Maybe have the range for more important items like ammo and guns be larger so you can grab one as you're sprinting past it. Shouldn't come with rounds unless they're loaded in it though.

Also hearing AK shots being fired is probably a lot less alarming around there than Armalite shots.

I think in DayZ's defence the lore is to have some sort of recent US interference whether it was the events of Arma 2 or just the CDF using a bit of US stock.It does however feel strange to see M14's and M16 in a post soviet country... Either way I definitely want eastern counterparts to be more common. I would like to see very rare guns if the devs ever get bored and wanna make models, things like Lugers and Takerovs hidden away in people's houses. Not as effective as the modern counterparts, but for something so cool it might not be such a massive bit of extra weight. Hell I managed to lug around two cans of Mountain Dew without drinking either just fine. The only thing I find annoying about rare things though, is dying before you got to use them, and then you see a wasteful bandit drinking your man dew instantly in your head and you can't help but fume at the thought.

Stations could easily be emptied in a couple weeks. Everybody filling up their cars and a couple cans at the same time before they attempt to skip town. The few that still have petrol stations would probably been properly full before the infection.

I hope any sniper is bolt action and any semi auto is small caliber. Knowing how to shoot has nothing to do with fire rate of a gun. Because morons are out there spam shooting these guns, that warrants the nerfing of the fire rates for people that don't? 99% of the time I'm not gonna need to spam fire, but when a come around a corner in elektro or have a car blaring towards me, I'd like to be able to put some rounds toward it and fast. These videos just prove that even experienced shooters can't accurately fire that thing at two rounds a second.Although nerfing the fire rate was an under-sight it should be less controllable when firing quickly and clunky in CQ. Meaning you'll wanna carry an AK over a sniper in CQ. Seem less COD to you?

I really don't see what your problem with this is Capo.Sometimes I like to sit near a fire... Not because I'm cold, but it feels right for me to be doing that as I'm talking to friends. If I get a live bandit. I can't set him free He'd be right back on my tail, he would be right back in if I just shot him aswell. Spawn in, sprint back to gear scenario. I would prefer to get him good while I have the chance, but also offer a proper death than a bullet to give him the good thought he's gone before it happens. Closure, closes that problem. He knows he's dead. He doesn't have to try and make up for his stupid grudge to feel tough. He surrendered and was hung, there wasn't much he could've done. On the first note. KOS and Lynching are two very different things.You could also be hanging the worst offending bandits publicly, leaving them up there for other bandits to see that hero's ain't no pussies.

The only train I've ever been on was a pre 21st century steam train.I'm pretty sure that I could jump off a steam train no trouble though, no need to stop.

And how is... Promising somebody their freedom then shooting them in the back gonna make them feel? I would personally hunt that lying bandit for the rest of days. Being hung... Would be a slow process, but you could try running. You can shake from restraints, but they can just shoot you. Just running away should be the same, you'd be useless and maybe can't break free while running but you would probably get shot. Should in the end always be more than one option for a player.

I guess what I want... Is no crosshairs and more recoil.That makes the M14 AIM ok in CQ while you wouldn't wanna scoped gun. I guess I also want the 9mm buff.

Think of your favourite TV series.Then your favourite character from that series. Now imagine on the next episode he is shot in the back and dies when ending off the series before his story is done. You'd be pretty pissed right? You want some proper closure, its the same for your character in DayZ, these spectacular deaths close off that link in the chain. You can put that grudge with those players behind you because you are more accepting of your previous characters death.
