Why can't I drink from this water pump west of Elektro (I'm about to die!!) Also why does the graphics keep going fuzzy? Is this a water thing? I well fed and have tryed to rest.

When should I be extremely worried about dying of thirst? Would my screen be black & white? I've been playing almost 2 hours with only food. Do you guys think I should be able to make it to the swamp if I'm feeling dizzy, I need a drink, my head is throbbing sort of things?

Um. I can't seem to drink from the water pump west of Elektro. I've been using the scroll wheel and been pressing F. If anyone can help you will probably save a life, I saw another guy having trouble drinking from it before and passed him off as a noob.

I just tear T-shirts into rags whenever I find them and chuck em in my hoodie pockets. But I've only played an hour tops so I only have two shirts worth of rags.

I'm told they don't work atm, they need to fix that fast.As for me I already have one in under an hours playtime. And a can of food gives you four feeds :D

I think 16 or something hour days would be cool.That way, even if you're coming on at a consistent time each day you get a variety of gameplay over time.

^If you KoS how are you a good guy bandit? Good guy bandit if you ask me is impossible, You can be the guy that helps others... Or you can be the guy that shoots them. You could be the one that helps who he chooses and shoots who he chooses, then I would regard you as a survivor like me, I never made an effort to be a bandit, trying to help people is far more challenging.

Have you tried joining their game right from steam? Doesn't that take you right to their server? Why would you need to be in non-US servers anyway, just hop on a US server and get them to join you. Assuming they don't have similar issues with Canadian servers?

Yes, the game shouldn't be easy.But as far as basic equipment needed for the first couple hours of survival goes, I don't think that should be overly rare. I actually really wouldn't even like to be seeing players with M4's so soon. I would be happy if most only had mosins and shotguns at his point at what is probably at-least 8 hours in for a lot of people. But I'm seeing pics of people with payday masks and 50 7.62 rounds M4, Mosin, fireaxe. I suppose there's a chance they ran right away from the spawn and server hopped...

Why is there no can and bottle opener on this spnifork?

I think this should more be for something that is consistently causing death, even when in groups.The idea of dayZ for me is long term survival, maybe nobody's good enough at the game yet, but from what I hear surviving sounds like its mostly whether or not you get a can opener, otherwise you're forced to eat rotten fruit and are 100% doomed. They need to make knife + can = opened can + knife, because can openers are silly their only use is a safer way to open a can without dulling your knifes blade. You can open a can on a rock or a tree of you're strong enough, on a building or some concrete, slam a fricken door on it. theres so many ways to open a can Its kind of silly that you can die because you don't have a can opener.

Condoms are pretty good at storing bodily fluids. Why can't we use them?

It has its own controls. I think tab is inventory. I don't think they'll change it into the game, it might confuse folks. A lot of dayZ players don't even venture out into the world of Arma. Not hard to change them... Just take two minutes and change them.

I think (from community voice) we need a slower rate of hunger and also for cans to be openable by any bladed weapon, including axes, maybe even shoot cans open?

I just found out you get a torch.I say the fact you spawn with a torch and a battery kind of destroys the point. I always found walking around with a torch in the dark very atmospheric. I suppose dayZ commander had it and not too much trouble was caused. I would rather the community not be separated though, I'm sure Rocket and many devs would say the same.

I didn't like how in the mod you would find people just migrate to daytime servers, and the only people that didn't had NVG's.
