Chernarus is a real place. As is Utes, I might expect to see oil rigs and marooned ships, other than that... Not a lot. Sounds like Ivan wants snowy peaks to the North. -
Zombies are all one texture aren't they, they could just use the players clothes, bloody them up a bit and their face. It would be easy to identify who was actually a player and the good loot. However you'd likely catch the infection off their things.

I like this simply because I hate bandits.But it would be cool hallucinating, I wanna see a good mix of crazy funny shit and stuff that makes them go hearing funny gunshots and footsteps behind them.

I was thinking ammo might come forward as a bit of a currency. Didn't rocket mention something about bullets being their own item? Maybe stacked in appropriately sized ammo boxes, you could trade just a few bullets and new players have nearly no use for them without a gun. But then very late game people will have picked up bullets they have no weapons for.

:( I've been trying to get my friends hyped about the standalone so I have people to play with, I was hoping that this would be the devblog that changed it all and hundreds of background features never before mentioned would pop up and turn the tables. This has been worse than Xbone E3 reveal. DayZ has nothing and its still months away! What do I do?

I want old guns... Like finding someone's WW2 stuff in their basement, grammar Nazi can have a Nazi uniform and Luger Or a warm Russain one with a tokarev MP40, extremely, extremely rare ammo and gun. And the PPsh 41 as you are in Russia, but still extremely rare, usually found in residentails or maybe museums. A lot of the weapons I think that should be available should be old handed down war relics or civilian weaponry, shotguns & hunting rifles. In military area more modern weapons show like AKMs, AK 74, MP443, Makarov. 9mm most common ammo. As for useless weapons... Dean has stated since all items are getting their own stats... That all items can be used as melee weapons with their own damage amounts. For specifically useless weapons... maybe single shot high velocity spring powered air rifle, I have one, it might actually be half decent in a zombie apocalypse (its pretty quiet, shoots fast velocity and I can hold about 1500 rounds in one of my pockets.) the reason it's bad is once you fire you've gotta cock the lever with 16kg force load a tiny .177 lead pellet into a tiny chamber and then fire. Maybe battery powered automatic BB guns, useless for killing zombies because of no lethal damage but they can really be a pain for a player at close range. Painful on bare skin IDK what sort of effect it should have on a player/ zombie?

Don't like this idea, skill with a weapon should be determinable by the player wielding it. All the weapons are new so you get as much of a chance as anybody else.

@bigmike I remember leaning while piloting the little bird in Arma 3 I couldn't work out how I did it and couldn't lean back XD. As far as I am aware of you can look around and even lean in arma 3 why shouldn't we be able to duck without too much extra programming? For ducking when in third person... Your camera should be forced downwards so you have very little visibility infront of you, I feel that's a fair penalty.

Anything that can actually be done to sorta make this happen.I looks like a lot of people like the idea, it doesn't necessarily have to be video and steam already takes screenshots, maybe server goes hey your looking at a whole bunch of people or your looking directly at this big ship you may possibly decide to inhabit and takes a screen for you, or a small series in the following minutes. Is anybody tight with Rocket or another dev that can bring this to consideration? I'm sure they'd have the best judgement of work/ reward, usage/ gimmick, if it is in any way possible...

Claymore sword would be amazing for fighting zombies, the range would be awesome and the cutting power aswell.However I think you'll find any blades in a museum are dimmed for safety. You'd have to give them a good sharpen, to make them any useful.

A fire requires energy and fuel to maintain itself, therefore it needs oxygen and rag to continue burning.If it never went out that would be infinite energy and we would solve many/ many issues.

Even if just for 30 seconds.They're often designed to knock a dog or something out for hours. They probably get a few horses in too, that'd easily put a person down.

I would like the moving aspect to be shuffling along a back seat with A+D but also ducking to avoid being a clear target. Possibly an in car animation for climbing in and out of the drivers seat? Shooting in a car should be limited, mounting a gun should greatly increase the ease of shooting but limit your ability to switch sides etc etc. Barrel roll in C130 cargo bay ;D
