Sorreh. I just dont find a place for magic in a zombie survival game. Maybe if game reality was different (a curse upon humanity or sth), then... I probably wouldnt be playing the game. But idea fresh as air on 10 kilometers.

Maybe to cities, but I live on a countryside, so wouldnt really have an ocasion to grab a gun. Moving to the city just to take a gun would be a suicide. Also I dont think I could operate the gun properly. Of course if I didnt get infected at the beginning...

I think mods would be ok, but here goes the problem with SA and Private Hives, as you couldnt put it in the public for obvious reasons. So maybe in the further stages of development.

Sry, but if there was an apocalypse in my country, I would probably run around with axe, as guns are totally restricted. So you know, Its not Murrica probably most of the survivors wouldn even have a gun in their hands before.

Jams - cool idea. Making ammo - not really. First, I dont think that random people know how to do that (I dont). Secondly - imagine whole the goddamn ammo crap thats falling onto the ground being held up. I see LAGGGG. Binz for fresh idea though (at least fresh for me )

I was on a private hive, driving military offroad. Then I saw an SUV driving on me we drove our ways honking horns. I laughed my ass off first. Second later stopped the car with intension to kill them for their loot. They also stopped and got out. One of them M 107, second one had Sa 58. I had a DMR. So one started shooting. Bullets hitting car and cracking over my head. Rang a few bullets into his body as he tried to run clpse and shoot my ass off. The other one was trying to flank me. Knocked him out, and left bleeding to be eaten by zeds(which didnt happen as he started bandaging himself, so I fed him with lead). Another story, is when I met two dudes on ATC in Balota. Armed with a deadly weapon of massive destruction (hatchet), charged on them with a warrior screaming through direct chat. One was armed with handgun, another with a hatchet. Knowing no fear, I cracked first man skull with a deadly blow. On berserkers rage, didnt even fewl the shots landing on my body. Stroke the other one in the arm, as he was running away in panic. I standed there, on the top floor,with blood pourinf out of my neck, looking down at the forest he ran into. Felt so good then.

If I was beung robbed (I never was) Id take my chances to maybe run away or at least make the dude waste some ammo catching me, or better, if I had a gun, I wouldnt give it away but give it a try and shoot the dude. Robbing is utopia as you gain no reward for that (at least I cant see any)

I had once such a huge desync a dude unloaded a whole mag with hk 416(some of them missed as he was running left and right while shooting) I shot enfield and missed (got scared as I didnt see him) the second shot put him down.( I know it smells fishy but this is dayz)

I cant decide which one to choose. I like third person, because I get more fps, plus its not making me dizzy after running for a while. On the other hand, I like first person for the feeling it provides. And more realistic aswell. So I wont vote (I dont want to hurt any of the persons feelings :p).

And... and watch out for whole loads of stuff. Never trust quad bikes. You will learn all in time. But sure much more fun to play with somebody.

I tell you why there is so much western crap. Its because in Arma 2, there is an American campaign going there. Not sure if the Chernarussians are being pacified by NATO or defended by them, but thats how things are. Though I agree about the SVD. Sry but I wont be making another thread just to ask short question, but what do you say about two areas: russian controlled and NATO controlled? Of course before outbreak so guns would vary on both areas
