Loads of us can't launch from steam atm because of this error. Simply launch _runA2CO.cmd from your OA folder, seems to remember that dayz was the last mod loaded so works fine.

Launching _runA2CO.cmd from OA folder also works I've discovered. Stupid steam!

So I logged onto steam this morning and went to run DayZ, only for steam to tell me that it needed to update the game files to a new more efficient format. Now I am unable to launch OA: Combined Ops (note that I can launch Arma 2 and I can launch OA without combined ops) I have tried the following Restarted PC. Deleted everything from steam folder except steam.exe and \SteamApps to let it rebuild my library. Downloaded BEClient.dll and BEServer.dll from BattleEye website and put them in A2OA\Expansion\BattleEye folder. Deleted and re-installed OA. Verified integrity of local game cache several times, (Always says 1 file failed verification and will be downloaded.) Right clicked OA and chosen to re-install BE with and without the launch parameters in the options. (Sometimes I get an error about missing string!!!!) Made sure no files in steam directory were read only. Tried adding steam.exe and ArmA2OA.exe to not get checked by DEP, but it says they cannot be added to exceptions and must be checked by DEP. If anyone can shed any light or suggest anything else I'd be very grateful as I'm at my wits end with it :-(

People refer to zombies as zed's often, I've never heard them referred to as zee's! So that settle's that one! Personally when I SMS mates to get on I simply put: "Zombies!"

where have you seen this? not to my knowledge There was some talk a while back about getting in the gunners seat and pressing something which was all bollocks, but it was at the time when loot wasn't spawning at all at choppers so people just trollin i guess

loot is on the floor around them, and there is sometimes a weapon directlly underneath the chopper, you can check by crawling under the tail in 3rd person and looking towards the nose, if there is something there you have to get as close to the doors as possible and look right inside while crouched and keep changing your position, can take a minute but you will get the pickup option eventually.

DE4 just got hacked, everyone dead then server went offline, lost my L85A2, gutted! :( Don't mind losing my gear in a fair fight, this sucks! scratch that, logged into another server and respawned where i died with my gear. ALIVE I tell ya!!!!! :D

I've had about 130 hours worth of game play out of DayZ in 3 weeks for my £25 purchase of ARMAII and I'm still not even close to bored, this is better value for money than any game I can remember, if DayZ was released tomorrow at AAA price point on a new engine, I'd be first in line to buy it!
