Just go and try it out. I've been playing for 3 hours on stable today and loot now spawns nearly everywhere also in Cars and In/Around Train-Wagons -

*yawn* Butthurt anyone? Still nice to know thats something not only happening to me and my friends lately. I was starting to wonder what was going wrong. Yet I am happy to hear we've got more loot. Let the Lootwars begin. -

Dean confirmed on reddit thats how its going to be! Can't wait for next stable update or at least more experimental servers. More spawnpoints are welcome. Also I can't say much about cheaters, I haven't met anyone obviously cheating until now. At least I couldn't tell if that happend, I can life with that for now. But whats up with battleeyeclient updating over and over again? -

Actually I am right there with you, I can't see this improving the gameplay or at least not if it doesn't have any other impact then flying around the map shooting/picking up people. The only reason I would want to have those is by adding this as the endgame, a server fighting for the helicopter parts so they can fly away into a safezone. Add the same thing with a Boat/Train and some Point/Ranking system, there you go. -

Direct competitor? Don't make me laugh. For some people maybe. But overall? Not a chance. Likewise Project Zomboid/ 7 Days to die or whatever else there is. None of them are similar to each other. They have all different Graphics/Controls/Playstyles i am a huge fan of DayZ but I can't see myself playing rust oder 7days to die. No interest at all. -

Were you holding a 2 handed weapon while sprinting out of buildings? Hicks mentioned a bug with that, they cause rubberbanding AFAIK. -

Not entirely sure but I think what this means is ragdoll based animations for injured bodyparts like a broken/hurt leg or something. -

Considering he did this roadmap 2 days ago I would be suprised if they actually stick to it. Though I do hope they'll find more people for their team. I really like the Idea of rivers on the map. Still excited to see how this works out. Its gonna be an interesting year. And when it hits beta at least Witcher 3 will come out probably. -

Well but Dean wanted to make them more like "28 days later" afaik. Thats the point. But I seriously don't know why this is being discussed here because they already said the new animations caused them to sprint so fast. It was not intended and will be fixed. And talking about TWD. -

So I've played on an Experimental - non accelerated - regular server now for a while. What I observed: Bandwith doesn't exceed unreasonable amoutns anymore. Most players are around 100-300 Sprinting greater distances causes rubberbanding. Moving around slower doens't cause rubberbanding, but you will notice there are often times when you can't pick up items/interact with the world. (call it desync, lag or whatever either the server doesn't send you anything new, or the client can't connect to the server) So at least the high Bandwith/Sessionlost problem was fixed (on my end). But its still a good way to go before this can be called stable. -

Playing on experimental feels worse then on stable right now. Even though I haven't seen anybody with more then 600 Bandwith, there are more lags and also rubberbanding from seconds to minutes. At least no session lost. -

No offense taken. But "simply" putting up new servers or downgrading available ones. Its not simple or even if it is it takes time. Time better spent somewhere else. Thats all. See they would possibly have to set up a new hive only for the lower version. Thats unnecessary extra work. What for? So people can play this week/weekend ? Meh. Its an overkill if you ask me. -

Next time, think about something before posting & asking. Then I won't have to beat you with the stick that I'm hiding in my ass. Seriously don't you think they would have done that if it helped? It would only have confused everyone more then everything else. Also that way they can start collecting data on the new version/bugs -

NO That would take even more time from developing/fixing whats wrong on stable right now. Also they have no obligation to serve you playable versions. All they have to care about is making progress on developing the game. If that means pissing off thousands of players because they are impatient and can't wait for it to work again its the players fault. Seriously I thought by now everyone who is into Multiplayer gaming would know to have patience. That shit is always unreliable. No need to cry about it. -

Devfanboy lol You seem to be completly blind. How about you follow the Devtracker or their Reddit/twitter accounts? You don't want to? You want everything in the forum where it will be hated, cryed about and raged by some kids like you over and over and over again? No thanks. For people who are really interested in this game and try to help out its working out either way. Only lazy asses are crying for every information to be directly handed over to them on a silverplate. Now go ahead. Call me a fanboi just because I'm not a frigging lazy douchbag. -

It's probably not been worked on so far because the check for obstacles would have a great impact on the performance. Just imagine all Zeds on the Map having to check every millisecond for obstacles to not run through them. If you implement something thats not optimized it will have heavy impact on the overall performance of the server. So they probably didn't change anything yet on public releases in this regard. It doesn't mean they didn't work on it though. I am sorry, I think I misunderstood what you were talking about. Thought you meant Zombie behavior yet you were talking about player glitching? -

Dean already stated on twitter that a too large udp package is the culprit of those lags. He also said by tommorow morning gmt time they should now which package that is and be able to solve those problems. Dean Hall @rocket2guns The lag issue with 0.42 relates to size of UDP packets exceeding what can be handled. We are isolating which message causing this to fix it Dean Hall @rocket2guns @THE_OUTLAW_313 Tomorrow morning GMT we will know the message that is causing the UDP problems. Then we will fix that. @rocket2guns -

@HatkeineAhnung Please refrain from talking to me. Obviously you are absolute clueless. They said the current Zombie respawn mechanic is a first test. Most likely for all the whining, hating and bitching folks that demanded every 10th post MORE ZEDS. Here you go have more zeds! NOOOOOOOOOO WTF ARE YOU DOING DAYZ STAFF *whine again* *sigh* See it doesn't matter how they do something there will always be guys who think they could demand it to be different. Did they ever stated those respawn mechanics would be final? NO. It was said the final respawn mechanic should spawn them Outside of the town and let them move towards town based on the noise people create. ( this would be the best case ) Now stop crying for your own sake. Calling me a Fanboi Hahahaha I stopped being a fanboy of anyone/anything the day I got my Preordered Gothic 3. Never again shall anyone have my trust. I just know more stuff about Game Development or Design than crying kids on forums. Thats why I see things different then you. Also read my Signature. Stay off the Game if your mind can't handle the alpha phase. I apologize to all non German speakers for German trash talk in the last posts. Nothing of interest was mentioned. Only flaming from hatAhnung at me and backfire/sharp rebuke from other German speaking folks :) -

Tell me then. How does the Money they made have anything to do with the progress speed? Because, if its like infusing money into veins I only know that cures Aids (see South Park as a reference) I didn't know though it speeds up game development workflows, instantly and automatically. I thought with the money they made from early access they wanted to make sure they could finish this at all. Also if they made way more then enough they could go search for more people who would work on it. Of course those people have to be found , then contracts have to be set up and signed. Next thing those people have to move into an office, either the existing one in Praque or a new one somewhere else. Equipment has to be set up. Then they'll have to be schooled how to use the engine/internal structures. Before those new people will begin to make progress much time will have to pass. Well its 4 months ago now that ea has started, not considering Christmas and New Year Eve. So by now I guess the new guys started to work too. But as things go it's certainly complicated to get everyone together and to make sure nothing bad gets commited. So much regarding the money they made and how that influences the progress. Now lets see, so you STILL think it's your right to blame them, or demand something from them even THOUGH they warned you: DO NOT BUY OR PLAY THE GAME IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE PAIN -

Seem to bet Skill related killed about 20 zombies with a bat yesterday. Had a fight 1vs3 zeds with a bat in a house. Though they've hit once and made me loose blood I killed them all. Just run around and dont try to fight them head on unless you have an axe. You just have to get used where your swings land and do dmg. I know its tedious but absolutely doable. -

Too bad ;( Oh noez! And here everyone was yelling for a new stable patch! Its all the devs fault. Nothing to do with the pressure of the community! Mang this sucks Cya. (hopefully by the end of alpha) Actually I played the game for 2 Hours today on stable. And my problems were not that bad. I easily killed 2 people and had a gunfight with another group without those weird lags/desync. Or at least they were not as bad as those described here. So either you guys are exaggerating extremely or you have bad luck or you simply still don't get what an alpha is. Choose for yourself. And sorry I am not a native english speaker. Instable OMG *blushes and kills another Alien Queen* -

Well not tonight is my guess. You will have to wait at least 12 hours for more information on that matter. AFAIK the "hotfix" on experimental is again for data mining. Its probably more effective and less time consuming then having someone work on it all day long. Also everyone agreed to help in developing the game when we bought it, so why not make use of us :D Well unless it was a present from someone else. So you bought an Zombie-Apocalypse-Survival-Game and now you are mad because zombies are actually getting in your way. Also Human Interaction. Don't make me laugh. It's 90% shoot on sight. Or beeing backstabbed or getting handcuffed and force fed some weird stuff. Really Interesting human interaction. Btw.: Maybe you shouldn't shoot so much?! That would prevent it from being a Zombieshooter. I've played for 3 hours today and had no bigger problems with zeds. -

We do , you obviously don't know the difference. Or you're just an ignorant fool. There are several projects worked on simultaneously. Some things can get fixed easily and fast others are in dependency to other systems/features which have to be fixed/worked at/finished first. Also for everyone who has desync/lag/sessionlost problems see hicks twitter again: @hicks_206
