I've just started, but I've already learned to not complain about losing gear. -
It's fair. It's keeping gear out of the hands of other players.

So, yesterday I bought ARMA: CO. I woke up at 2AM the next morning the games were done downloading. I did the setup for DayZ. I join a server, despite being told my PC most likely couldn't handle it. I spawn at Kamenka or something like that. I roam around obtaining nothing more then a watch and water bottle. I head into a town that I still don't know the name of, and I die. I join again but this time I spawn near Elektro. I join up with a guy named Roger and he teaches me how to equip a hatchet. While leaving Elektro he shoots me when a zed was attacking by accident. I respawn for the last time so far, I go into Elektro and meet up with a guy named Apple and a guy named Survivor. We camp out in the fire house in Elektro. I find a ghillie suit and we leave. After Apple dies and Survivor logs off I find a guy named Mini Me. We head to Novy Sobor and we break our legs. We spend around 20 minutes fixing that. Then we head to Stary Sobor, he logs off and I'm stuck at around 3000 blood. The zeds over run me. I love DayZ

I didn't meet a single bandit or hacker, so it was really good.
-
That would've been useful haha. I was really low on blood and the zeds overrun me, but thanks for the offer.

I just started DayZ, I'm 14 and I actually met quite a few younger kids. My voice isn't helium high either.

Quit whining about hackers/script kiddies...

Stand alone soon? Pffft unless you want the same hacking results as DayZ has then might as well settle down. -
@Rocket; Does it really have to be zombies?
kingfury4 replied to daedrick's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
To be truthful, this is one of the few zombie games that has interested me. Most of them just don't draw me in. -
I know my PC is pretty bad. But, I would like to know. How bad would it be if I tried to play DayZ on this PC on the lowest settings? Yeah, I'm planning on upgrading but I'm getting it for Chirstmas. The waiting is torture.

You're in Russia, nuff said. -
Ok, thanks for all the help. I'll go ask them.
-
So, how bad would it be?
-
Thanks, but I'm planning on upgrading, but the waiting is killing me and I want to play it so bad.
-
I tried that, it ran good enough for me. But I've heard how DayZ is a bit different from the basic Arma.

I need a quick answer, I am getting the Alienware $699 model, unless you can recommend something better maybe around the same price. How well would the Alienware $699 model run DayZ?
-
Dang, well thanks for the input. You have my beans.
