    I'd carry an SKS if i had more ammo for it. The Mosin is'nt always the only gun to carry.
    SKS is good for short/medium range confrontations. He could have killed us both if we both had Mosins and missed our first shots. (Which we might have, beeing like 10m away from him lol)

    I'm defending a friends gear and an armed guy is constantly approaching. When my friend turns up he decides to run off. We hunt him down. But the hunt is short lived when we realize he's not that good of a prey... Even apologized to him after killing him.

    I know right!
    I swear even the first two shots i fired (through the bush) hit. Hard to see due to the stream quality but on my screen at the time they were definitely hits.
    Then i definitely hit him, he switched gun near the end so im guessing i broke his mosin or at least his rounds.
    Didn't see him bleeding. Maybe he was just extremely lucky.

    Sucks he got away with our meat too :( lol

    Ha, yea thats because its a Twitch video, can't really edit so had to just end it..

    After that we searched for him for like 5-10 minutes, we even split up and scoured the entire area. Could not find him.
    Meat man got away. :(

    My friend and I spot two hostile players on the North-West Airfield.
    A naked guy sits on the roof spotting for his armed friend in a building opposite.
    We approach but Animal is shot. I manage to kill the armed guy inside the radar tower...

    TLDR:
    Kill armed guy
    His naked friend kills me and my friend

    Couldn't find an existing thread discussing this. But before 0.48 came along i could happily chop down zombies or even players.
    The axe would hit directly in front of you where the crosshair is but now, since 0.48 almost all melee weapons are complely fucked and hit nowhere near the crosshair and i often find myself swingling crazily at a zombie 2cm in front of me, only to end up getting all my cloths and gear ruined and end up bleeding before i can even finish him off.

    What's going on? Are devs making the game worse or trying to make it better?

    We're a small group of players and friends who after playing Chenrarus to death, decided to move over and check out the Panthera map.
    The map is pretty much 90% new to us and It's only been up a few days now.
    We've ironed out the glitches and problems we had with initially setting up an Epoch mod on Panthera map.
    So we now openly invite anyone wanting to explore this map with us.
    Normal Epoch rules apply! Be a bandit, be a hero, do what you like!

    SERVER NAME: ZOMBIEKILL

    SERVER IP: 178.33.135.113:2342

    Go to DayzCommander, go to your favorites and add this IP and PORT, click ADD FAVORITE and join!

     

    HOW TO JOIN AN EPOCH PANTHERA MAP?

    1. CHECK YOU HAVE PANTHERA AND EPOCH!

    Using DAYZCOMMANDER, firstly make sure you have both the PANTHERA mod and EPOCH mod installed by clicking 'INSTALL/UPDATE' and check those mods have the right version downloaded.

     

    2. ADD THE LAUNCH PARAMETERS!

    This time, click 'SETTINGS' in DAYZCOMMANDER, there is a box, titled 'ADDITIONAL LAUNCH PARAMETERS' where you can enter text.
    Paste these parameters into it!
    -mod=@DayZPanthera;@DayZ_Epoch

    This makes sure your game loads the Panthera map AND Epoch mod.

    Don't worry, you can still join Chernarus or other mods with these parameters entered. I keep them in all the time and i can still join normal, none Panthera/Epoch servers!

     

    3. NOW JOIN OUR SERVER!

    Why is the standalone so far behind the community build?
    So you've added clouds, cloths and few other small things. This is 8+ months of work?
    Maybe Rocket should spend less time doing motion capture and climbing mountains.

    I seriously hope the dayz mod is still available even when the dayz SA is released.
