    Break "engine" Down To Smaller Parts

    In fairness the mod had "engine parts" but I like this system anyway. The more micro managing and difficulty in fixing something the better. Vehicles could be fixed in about 30 mins in the mod an hour should be a quickfix to get it moving, then another few hours even with the vehicle working to get it up to full health. specifics aren't bad either. Motorbike engine could be done in one whole piece. Bicycle tire, Motorcycle tire, car tyre all purpose, car tyre off road.

    ^ I would say KoS is slightly lower. Maybe it is just the rarity of guns, and people are hiding because I had a gun. I only ever died while armed with only melee as it stands... Sooo.

    1. Gear up/ attempt to have friendly encounters.2. Look for people to help out/ kill if they shoot at you. 3. Die from lucky bandit, doesn't matter had a good mix of friendly and unfriendly encounters. 4. Make world a worse place for bandits and a better one for friendlies - godly status achieved.

    The best idea against server hopping

    How about, you can log out instantly.But you will still be vulnerable to player damage for 30 seconds. That way, you log off safely or not at all. You can however wait to log out if you want to play it safer. And a player that has logging out will stand in a default sort of position. So if someone stops suddenly and stands up you know they've combat logged and you are free to stop and axe the cowardly fool.

Hahaha, you think you should be able to get fully geared in half an hour.Go away, play the mod in a private hive server and spawn with a dmr so you can have your fun fully geared firefights 20 seconds from the spawn. DayZ standalone is about achieving something different and real. And if the devs say it is a simulator then it is a simulator, dayZ is a zombie apocalypse survival simulator. If it wasn't that they would take out food and hunger and zombies. Go and play battlefield, because you don't know what DayZ is about.

    Gun Cleaning Kit

    I would like to see it show up sometime in the Alpha. Older guns like the Mosin may require more maintenance, but as the guns get newer including farm guns they require less. AK models should be really good at not jamming up. Nato guns should be about in the middle.
  15. As far as I'm concerned DayZ is not a casual game, but when did I say don't include American and German and Austrian weapons... I didn't I liked those guns too.I would just like it if most people will be coming across melee weapons, then a higher majority with farm weapons, 10, 22's, 12g shotguns, and hunting rifles. Then a smaller base of good players might come across local military level weaponry, the very very active players might have the luck to find Nato guns. But the idea with this is that you always have a preference and don't just find the most powerful and best looking gun in half an hour. If you want casual As-50 in every second house, like using 3rd person to cheat, and prefer shooting newspawns because you're casual it is you that needs a server of your own. DayZ is a simulator why sacrifice reality because some derp that wants a M14 DMR in eastern Europe?

    I would want to see them be able to chase wildlife once it has been spooked. Bite their neck and crap, maybe you could get dog specific loot like a boar hunting collar. But, I think what we will need is an a command system right from Arma 2 but with whistling. He should log out with the character that owns his loyalty.

    Manual would be an enhancement. It would mean you have a way of limiting your speed that the W key doesn't allow. Be in a low gear to go slow.

    They have to have some sort of build regulations in some areas if they do try adding base building.Anything other than large industrials and houses should have a protection zone, so you can't just block off the doors and farm loot. Building stuff should be costly, inventory sapping lumber, nails, a hammer, saw. A plank of wood could be wielded and stored like a melee weapon. It would take up about as much room as a Mosin in inventory. But you could carry two bits of wood by moving melee into inventory, equipping wood as melee weapon putting it away and putting a piece of wood in hands. With three bits of wood, a couple burlap sacks, a plastic tarpaulin, a dozen nails, a hammer, a saw, a shovel, and a sneaky spot to build. You would place everything in you vicinity. Except the hammer, equip the hammer as a weapon and use the mouse scroll wheel to select what to build you then select spider hole and you get a very sneaky little loot spot able to keep your stuff pretty dry and hold a gun a bag and about ten spaces for items. There would on the ground visibly be a woody texture half blended in with the ground containing some of the natural flora, autumn leaves, loose dirt, loose rocks, dead grass. Pretty damn hidden and ok for loot, but insecure and hard to make. That is my idea of a loot stash :)

  20. Chernarus Defense force guns taking place as the most common military level equipment That might mean AK-107 and G36 from what I'm reading fortunately they use the RPG and RPK though. They also apparently use the prototype XM8. Sensible Russian Weapons AKM, AK-74M, MP443, AKS-74u, SVD, RPK, RPG-7 (of course this sort of stuff should be super friggen rare but should still be 10 times as common as Nato gear) Russian Fatigues which is TTsKO. I think Mix the chernarus military into a less westernised/ german armed looking military and make the AK-74M as common as the AK-107 to get that nice wooden furniture, add the old favourite from the mod back :) Makarov. Maybe have the AKS-74u (should have small inventory space keeping in find it has a folding stock) as rare as the assault rifles since it has a shorter barrel and is less accurate. AKM should probably be a bit rarer than the others with it being 7.62 I wouldn't mind seeing the AKM type 2 (6H4) Bayonett and AK-74M bayonett. Keep I mind that even though I said a lot of advanced military crap that I do want this stuff to be incredibly rare anyway if much of it does ever get added. Ideas for AK style mods could be that wooden vertical grip. That lovely style of sound suppressor. Duct taped mags. 2-3 Bipod. AK-107 style red dot, since I think that thing comes with sight rails. PSO style scopes. Slings. Synthetic stock parts for the tactical ninja of the group. Possibly RIS rail attachments to make Nato attachments interchangeable. All the juice I have for now. Might have to think about the weapons that Chernarus defence force has that don't seem to fit the scene (XM8) maybe G36 I suppose it's fine and legitimate. M4 needs to be Über rare though. More über rare than I want these lot of Russian and CDF guns to be, 80% of players should only really be wielding civilian guns/ no gun at all. 1-5% might have the rare Nato/ offshore military gear.

    What sort of tents do you mean? Enterable tents/ just damn loot storing tents.I am trying to propose a system that takes away the hoarding mentality, by not providing players with so many things to permanently store loot. What this will in end do, is make a camp a place you may regularly stop and cook/ warm up/ modify gear without worrying about it packing up and leaving by tomorrow. The thing about dayZ mod camps is that they fed the already item hungry players, now instead of going out and loosing everything. They could go out, loose everything and have everything back with a short trip to his base without concern of running back into the bandit that killed him. They need loot storage extremely hard to come by, and things that are pretty much impossible to shift so that players aren't constantly paranoid. I would personally have, a small camp centred around a campfire. With a small white marquee with a nice looking chair as well as a toolbench and ammo loading table inside. I would sit by the fire cooking a meal, hungry survivors may approach and ask for a taste of my lovely boar on a spit. I tell them yes, if you stay for a story and a warm drink aswell. I chuck the pot on the spit, pour some of my canteen water and cover the pot to boil for two hot drinks. I produce two mugs and I ask him where he has come from, he tells me he came from far on the east coast travelling through he big cities before finally heading north past Zelengorsk way before going bush and stumbling upon my camp. The pot begins steaming and I produce a couple of stale looking teabags. I got bored... And so on and so on...

    It is a protective case, maybe this is a case (pardon the pun) of alpha. Hopefully it gets fixed.

    Next weapons we will be seeing. Sks (hopefully 10 round internal mag one with clip functionality) Sawed off shotgun Double barrelled shotgun Pump action shotgun of sorts Ruger 10, 22 Then possibly a AK-74M and a Remington 870. Then after those we are getting a C96 sure as day.

    If we get helicopters they need ToH controls, so hardly anybody is able to understand or fly them without having a proper (REAL) understanding of aircraft start and take off functions. Ascent and descent. For cars I would like to see manual gearboxes, a more rugged and off roady selection. All cars should be very beat up looking, very customisable with the rare newer model which would have advantages like better handing, better brakes. Maybe less top speed? When I drive my mothers car I can feel the difference in handling and acceleration. I would like the same sort of thing, in dayZ where everything seems equally as slow to gain speed or equally as difficult to control on corners. I wanna see a range from military and civilian vehicles with civilian usually being more damaged and rarer. Bicycles, mopeds, motorbikes, quad bikes, small cars, medium cars, large cars, SUVs, Utes, tow trucks, frate trucks, infantry trucks. Microlights, light planes, helicopters. All helicopters hard to fly, all aircraft require aircraft fuel. Crashed tanker trucks for a chance to grab some fuel, who knows which kind :) maybe order clipboard in driver cabin? Burn a cap full to test? Ofcourse depth and variety should be added over time, I'm happy with a bicycle for a month and an ugly sedan for another two after a year and a half of waiting.
