Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Fre4krider replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
i didn't blame you directly i just used your comment to write an overall expression. sorry for that. And dont worry i'm not playing it right now :P Yes I know that lots of changed but I was talking about performance, zombies etc. and i read nearly every Devblog. As i said I think they're too much focused on other things or their Programmer Team is too small idk. -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Fre4krider replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
maybe they should stop working on other things cause this is a ZOMBIE survival game and over years now without a acceptable number of zombies. Maybe you guys are just blind or just true fanboys. Remember what Dan promised and look what we've got right now. I came back after a YEAR! (not the shortest period in software developing) and yes they added stuff but nothing really changed. Even if they double the amount of Zeds it's still not enough. And Yes i hade more fun playing the Mod just because of Zombies ;) You dont even know the meaning of alpha. They are going beta soon but how? In Beta Software sould look like at its finished state but with bugs, unstable etc. Are we at this point? :D Yes after 2 years they will add 10k Zeds, the renderer and bases within the next few Months to be ready for Beta. Dream on.... They'll remove the Alpha sticker and put a Beta on it and you guys will call it a whole new DayZ experience. -
Really bad performance (yes I've researched prior to posting)
Fre4krider replied to gooberz's topic in Troubleshooting
The Game is poor optimized yet. A good GPU is good but not very importand cause the Game only uses GPU by 30-40%. All you need is a SSD and a fast CPU, 3.3GHz is okay more is better. All you can do is wait till the new renderer is released and put Objects on low.. This improves FPS the most. good n8 -
I dont read very much about server optimization but i belive they are working on it. What are they doing right now in view to Multicore threads Client and Server side etc? Personally i think it's the most diffucult and also the most importand thing in development. Do you know anything about that?

thanks that was informative =)

Hi i didn't read all of the Dev blogs so i propably missed it. But i've read about the Enfusion Engine while searching for Information about the development state of the RV3 Engine in DayZ. I was conserned about server performance in DayZ because i only read about new features in the Blog and as i know they used a very similar Engine to the Arma 3 engine which is not optimized as well. (Just play King of the Hill and you know what i mean ...) So I was afraid if it's still crappy in the future compared with Arma 3's multiplayer performance. But then I read about Enfusion and all Hope came back. So is it still on RV3 Engine and when will it get ported to Enfusion?

Two words. More Zombies. Or Dayz is just a running simulation

Title says it all... The god damn hide Body funtion should be just working with a shovel or smt. Why is it still in the Game? Just for trolling or what

not sure no. But is's a game and a Supressor also reduces accuracy but it doesn't in real life i guess, just the bullet travels slower. I thought there is a balance feature for attachments like in battlefield

Reduce The Common Lag In Dayz [Tutorial]
Fre4krider replied to Sanitöter's topic in General Discussion
I try to explain it a bit more. Sorry about my english. What it does, it puts Data from on half filled Paket into an other half filled Paket. But half filled pakets don't appear every Second so it has to wait for it. That causes Lag but improves Performance Let's look at a TCP/IP Paket: There is a Frame around that Paket with needed data as Destination, Departure, Size, Priority, Safety etc etc. which causes Overhead (Bits which arent Data) By disabling the Data Collection for an unfilled Paket you produce much more Overhead, and thats not a big problem but as I said, as faster your connection is as more Overhead you got = less Mbit/s usefull Data transferred ;) -
Reduce The Common Lag In Dayz [Tutorial]

but as faster your connection is as more performance you lose due to the overhead. -
it reduces recoil with a negative effect on accuracy, in worn condition it should be worse than in pristine

FXAA Does not require large amounts of computing power, achieved by smoothing jagged edges according to how they appear on screen as pixels, rather than analyzing the 3D models itself as in conventional anti-aliasing. MSAA The edges of polygons (the most obvious source of aliasing in 3D graphics) are antialiased. Wikipedia. MSAA starts first, FXAA works with the interpolated Frame after

objects detail... but u cant disable it just the amount of grass

What are the default settings for scenecomplex, shadowz, view dist and preferred object?
Fre4krider replied to Mr_Tyson's topic in Troubleshooting
sceneComplexity=500000; shadowZDistance=250; viewDistance=3000; // try here a lower value for performance preferredObjectViewDistance=1736.2638;
