What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Etherimp replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Here's the current hacking status of DayZ in a nutshell: Teleports + ESP Inf Ammo mags Teleports + ESP Basically: This shit need to be taken care of an ASAP. -
You're being stupid by insulting him based on your inability to understand the nuance of his English. "Fix" 1.to repair; mend. 2. to put in order or in good condition; adjust or arrrange: She fixed her hair in a bun. 3. to make fast, firm, or stable. The Silencer was not working the way silencers are intended to work, therefor it was broken. It never worked. It was always broken. It needs to be fixed. It was removed until it will be fixed to work the way it was intended.

He never said they did, dummy.. English probably isn't your first language, but you know enough to call someone a dummy so you should know enough to not to draw false conclusions.

If I recall correctly, you could not load Non-SD ammo in an SD weapon. However, you could load Stanag SD in an M4, fire that M4, and while it sounded unsuppressed, it would be silent to zombies (and zombies only).
-
Never seen a sporter mag at a Heli crash.. Seen them other places though. Can't recall off the top of my head where exactly, but didn't seem out of place to me.
-
Blaze, Shotguns, and Mosins all spawn in Barracks now.
-
FNX and FNX mags are at Heli crashes.

All gunshot sounds attract zombies within the same 100m range, and if you kill a zombie with a gunshot, one will spawn nearby.. If it spawns within 100 meters of you, it will automatically aggro onto you. If you are in wide open areas with no way to break LOS/Pathing, then the zombie will attack you. So as far as Amphibia's go, they're only good for reducing sound that players hear, not zombies. On topic: Heli crash sites, and they're rare as fuck.

Green Mountain Sanctuary. My first visit. My last.
Etherimp replied to VIDEOSAUR (DayZ)'s topic in Gallery
That server is quite literally swarming with them.. I'll send you a PM with a short video displaying it, if you don't mind. (I don't want to derail/add videos to your thread). -

That server is always full of fucking hackers. Been there twice, first time went to Green Mountain and got in a fire-fight with a squad of guys who had duped gear and infinite ammo M4's. A friend and I killed 4 out of 6 of them. The second time I went there, I was killed by a teleporting asshole kind of like the guy who abducted you. Basically, never go to that server ever. -
Every time you kill a player, you reset that players gear and they return to the coast. If they're tough, they'll keep playing and gear back up, and they will likely be less likely to interact with the next player they see. Every time you interact positively with another player, you enrich not only their experience of the game, but your own as well, and you restore just a little bit of their faith back in humanity.

This will probably be implemented later on. It was in the mod and is in most ARMA games which involve base building/object placement.
-
Is this hacks, or desync? You decide..
-
Totally man.. Purchasing a 3rd party client from a hack site in order to teleport around the map with infinite ammo and kill players by defying the mechanics of the game is TOTALLY like speaking to your friends through a 3rd party voice-comms program, and is totally justified when facing "campers", which is a play-style choice built into the game. Seriously, you have it all figured out.. Now stuff your head in an oven.
-
Infinite ammo Blaze actually doesn't sound too bad... 2 shots at a time of the highest caliber round available in the game.
-
Yeah, I have about 600 hours logged and ASIDE from Infinite Ammo mags, I've only ever personally died to 2 hackers.. This is the 2nd.
-
I laughed hard at that video of you asking the guy how much he paid from his moms credit card.
-
My thoughts exactly... If he was not a hacker, he would have been better off shooting me from the side, out of my FOV.. Pretty convinced this was a teleport hack.

To people who think kiling bambis is wrong check this out

Then kill them in 30 minutes. If you're a tough guy, you shouldn't be afraid of facing armed opponents. -

Have any of you guys found a helicopter crash in stable?
Etherimp replied to trimpampano's topic in General Discussion
Can confirm there are heli crashes on stable. -
Which leads me to another tip: Never hide anything along the edge of debug.

I have a feeling you're gonna be hard pressed to get people who will be specific about this.... but I'll give some pointers: 1. Away from any spawn points (IE - No where near the north east) 2. Away from any high traffic areas (IE - No where near NWAF, Balota, Veresnik, etc) 3. Away from any paths that lead from 1 point of interest to another.. (IE - Stary Sobor, Devils Castle, etc..) 4. Place so it cannot be seen from a distance, surrounded by either trees or other objects.. IE - A wall, pile of logs, etc. Placing around loot spawns may seem dangerous, but certain towns are virtually never visited, assuming you follow the rules above placing behind an out of the way barn or house is not necessarily a bad idea. Also, there are certain clumps of trees (like 6 trees all in a circle), that you could place inbetween.. There's also certain clearings which do not appear on the map (if viewed from map, they look like forested areas), but they provide a clear space and are generally surrounded quite well. Try to place your tent in a valley if possible.. Hills/valleys can be natural visual barriers which make your camp more difficult to spot.

There's a difference between the Dot in 3rd person and the Dot in 1st person.. 1st person is much closer to an accurate representation of where your shots "could" go, but it's still off by a little bit.. At close/medium range it doesn't matter much as long as you're aiming at center mass. I've got plenty of kills this way, as it's more "agile" than aiming down sight.. But yes, ADS is the most accurate, where 3rd person hip firing is the least accurate. 1st person hip firing is somewhere inbetween.
-
Here's something nobody has mentioned about this that makes it really suck: If you remove your LRS/PU Scope and try to ADS, you have no crosshair... Have fun with that. It's kind of a waste, the gun w/ Black/Green paint on it is better camo'd anyway.
