I've had a lot of fun on this server. Thanks to the great community and hard work put in by Machoman, relentlessly trolling through logs to ban hackers. The private hive has massively reduced hackers,I am yet to see one myself on the new hive. Always good banter on teamspeak as well, i'll jump on once I get home from work. Keep up the good work!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. 99.999999999999% of people shoot on sight, with no regards to which skin you have on.

I agree with the OP. I just hope that if Rocket does decide to go ahead with it, he waits for the next generation of consoles. Consoles that would have the necessary hardware to run the full version of Dayz, not some dumbed down crap made for a PS3. Either way, he stated it will be written for the PC first. I think the finished product is going to be epic, if the Alpha is anything to by :D. I will be buying it regardless.

Hi all, Apologies if this has already been asked... A friend and I both found cammo clothing after the latest patch 1.7.2.4. Everytime my friend joins the server now, all of his gear has disappeared, alice pack too if he has one (reverts back to small coyote pack). Is this a known issue with the cammo gear in the latest patch?? Just curious, I drop all my gear in my tent just to be safe.

Hit up the hospital in Cherny, it has all the supplies a medic will ever need. Plus apartment blocks beside it for all other essentials!

Be prepared die and lose all your gear every time you spawn, and being shot by losers pretending to be friendly won't get to you. Every encounter I have with players I make contact with them. I tell them i'm friendly and will not shoot them, unless they fire first. 9/10 times they panic and hold the trigger, or wait for me to lower my gun then open up. I usually take those guys down with me, as I'm waiting for it to happen. The other 1/10 time, the survivors are genuine enough. And we swap stories of how its nice to meet the odd friendly person instead of an all shooting match every time someone see's you, we then travel together, trade supplies, help each other out and part ways. The 1/10 chance is worth it IMO. Yea most of the time you will die (try take them with you), but that time you do make contact with friendlies is much more satisfying than just dropping everyone you see. That's just how I like to play the game though.

Sometimes it's better to roam solo, you can move quickly. Take your time and be cautious approaching towns. Plan a route and always have an escape clause in the event of zombies or bandits. http://dayzdb.com/map - I find this map quite useful.

Nice idea, like many others it will be manipulated by Bandits. The list may help prevent this as it grows. 3 Friends and I play regularly, we can provide aid and security when required. We play most evenings & weekends in GMT. Mostly in UK servers, what time zone are you guys in?

Hey all, Here's how 2 friends(Soapy, D-Etnie) and I survived a chopper attack. A few friends and I play on the same server regularly, where we have a base camp established. We are friendly and will not shoot other survivors unless fired upon. Last night 3 of us went on a looting mission for some guns, we were doing quite well and nabbed some nice gear. Heading back to base, I decided to bring us by a watering hole to replenish supplies. As we approached we seen a tent, scouted it and continued (empty). As we started moving my friend shouts, Chopper! I hear a Chopper! This was quite exciting as we had never seen one being used in Dayz. The chopper approached us from the south and started to bank west away from us. The right gunner must have caught a glimpse of us and opened fire immediately, we fell back into the trees for cover. The chopper banked round to the right coming right for us, tracers still landing beside us. I trained my SAW on the cockpit and held the trigger until A huge ball of flames landed 20metres from us. I would like to claim this but I think they clipped a tree as they came in for a run at us, lol. As we moved in to loot the site, a few occupants were still alive talking (lying with broken bones). Adrenaline rushing we screamed war cries at them as we finished them off. Phone pic taken so I could IM friends - Apologies for the quality! Anyway, 4 guys or more fell out of the chopper, all of which loaded to the eyeballs with very nice gear. As listed below. NVG's x4 Range finder x4 SA80 x1 - not sure on the Arma name for it. M4A1 SD x1 AS50 x2 Coyote pack x3 GPS x3 All the ammo we could ever need. Missed a few other things, took us 2 runs back to our camp to get all the gear. Thanks for attacking us bandits, we will enjoy your gear!

Yea, we found that weird too. Although, we do think they work together as a team. Each one of them had NVG's GPS and range finders, very nice guns, I doubt they picked all that up on one run...

I have also experienced this. Also my friends inventory is wiped everytime he joins a server (with cammo gear on). I am storing all my gear in tents just to be safe.

To whom ever owns this vehicle. Apologies if you had to work hard to get this car going. A friend and I, were looting the barracks at the NWAF around 9pm GMT last night. Hearing constant gunfire from the control tower direction we decided to circle around the north side of the perimeter fence, to try and make it to the other barracks. We made it to the west gate of the airfield and I spotted a Gaz (Grey) in the trees beside us, I covered my friend as he checked it out. Fully functioning with half a tank of fuel! So we took her for a spin... We ended up doing a full lap of the map, stopping for fuel as and when we could. We went back to the NWAF and into the south barracks. As we drove into the main gates of the barracks there were two survivors already in there. We must of gave them a scare as they ran and hid in the rooms when they seen us. Thanks for not shooting! Tried to get you guys on direct chat, but no reply (didn't hang around). We reversed out and circled the runway for a while looting as we went. We had a lot of fun with this vehicle, we didn't kill any other players, as we try to avoid conflicts and not shoot on sight. The car is safe, but out of fuel. Again, Apologies if it took the owner of this vehicle hours to get it running.

Yea poor picture lol, I just picked up the phone as I was sending the pic to friends over IM in all the excitement. Yea probably was us, didn't see any other vehicles on our travels. You weren't the guys in the barracks?
