Awesome first post. On Stable: I can't say the same. I have less network problems then hacker problems. You should probably check that on your end. On experimental: This has been announced and is not a problem, its intended. Edit: I hope someone else will write your posts from now on...

Would you support a desicion to replace the Infusion engine?
Ellen Ripley replied to Damnyourdeadman's topic in General Discussion
@Damnyourdeadman You have to accept that you are gravely underestimating the amount of work it takes to switch/change gameengines. It is by no means a simple task. If you want DayZ: SA to be in alpha for another 2-4 years then don't stop asking for a complete change. However if you can accept the fact that they are working on the engine and remodeling it for their purpose then wait for Enfusion to go live. And keep playing DayZ and whatever will follow afterwards. It takes time for changes and improvements...and maybe we will see a DayZ SA followup with an even better engine in 4 or 5 years. btw. AFAIK VBS3 is a engine for military purpose with pretty high requirments. You can google those easily. It would need a lot of rework to be suitable for a DayZ experience. Thus we would have to wait yet again a few years for it to be as playable as DayZ SA is now. -
Please this really bugs me too! I need an option to choose a sound device in game. I am often playing while watching a stream/movie. Therefore I need the gamesound on my headset while the other soundsource has to be my TV. So please while you are reworking the engine try to add an option for the sound device, too. Other Programs/Games offer this option already ( Skype, Diablo 3 etc. ) See also this Topic: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/208458-implement-way-to-select-sound-output-device/

Are you playing this game alone without any friends joining you? If so I highly doubt you'll find this game amusing. It's a game where 95% of the playtime is wasted. only those 5% are somewhat interesting for most people. Those are the encounters with other players. Only when you've gathered enough experience how this game works and why it is played by a certain group of gamers, you'll probably have fun even when theres no sign of anybody else around. Because you will know that a certain place or situation calls for an suprising encounter...and you don't wanna risk your gear, right?!

Stable releases are once a month. They've said in the devblog new stable is aimed at the end of october. But it could be later anyways. -

Actually I feel fine thanks. The urge to make someone feels stupid is kinda akward though. Maybe you should think about that. Also @ a_ruttle please refer to us as superior human beings as CPanther mentioned. Its funny how after every experimental people start bitching and crying I CANNOT SURVIVE THIS SUCKS I WANNA COD NOT SURVIVAL I always wondered why you play this game it clearly states its a survival game. How would this be a survival game if surviving was guaranteed? -

I didn't know it until now. But you are probably right. I must be "a superior human being" and everyone else probably "are scrubs". Thats the only possible explanation for me being able to survive in a buggy alpha video-game. -

Bullshit. I've started on experimental right after they released the patch. Though I am always playing hardcore on exp. I survived on my first character. Even though I've sprinted all across the map from Solnichniy to Zelenogorsk. I had around 7-10 hours of gameplay on exp with one char and managed to get Energized/Hydrated/Healthy half an hour ago. And all that playing solo. I still find plenty of food around. Probably because no one is playing on hardcore though. Yet you guys should take into consideration that having only a few exp servers for everyone willing to play exp, it may very well be that this is throwing the balance over board. To many freshspawns for the amount of servers provided. Thus people keep starving. My guess is, the respawn rate is quite good as it is. @CPanther I don't need that website. And yet I did survive on this experimental version without any greater problems. And I only started reading about the experience others had with this version after I've made my way to the west and had been geared well. ( so I didn't even know I could have catched a few rabbits on my way there ) I am seriously irritated how bad many players are in terms of adapting to new gameplay / balancing -
Will DayZ reach Beta or at least have the most wanted features in by the end of this year / beginning of next year.
Ellen Ripley replied to xxpillsxx's topic in General Discussion
Simple answer? No. Do I mind the beta delay? No. Development is progressing. Gameplay is permanently changing. I still have fun playing DayZ. -
Seems like your server has no connection to the hive.

@bizow you might have been on a server that was fresh after booting. @solodude23 thought that too, yet the pants had been fixed later on, was just another lag probably I didnt see any zeds for the first 10-20 minutes either, then they began showing up, Right now its laggy though, got a few desyncs and setbacks. Zeds running through doors/walls. Patch needs tuning. Despite that, controls seemed to be smoother yet again. Gameplay felt nice. I'm excited how it's gonna be once they've polished that version a little more. -

I wouldn't put to much thought into that actually. My friends and I will simply choose some private hive once they've been established and stick to solo server hives. ( if thats gonna be possible at all ) -

As Demonica said try uncommon places not Hotspots. Also its still possible that lootcyclers are filling the servers lootresources with militaryloot hence preventing survival loot to spawn. Go inland as told by many other or move further along the coastline behind balota. There are plenty of possibilities. -

Guys there is no respawn at server-restart anymore. With real-time respawn working there is no need for that. Also about veresnik base: Closed doors dont say anything. When I am lootclycing there I close all doors behind me every time. Closed doors are no sign for unlooted places in my opinion. Especially with the new spawnsystem, server restarts close all doors yes, but that dosn't mean something new spawned at all. Interesting Note: I dropped some backpacks full of junk for a test about 12 hours ago on a server. Checked them now again, some stuff in those backpacks vanished, either someone found it or whats more likely those items in the container degraded and vanished over time. -

New Patch - New Life(s) So today I've played the new Experimental. My first 2 lifes were miserable. The first ended falling from a crane in Svetlojarsk. (btw theres loot on top of them) The second ended with a desync and 3 zombies hitting the air 10 meters away from me thus killing me. 3 is the charm so to say. Thats when I finally survived. Though it was a tough survival trip. I've had to rely on apples for a long time loosing nealy all my blood before I finally found an axe and food to regain healthy status. That was after 2 or 3 hours of playtime. Shortly after that I've arrived at the military base between vybor and kabanino. This is the current method of lootcycling for me: Find a new backpack (mountain backpacks are nice for this purpose) grab everything you don't need until its full. Find a Zed and with some luck you'll be able to access his inventory. Drop the backpack on the zed and begin from start. You'll probably find another sparse backpack where you can store all the stuff you actually want to keep. Respawn is damn fast in this military base and even solo you'll be able to farm something usable. Also by getting rid of the trash with zombies you won't fill the server with junk items. Additional Note: I really hope the devs will find a way to prevent such loot cycling. It's pretty darn stupid and breaks the game's purpose.
