen ? but no you don't want to get rid of 3rdp view just change it a little . I left out in combat and with guns raised sorry my bad . cheers

Great read thankyou for the link , I don't think its fair to judge the Everest thing without having been there there are so many factors we don't know about , I do know if a Sherpa told me to move along theres no hope I would do so , those guys know what their about . I did find it interesting Mr Hall never considered joining the other people on the survival trip rather than raiding them . cheers

And what brought the devs to the conclusion there is a problem ? was it their own thoughts or pressure from parts of the community not representing the full story ? I guess we just don't know unless Mr Hall enlightens us . You personal viewpoint is important even thought you are a blue name :P /joke , they have acknowledged a problem is there but is the problem as big as they think or has it been blown out of all proportion by some people in the 1st person camp , sometimes by fixing a small problem you creat a bigger one , and when the problem can be overted easily in the first place . Don't fix what is not broken for the vast majority of players . I think , I may be wrong but I think DayZ will be about survival in a post zombie apocalypse world with all the health , hunger , fighting and adventure that entails , realism is important in the mix as well as pvp combat but neither will be the be all end all of Dayz . these are only my hopes , weather the game is experienced in 1st person or 3rd person should be a players choice as it is now in the mod . cheers

This thread is called "first V third person discussion" yes ? I am talking about the two play styles 1st V 3rd and weather either need "fixing" at all . Others and yourself have jumped straight past the topic at hand , decided 3rd person needs fixing as opposed to fixing 1st person and are trying to point this Thread in a predetermined direction . All im saying is we have options , alternatives , to butchering a play style the vast majorite like . Its like talking about building a house and oh we'll talk about the foundations later . cheers

Great you are the first person from the 3rd person view camp that has asked for change , that's 1 , how many people like playing in 3rd person view as it stands now ? about 80 to 90 % of players . cheers

You said it yourself "neither party is going to agree" there will be servers for the 2 play styles why not let the 2 groups play as they like , I keep harping on this point because nobody has told me why It cant be so , all I get is "its an exploite" its not an exploite to those that like 3rd person view and they are not here complaining , the vast silent majority of players . The complaints are coming from a few 1st person view fanatics that cant get servers or just think their way is the only way . As you say Mr Hall will make the final call and rightly so but I will continue to voice my opinion until you or someone gives me a valid reason why we cant play as we like given the options are already there and everybody would be happy , no further dev work required . cheers

Me thinks you exaggerate a bit :) but I agree there are some crazy weird servers out there but they are private servers and they will still be there in standalone I expect , but to each their own Im not going to tell people how to play the game and I expect the same courtesy . Why change 3rd person view if you don't play that style ? cheers

I was reading a post today buy Mr Hall and he said he is designing a game that he would like to play , and he likes 3rd person view I guess he will design what he wants and this Thread is pointless , but I still think is good to try and get our voices heard , even the 1st Person camp :P cheers

Once again we come to the real point 3rd person view is not broken , this post is about not being able to get servers for your play style so you want to penalize 3rd Person players to force them to play your way . do you really think that's fair ? cheers

I can only speak for myself but all my experiences with many choices comes from plain standard DayZ I don't normally play the other mods , I have looked at some though .

Mate a good post no name calling and you made your points well , good stuff , unfortunately I totally disagree with everything you said and I suspect I would not be the only one , point 1 is true , point 2 would cripple sales of the game hugely , points 3 4 and 5 are your opinion and I respect that but I don't agree . cheers
