Lol, player diplomacy would sure help, if someone's willing to kill somebody, he will kill him no matter how skilled in diplomacy he is. -

If you play DayZ you have to choose between 2 things -Avoid other players -Get killed -
Firestations, military tents, anything that's military

Also what I would change about zombies is not only their number, but their power. It's wrong that we can kill 30 zombies with a fireaxe or any melee weapons if only we're inside a building. Maybe zombies should jump to you way more often, be a bit faster even in the buildings and things like that

-I agree with the gear being too easy to find -Yes we need more loot -I don't agree with the map being too big, I would expand it even more so there is more places you can hide your gear. Expanding map also needs something that would make the new area interesting, like new buildings with new loot that are only in that certain part of the map. -Yes, for me all towns look boring, it's just the same buildings with the same loot table, I wish all towns looked different, had their own loot table and something special about each. -The zombies suck indeed. No doubt for that

I don't know how would "taking control" over a building or a military base, or even a town work, you would have to be in the game forever, guarding the building, and if you log out other players will have no problems with taking all your stuff -

Usually most people are very friendly when they're new, as they play longer and longer they see that most people kill each other, so they just do what the rest is doing, unless they were born to be heroes.

I don't wanna create another thread so I'll post here. It's way too easy to get into the endgame. Too easy to get full gear. We should be able to upgrade everything, get achivements, collect, anything to do that would make our character better and better. I think this is one of the bigger problems we'll have to solve

Good advice, but it usually doesn't work, if someone is KoSing he will kill you no matter if you scream you're friendly or if you offer him to trade your DMR for rotten banana, asshole is just asshole. I tried to be very nice to players, 9/10 killed me after I told them I'm friendly and I didn't have a weapon. Sometimes you will meet a cool guy you can trust and team up with, but those guys are very rare. Also If you want to stay away from cities like Balota, Cherno, etc then you're not gonna find any good gear, unless in incoming updates devs will change loot table. -

I don't want KoS to be completely removed, It's just ridiculous that 99.7% of DayZ will shoot you in the head as soon as they will see you coming from half a mile away. It needs to be reduced in a natural way. Put benefits of being a hero. There still would be a reason to be alert and focused all the time - other players, and the zombies. Right now they aren't a threat, but I hope it will change soon, changing alot in the game.

OP I really love all your ideas, except for that chat messages about someone's mentality and benefiting a hero with greater stamina, faster running etc. It's just wrong, a guy who likes to be a bandit because that's the way he likes to play will have to force himself to play as hero to get some extra bonuses. Except for that, I love the ideas, even the NPCs ideas. I know that word NPC sounds like some crazy illegal witch speech for most of the DayZ players, but I can imagine it working amazing. Thinking of NPCs in DayZ puts an image of one game in my head - STALKER. I think that if we ever want to think about NPCs we should do it the way STALKER does it. I dont think devs will make all of your ideas come true but I hope they'll do at least some of them. Nice job, OP -

Skills are probably the best idea so far, not a typical MMO skills where you gain +10 to Strenght, skills like crafting, hunting, repairing, being able to stay stealthier when crawling around zombies etc

That would be unfair to other players, when the owner of the base or a car dies, it would be good for other people to be able to take his stuff, but if it just dissapears after the owner dies, it's kinda a dick move

Please no, I don't know how people can enjoy role playing games, It's just so fake and emotionless. I wanna play as who I am and do what I feel is good, not doing "what a guy in my situation would most probably do"

That's what needs to be changed, zombies SHOULD be the #1 threat for all players. KoS is good sometimes just to add to the game the feeling of danger from other players but when it becomes CoD where everyone is shooting everyone without even thinking twice something is definetely wrong
