    It's probably not been worked on so far because the check for obstacles would have a great impact on the performance. Just imagine all Zeds on the Map having to check every millisecond for obstacles to not run through them. If you implement something thats not optimized it will have heavy impact on the overall performance of the server. So they probably didn't change anything yet on public releases in this regard. It doesn't mean they didn't work on it though. I am sorry, I think I misunderstood what you were talking about. Thought you meant Zombie behavior yet you were talking about player glitching?

    Dean already stated on twitter that a too large udp package is the culprit of those lags. He also said by tommorow morning gmt time they should now which package that is and be able to solve those problems. Dean Hall @rocket2guns The lag issue with 0.42 relates to size of UDP packets exceeding what can be handled. We are isolating which message causing this to fix it Dean Hall @rocket2guns @THE_OUTLAW_313 Tomorrow morning GMT we will know the message that is causing the UDP problems.     @HatkeineAhnung Please refrain from talking to me. Obviously you are absolute clueless. They said the current Zombie respawn mechanic is a first test. Most likely for all the whining,hating and bitching folks that demanded every 10th post MORE ZEDS. Here you go have more zeds! NOOOOOOOOOO WTF ARE YOU DOING DAYZ STAFF *whine again* *sigh* See it doesn't matter how they do something there will always be guys who think they could demand it to be different. Did they ever stated those respawn mechanics would be final? NO. It was said the final respawn mechanic should spawn them Outside of the town and let them move towards town based on the noise people create. ( this would be the best case ) Now stop crying for your own sake. Calling me a Fanboi Hahahaha I stopped being a fanboy of anyone/anything the day I got my Preordered Gothic 3. Never again shall anyone have my trust. I just know more stuff about Game Development or Design than crying kids on forums. Thats why I see things different then you. Also read my Signature. Stay off the Game if your mind can't handle the alpha phase. I apologize to all non German speakers for German trash talk in the last posts. Nothing of interest was mentioned.     Tell me then. How does the Money they made have anything to do with the progress speed? Because, if its like infusing money into veins I only know that cures Aids (see South Park as a reference) I didn't know though it speeds up game development workflows, instantly and automatically. I thought with the money they made from early access they wanted to make sure they could finish this at all. Also if they made way more then enough they could go search for more people who would work on it. Of course those people have to be found , then contracts have to be set up and signed. Next thing those people have to move into an office, either the existing one in Praque or a new one somewhere else. Equipment has to be set up. Then they'll have to be schooled how to use the engine/internal structures. Before those new people will begin to make progress much time will have to pass. Well its 4 months ago now that ea has started, not considering Christmas and New Year Eve. So by now I guess the new guys started to work too. But as things go it's certainly complicated to get everyone together and to make sure nothing bad gets commited. So much regarding the money they made and how that influences the progress. Now lets see, so you STILL think it's your right to blame them, or demand something from them even THOUGH they warned you: DO NOT BUY OR PLAY THE GAME IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE PAIN

    Seem to bet Skill related killed about 20 zombies with a bat yesterday. Had a fight 1vs3 zeds with a bat in a house. Though they've hit once and made me loose blood I killed them all. Just run around and dont try to fight them head on unless you have an axe. You just have to get used where your swings land and do dmg. I know its tedious but absolutely doable.

    Too bad ;( Oh noez! And here everyone was yelling for a new stable patch! Its all the devs fault. Nothing to do with the pressure of the community! Mang this sucks Cya. (hopefully by the end of alpha) Actually I played the game for 2 Hours today on stable. And my problems were not that bad. I easily killed 2 people and had a gunfight with another group without those weird lags/desync. Or at least they were not as bad as those described here. So either you guys are exaggerating extremely or you have bad luck or you simply still don't get what an alpha is. Choose for yourself. And sorry I am not a native english speaker. Instable OMG *blushes and kills another Alien Queen*

    Well not tonight is my guess. You will have to wait at least 12 hours for more information on that matter. AFAIK the "hotfix" on experimental is again for data mining. Its probably more effective and less time consuming then having someone work on it all day long. Also everyone agreed to help in developing the game when we bought it, so why not make use of us :D Well unless it was a present from someone else. So you bought an Zombie-Apocalypse-Survival-Game and now you are mad because zombies are actually getting in your way. Also Human Interaction. Don't make me laugh. It's 90% shoot on sight. Or beeing backstabbed or getting handcuffed and force fed some weird stuff. Really Interesting human interaction. Btw.: Maybe you shouldn't shoot so much?! That would prevent it from being a Zombieshooter. I've played for 3 hours today and had no bigger problems with zeds.

    We do , you obviously don't know the difference. Or you're just an ignorant fool. There are several projects worked on simultaneously. Some things can get fixed easily and fast others are in dependency to other systems/features which have to be fixed/worked at/finished first.     I've had no problems playing on servers with up to 8 people on. Maybe its just some servers, or depending on some items people on this server have in their inventory?

    I've had no rubberbanding playing an hour on a low pop server. Zombies appearing out of nowhere = new simple respawn mechanic to please all the whiners "more zombiezzz" Can't confirm problems with ladders used some nothing weird happened, (well doesn't mean you ain't right) Inventory/interacting problems that occur: see hicks twitter: @Hicks_206 they are investigating this issue already. For me everything seems to work smoother with every stable patch. I've had an overall better performance so far. Though I've had server side connection problems too at first.

    Try different servers, or relogging/restarting the game. I've had those lags the first time around too, today. I've switched servers due to server restart and everything was fine on the new one.
  15. All patches so far were for experimental or not? There shouldn't be charloss for stable branch therefore.

  18. Comparing FPS Games with straight bullet trajectory to Arma "real life" simulated bullet trajectory. Seems legit. Just to clarify if you did not know. You have to zero out your weapons based on the distance you are shooting. Dunno if you knew that or not. Also really nice Weekly Update on tumbler! I am getting excited for whats coming!
  19. You should probably follow the forums or devtracker because its been said thousands of times why so much time passed since the last patch. Or stop trolling. Got on one experimental server. Have been stuck on wait for host for a few minutes before I spawned at berenzino again. Saw noone , no zeds, no loot couldn't act with anything for the first 2 Minutes, but saw doors open. Then suddenly everything started to work. Didnt feel any difference in controls though, like others mentiond. Is it just me only spawning in berenzino and solnichniy 90% of respawns?

  22. You know, theres a differnce between constuctive posts like: "That feature doesn't work so well how about changing it like "that" so it will be more like "this". Or "I have severe problems with "x" on server "y" anyone else? And Posts like: wheres ma carz! wheres ma choppa! more zombies! more weapons! tents! Because quite franly those are very obvious things. When I got this early access I've jumped into the game and failed hard obviously. I died by zeds, players, geometry, clunky controls/movements, !ladders! , lags , desync, bugs and because sometime I am very stupid. While playing this game I realised too: There aren't many Zombies, Jogging all around Chernarus ain't that much fun and so on. But what I did was check the forums get used to where the devs statements appear and read a lot. No need to post those things because most problems and features have already been talked about. So why whine? Edit: No most exp servers have been taken down during weekend for database maintenance.
  23. Quite sure glitchting into/through Buildings/Walls still works on 0.37 Don't know if its working on 0.42 but I guess with all the lags its happening a lot even unintentionally.
  24. Saving money is my guess. It's not simple to create a whole new engine without getting into more trouble later on. I assume they knew what were the biggest problems with the old engine and thought it would be faster/cheaper to fix those problems rather than developing a new engine from scratch or licensing another one and learn to operate on that one.
  25. About the Patchlog/DevStatememts How about this: We have one Thread with the Patchlog. The patchlog starts with a version change and the fixes they've made. Every time they add something, they add it to the bottom , separated by one blank line. Starting from the second post, all statements (twitter/reddit/forum/devblog) relevant to this patchlog are quoted/integrated. This thread should be closed for users. Some active moderators would be necessary Then there should be a second Thread which has the exact same firstpost as the first one but will let everyone else post in it. I bet this would solve many communication problems...
