I carry both the M4 in my hands and the Mosin with a long range scope on my back. That way when I'm running around looting buildings I'm ready for some CQB in case I get jumped, but I've also got my Mosin for long range "scouting". :P

God, I hope that's not true. I have terrible aim....lol. :P

In all fairness DayZ is a lot closer to an MMORPG than a FPS.

With a scope I can. Apparently, all zombies come equipped with LRS vision built in. New and improved cyborg-zombies. :P

I don't mind the new zombies being faster. The respawn rate is definitely too quick though. I'd say make it so you have at least 60 seconds to bandage up or reload before a new one appears. And as always: Tone down the aggro range! Seriously, that's just ridiculous that they can see you from like 800 yards away.

Good news! After uninstalling and reinstalling both DayZ and Steam I'm finally able to play again without issues. Gotta do what ya gotta do. ;)

Haha..... too late. Just uninstalled both Steam & DayZ. Reinstalling them both now. In about 2 hours I'll let ya know if that worked. ;)

Well, I followed the instructions as best as I could understand and now I have no BattlEye at all. Before I could play for about 2 mins before getting kicked. Now I can't even get in for a second. Maybe I'll just try to reinstall and start over. :(

Unless you don't know anything about computers other than how to turn them on and start playing video games of course. In that case you're just screwed. :P

Well that's just fantastic. I deleted the BEClient.dll file as specified and tried downloading the new BE Client. I have no idea what I'm doing.....lol. It's all gobble degook computer lingo to me. Needless to say I think I just made things worse. Thanks for the tips though. :(

Yeah, I'm going to have to stop playing until this gets fixed. It's too bad cuz this is is my favorite game right now. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. :(

This is far too confusing for us non-computer literate folk. Guess I won't be playing for awhile until this is fixed automatically cuz I have no clue how to get that indepth at installing and deleting individual files. :(

So I've just been kicked about 6 times now because it keeps saying BattleEye has failed to update. And I just noticed the last time I logged in that it looked like I was loading into a version 42 build even though the server list shows all 43's. Any idea what's goin on there? Thanks for any help if anyone has had the same issue.

It will happen eventually, that much I'm sure of. It's only a matter of time. They'd be potentially missing out on millions of dollars if they didn't. That being said they won't even consider it until after the PC version is locked up. So I'd say maybe 2 years from now at the absolute earliest. More likely 3-4 years. Either way I'll buy both versions. :)

For $30 I'd say everyone got their monies worth. Even if by some crazy turn of events it never made it to release (which would be darn near impossible at this point) it was still well worth the 30 bucks. Every bug fixed and feature added from now on is just icing on the cake.
