    In reality though it is actually a bit easier to shoot from the hip than in most games.Most games create a giant spread factor that makes it impossible to hipfire with anything that isn't automatic, the good thing about dayZ and arma is the bullet goes where the barrel is pointing, but with that at the end of the day people could put a dot on their screen/ something and have the same effect. What I think they need to do is increase idle and moving weapon sway a bit make shooting a bit harder and recoil a bit bigger, and holding your gun still unless lying down requires you to breath out.

    Neh, remove it for melee too. People just be trying to aim where the crosshair is and they have no idea that melee weapons hit on contact now. If they have buggy items then that needs to be fixed anyway.

    I wouldn't mind some messages/ a timer."You see a bright light in the darkness" etc. "you feel as though the light is getting closer" would indicate that without some help you will most certainly loose your life. "You begin hearing sounds"... "You are coming to" sort of things would indicate you are about to come out of unconsciousness.

    If you're dying your heart is probably going to be trying harder and harder to pump blood to the brain, not sure though.

    CPR is more for if someone has choked/ drowned isn't it. You hold their nose and blow air into their lungs, then you break the flabby jello cartilage around the sternum to manually pump blood past the lungs with the air you put there and into the brain where it can continue it's automatic functions like breathing and pumping blood. Would not mind a bit of simple first aid you can do to yourself and other players with just your hands. Things like lifting somebody's legs off the ground to increase blood flow to the brain or lift part of the body that is bleeding, lift legs if they're at low blood to keep blood circulating through vital organs. Dragging people with broken legs. Relocating arms and stuff after a crazed man with a blunt melee weapon attacks. Compressing wounds/ hand bandage. Putting sick & unconscious person in recovery position so they don't choke on vomit. Huddling together to warm up. Removing bullets?? Could increase rate of bleeding but lower the effectiveness of anything infectious that may have been on it (same with arrows/ anything stabby that you might throw). Clean wounds at water source/ with water container (no were near as effective as alcohol but can lower the rate of infection significantly). Just my first ideas that come to mind that I as a civilian might try. Maybe not that that relocate arm stuff, because it fixes itself after a few minuites.

    You got your naked underwear stuff, then a T-Shirt/ shirt ontop can go jackets/ hoodies. On top of that further could be big things dusters/ Ghillie suits. Would really like to get headwear working differently so people can't have a mask clipping their helmet and things that should probably go together like gas mask and ballistic helmet don't clip.

    Gooday' mate. I love this idea, it would be nice to see the artistic license of other players in game. I would like to see the photos appear sort of as a bundle/ maybe in a sort of diary with some stats and personal writings from the player. It may make some of these psychopaths realise what terrible destructive people they are too. Rgds Norris

    Hero/Bandit system made by the players

    You need to look at the permanent name thread. If this could be done and you have someway of getting a name as you would a face in your mind you could identify bandits and throw their name up everywhere. You could stick lists of untrustworthy people spotted killing new spawns in supermarkets and firestations. If we also had a smaller closed community like you might see on private hive whitelisted servers that would work wonders against banditry. It would be like seeing people you knew before the apocalypse.

    For vehicle guns I really wanna see them be turned out all the time in dayZ.I wouldn't mind seeing a 'duck' option though, however this would mean you are blindfiring if you choose to do so. It should be along the lines of impossible to fix though. Wouldn't mind it being tracked either, keep it all mixed up.

    I also think some doors should spawn open randomly so you don't go, oh crap this whole town has been looted the second you see an open door.Maybe inaccessible houses could have a slightly increased chance of things that would usually be taken like food and rarer items, since they might not have been looked through since the day of infection.

    End Spawn Suicide

    This will just make bandits more annoying in my opinion, when I respawn on the coast it usually takes 2-3 attempts before I get off alive. Imagine if it took a couple of hours just to get loot and run right off the coast. Murders would think their shit hot funny and the people misfortunate enough to be spawning in the wrong spots will be having a terrible time over and over again. Spawn timer = terrible, same spawn location to suicide = awesome idea. If there was a spawn timer however, I think it should rather become progressively longer for example first one is a minute, second one if you die in a couple minutes would be ten. There should also be a system in place that automatically deletes your body if you try to go back and gear up. If you get within say 100m of your body it should despawn.

    Tired of hearing fence bash sound in middle of the forest.Twigs, eating, doors, birds, animals, reloading, and everything else should all make sounds and have the potential to alert others and maybe even zombies of your presence/ whereabouts. We need a zombie 'investigation mode' where they will slowly walk to the place where they heard the sound to investigate, if the zombie sees a player he will go full agro.
  13. I would like to see hiking packs be a special spawn.Have natural caves and camps spawn this rare and helpful gear. Things like hiking boots weatherproof clothing and gas powered stuff should also have an increased rate of spawning.

  15. I think it is good that you realise some things are better on paper. This may be one of them, but! We are in alpha stages and this is the stage to test!! Is it not? Could we change up some players by doing this? Would bandits change to give themselves more of an advantage but at the same time realise what they're doing is in fact very fun and heart warming? I think another way to do this is take it a bit more on the social interaction thing. If you're with friends you would never really go mad because all the people around you are doing the same, it would be the norm in your mind. If you were alone I would think you would react differently, you wouldn't feel human if you ask me, everybody you see is afraid of you, you haven't spoken to a person without the intention of killing him in years. To me though it would need to be tested in the alpha if ever implemented at all. It will most likely cause 90% of the community to flip when they release the only fun they'd been having was killing people. Who knows I hate the current state of the community. Maybe we should have an underlying bandit system, never pops up just sits there feeding on the players that choose to play unsociably and shot everybody, while bandits remain relatively normal others will get boosts that will naturally come with their good survival skills they no longer reek of fear being very smelly for the zombies. Their practice in trigger discipline has made them extra efficient on the draw. -50% gun raise and equip time?? Lots of things could be done things on paper have to be tested though.
  16. Got to disagree somewhat with C130 and say if I wanted a transport plane atleast make it feel chernarussiany. The An 2 is a fine transport.
  17. But still, I have never seen it rain in dayZ.Every second or so day should be rain. Over here we get rain 2/3 days. I've been picking blueberries almost a whole week now and only 2 days have been dry enough in the middle of Summer. I'm not in Chernarus though, but I imagine from the similar foliage that the weather should be pretty similar.

    Defibrillators aren't really the magical healing tool that a lot of people think, if someone died there's a reason for it and unless that reason was heart failure there ain't much point in trying to save him, if he died of bloodloss then you would have to restore his blood, bandage and then revive him, or be trying all three at the same time. It shouldn't be used as a tool to wake up unconscious players though, that shit's just dumb Epi pens is all you need. Shots to the chest or head should render you un-revivable. If you died from a severe case of shock however, maybe that should let you be revived like your heart just stopped and is now beating wildly sort of shock.

    So these were just 'lore' friendly and not gameplay friendly.I can understand that, they should be the often wrecked beyond repair vehicles we see instead of the Humvees in the mod. I'm all for the possibility to modify your vehicle to the point it could be almost on par with a military jeep. Of course it should have its downfalls such as very small FOV and only small metal slits. A perfectly aimed shot can go through the slit :) there should be scrap metal, some of this would be certain thicknesses of steel. Most could probably stop .22 or 9mm, enough thickness should stop 5.56 even more should stop 7.62 More weight = go slower, less acceleration and more fuel consumption. Easiest modifications should be filling tires with a material like gravel/ sand or something lighter to have run flats/ improvised bulletproof tires (hold out for a good 30 mins of driving after shot). Any light zombie proofing like chicken wire over all the windows. Some sort of cow catcher that forces zombies to go under your vehicle is needed in my opinion, hitting something in a car should often have it going over the bonnet and into your windscreen, making driving very difficult on first person only. Any gun you can find should be somehow mountable, maybe you could rig something up with the bipod mount and the wheel off a trolley/ jack to create a sort of all direction ball joint to stick your gun on. Fit offroad tires to make those civilian cars more all round? I would like to see in vehicle shooting and moving around while seated. For boats I would really like to see the ability to stand up and walk around on it a bit of piracy in the water as you run off your boat onto someones freshly crippled boat, gun many down and then run in with an oar.

    Great food for around the campfire. Hungry survivors from all around hear you're soup bubbling and your fire flicking. They sit on down for a feed instead of shooting you.
