Mods mods mods. What things could these be. Good or bad. Controversial it seems. Mods can be abusive. This makes Stridey sad. Mods can be lovely and do things rocket hadn't . This can mean vehicles before bohemia agrees. It can mean servers that are absolutely terrible and areant like dayz! Sorry for the above terrible rhyme. Mods are contestable. They can make a game better or destroy it completely. I mean epoch brought load to the dayz vanilla in my opinion. And... It will always be hard to make a game a goood flavour for everyone. So leave vanilla nice and plain, then use some sauce to chaneg the flavour. Some want more horror in dayz. Fine, develop a mod for that. On a side note. All clients mods are most likely advantageous and are not favorable in many peoples eyes.

Sorry if I sounded sour. But there are so many posts, fixing KOS, and I kinda expected people to read the roadmap as most people have.im as excited as you are but it seems a bit odd to suggest to developers what they are already doing

Why don't you spend some time reading. Most of this is on rockets to do list. Zombies are being added more and more with better ai Animals are in the works Base building is planned. Check rockets roadmap. And guess what.... This games a Alpha! It's just been released. KOS will always be a problem. Nobody has fixed it yet. It's not your suggestions are bad. It's like you have paid for a full game and have suggestions to make it better. The problem is you haven't paid for the full game. You have paid for an alpha. 2 years ago a new strain of virus that manipulate olfactory nerve endings appeared. Scientists were intrigued and grow some in a lab. In further studies they discovered it manipulated the Front Cortex, Amygdala and the Ventromedial Hypothalamus. These parts of the brain were ravaged and caused the following effects: Loss of rational action Loss of long term memory Insatiable hunger Ignorance of pain Future research saw that it could move up the neurons from any part of the body to its target area, military scientists were intrigued and multiple dark national agencies broke into the labs and stole the culture. Amount these symptoms other bodily functions begin to deteriate eventually leading to the death of an infected subject. This was not wanted by the generals so the scientists set to work mutating and adapting the virus. Finally they had the virus, subjects had the ability to run for miles on end as they ignored pain signals from the muscles. It was not perfect, vision and other senses were weakened but this was acceptable. 2 months later governments dismissed the projects as being expensive and too dangerous to continue, unfortunately a large company brought out a large division of the governments research departments and moved the remnants of the dark project to their cheneraus based labs. They continued research and began to collect people of the street. Their plan to sell these subjects as living weapons. 5 months later, a year from the current day, a human rights activist Invaded the compound and released the subjects unknowing of the effect. Within 3 weeks cheneraus was in ruin. After that Europe fell. Within 3 months from the release only, some island territories remained uninfected. Some people had a natural genetic switch, these peoples bodies could destroy the virus on infection. You are one of these selected few. This is your story. This is DayZ. I based some of this on fact. Your olfactory nerves do lead do those areas of the brain and could, theoretically, be used as an entry route. Those parts of the brain are responsible for the listed symptoms.

Why must it be undead to move around with only 1 limb. A virus could essentially do anything to your nerual connections.

Well. Dean suggested they are infected with a virus. This is technically initially fan-nonfiction. As it's based on factual studies, not on an actual virus. Don't worry. I'm thinking of writing a Dayz thriller style book. The charecter would discover a selection of hints to this story.

Simply put, somewhere along the lines of Minecon. A panel to ask questions to the developers of the mod and the standalone and a few stations offering various mods for dayz ( day zero, origins). There would be adequate aming machine access and a mega server so that people attending can play the game with other attendees. You could go and watch you tubers playing live in various booths. Dayz merchandise etc would also be sold. Maybe excel in London for the first year. A groovy after party somewhere would be nice. At least, that's what we want to do. Sadly everyone is broke and we cant afford that. The new ticket price stands at roughly about 5 GBP for the free tin of beans you receive microwaved for your pleasure. What's the rest of your computer like?

Brilliant idea with a cellular mega map. I can imagine servers with 1000 players on it or even more then that. The problem is finding some crazy enough to host something that intensive. Ideally, people could choose to host a group of cells (a flesh) . Imagine the in depth levels of trading, camel trails across regions. You could get stuck in a desert and need water, someone will sell it to you. Main problem. Dayz standalone is already mostly coded. To use this system a complete recode would be needed, so this is feasible if a dayz 2 was to be produced. Production sounds cool as well, maybe metel rich regions that you could mine and ship out. Loved it all. If only it wasn't a crazy dream!

I don't agree. They are not the living dead. A pathology lab would be more suited for the dayz zombie.
