Was never a fan of the M14, although it was quite good at ambushing unsuspecting cars... but for that the MK Mod 0 was even better. My personal favorite for daytime gunfights was probably the SA-58V ACOG.. It had Single, Burst, and Full auto select fire, an ACOG scope, and did AKM levels of damage (4500 blood?).. So 1-3 shot kill on anyone. I could pick off DMR snipers from 500+ meters with that baby, and it even had backup iron sights for close quarters encounters. The only downfall of the weapon was that you couldn't use NVG's with the scope, which is why I usually carried a M16A3 ACOG instead. Then you have bullets that hit invisible walls on hills, and it makes it really difficult to have a serious gunfight.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I've been recording vids lately and looking back at how some of the shots land just doesn't make sense.

Ah okay.. In that case, yes.. All weapons would put shots on target assuming you were aiming properly.

Then you weren't playing the same game I was playing.... The M16A3 ACOG would outperform the Lee Enfield in almost every situation.

On another note, you should also have a backup plan.. ..what if you missed those 3 SKS shots? What if you hit 2 and missed one, but he was still alive? What if some armed friends of his arrived on scene? Yeah.. Always have a backup plan.

80% may have been a bit of an exaggeration. Suffice it to say, when we get into a firefight, Hoff usually loses his pants, and most of the memorable moments are made when he's three sheets to the wind.

Here's the real problem: People spamming the forums with the same bullshit without first reading all the other material covering the same topics that has been posted 100 times before. Anything interesting, informative, or funny, requires someone to dig through pages and pages of tripe before finally finding a gem.

Maybe you should learn to read. My post said: "KOS /= Bad player" Which means: KOS DOES NOT EQUAL BAD PLAYER. Notice the /? PS: I could have just as easily posted a video of a guy punching 2 fully geared Elektro campers to death.. That would have conveyed the same point, I suppose.

You achieved DayZ Enlightenment ... You realized the fun in this game is not just shooting people and you can do that in any game. It's about shooting the right people.

If it's any consolation, most KOS kiddies fucking suck at the game and get their asses handed to them by good players. People have had it backwards this whole time. KOS /= Bad player Good player = Does not get KOS'd.

"I and my clan"? Where did you learn English? If this is any indication of your intelligence, it's no wonder you're having problems separating this game from reality... YOU BOUGHT THE GAME IN ALPHA. Nobody made you pay money. Nobody is forcing you to play. You do what you do because you enjoy doing it and you're rationalizing it by blaming Dean and Bohemia and how they've handled development so far. You're clearly an entitled kid. Grow up.

Kossuth and I are dispatched to Balota to help a newcomer who was shot unconscious after his DayZ client crashed while he was on top of the ATC Tower. My mission quickly turns from a call to rescue to an act of revenge when we find the person responsible for shooting the newcomer is still in the area.

I already know the merits of 1st person.. I'm just saying DayZ doesn't do it very well. If, however, they fixed a couple of minor issues and made all servers 1st person only, I wouldn't protest.

I can play most FPS games without a problem.. In fact, I've been playing FPS games since the Doom and Quake days. DayZ however has some very large perspective issues which make it ... "uncomfortable".. Doesn't make me sick, but it definitely doesn't feel "good".. The small doorways/hallways/houses are extremely difficult to maneuver in, in 1st person. If it's dark outside and you have to use a flashlight/headlamp, that even makes it worse. That said, I would have no problem playing on 1st person server.. But most of my friends prefer 3rd person, and the community I am in runs a 3PP server, so that's why I usually play on normal hive.

Zelenogorsk is my favorite town. It also has a Pub, and a LOT of row houses, and some high value residential loot. There's also some near-by industrials to the west and north west of town. There are 15 garages total, at least 2 gas stations (one south, one north), and there's often some pretty good PVP action centered around the military area.

I've been alive for almost 2 months, and have taken the lives of well over 15 GEARED players. I spend my time running between Elektro, Berezino, Balota, Kamenka, Zelenogorsk, Veresnik, NWAF, NEAF...I've been all over the map. Not shot a single fresh spawn yet. Get on my level. (More to the point: If you die it's your own fault.)

I use a combination of FRAPS and ShadowPlay, and I edit with Windows Movie Maker.
