Eeem...no. Why would levels exist in Dayz? It misses the idea of developers and most players. Its supposed to be authentic, spawning with better gear because of level isnt authentic. There were many ideas like this proposed already.

Only first of your points has sense. Second one was talked about already (use search function). Third one is obvious to be implemented. This game is still alpha so shotguns will be added later on.

That is sad. What is even the purpose of this game if you server hop for everything you have? You take all the thrill out about finding nice gear and then being scared to lose it. You make it like: I died, ok. Now I server hop for 5 mins to get it back. You wont even discover map and places, because reason you go somewhere in Dayz is loot. Loot is essential for this game and if you take the essence out by server hopping, you are left with nothing more but wasteland on Arma 2.5 engine with couple of guns and no vehicles (yet). And I agree with elf cakes. In mod times, idiots were quite easy to repair or they just stayed quiet. But now there was a flood which makes them unmanagable. It becomes pretty tiring to read same shit over and over again.

I disagree. You hit the head and run around them and they are done in seconds without even hitting you. Its not even hard to kill them with your bare hands if you get it right. Zombies are just fine as they are now. A threat you have to know how to deal with properly. If the bugs are taken off them, they will be just ok.

So far I met friendlies mostly. Most of the hostile situations were caused by me. Maybe I just didnt let the bad guys hurt me without a fight (my superpowers surely let me see that I attacked bad people only). Coast was always killfest, so no surprise most friendlies are up north.

It is sandbox game, why would it be illegal? And I dont think that with the current player base you could do it. Its sad true, that people would rather get them killed or run away or simply disconnect. I wouldnt do that because RP is one of the coolest thing you can do in this game in my opinion.

Glitches and bugs will be fixed someday. Zombie running speed is just fine. You should have played the mod to see what a fast zombie means. And what is wrong with bleeding after a hit or two? This isnt supposed to be easy or it would become "shoot shit fest like DayZ mod was".

Im afraid these changes are pointless. Why would you spawn with a melee weapon? This game is supposed to be hard, not a fairy tale. And its cool when zombies are a threat at last.

Insane? Insane shooting with a high velocity projectile from less than 100 meters. Jeeeeeez, I could snipe better with iron sights on enfield, from greater range, back in the mod. Plus, shooting poor people with nothing. I never thought these forums would go down to animal level so quickly after releasing SA.

Alex chill out a bit. This is not a forum where you can behave call people kids etc. Does it matter if you have minecraft, gay unicorns or other stuff on your avatar? BelMardok is it wrong that he compiled clips? Quite obvious that when you kill people in the area you need to change server to find new ones. In my opinion there was far too much pointless killing. You could have found some cuffs and play with people. You could feed them rotten food or dirty water, leave them nothing and release them. And the stupid moments when you see a guy and shoot him on sight :facepalm: Standalone is giving you a choice not to kill on sight and you dont use it. We seen it all in the mod already, so its not particularly entertaining to watch. Im hoping to see better vids from you though.

Sounds fun, maybe it would serve as anti hill sniping mechanism, so you have to go to the bushes to take a dump and that would be a moment for you to spot him. Or you walk by where he shat and the message appears:"You smell shit", at this moment you know this is a camping place.

As orlok stated, it's all physics. Bullets travel faster than sound and thats why you don't hear a gun shot from a distance. As I seen from the Standalone videos, they actually made the muzzle flash. Bullets SD variants should only have lesser muzzle velocity and thus, decreased range. Damage should stay the same, at least at the reasonable range. Supressor makes the gun more silent and changes the overall sound. Apart from the muzzle flash, Arma did everything right ( well, sounds are a bit crappy too).
