Hey guys Just wanted to get some help with the in-game map. I know Chernarus is 225 km2 but can someone tell me how what the size of each square on the ingame map is? Im want to work our distance between 2 points for travelling, and knowing how long it will take to reach based on the distance. I havent found a scale or measure on the map ingame so i cant tell if its a km or mile or anything in fact and no range finder :( Would greatly appreciate if anyone knows what the range is of each square in the in-game map? so for ie. 112-064 that sizing :D:D Thanks :D:D

sk_bert quit whilst your ahead mate. its a waste of your time if your not whiling to learn how to play. use direct comms and meet people in cities you will always find 1 person that will group now when no one has a gun no one is a threat!! just make allies fast in the cities thats my strat so far and its taken me to stary and back with that same guy. most a helpful and if they dont respond there not its quite simple. if your not willing to adapt this game is not for you. this is what this game is about pre gun or no gun. ITS JUST A GAME. your meant to learn how to play first! -

Hey im sure someone has wrote this but just adding my expierence about the new update its running much smoother though when the zeds are on the chase and you use a loud weapon, it lags the game out alot when the horde comes running, also makes you unsure whether your shot landed and it killed them. ie Shot a zed it walks over hits me and dies. They still hit you through the walls and walk through and somehow under buildings. I think the zeds going through the walls is worse from the 1.7.1 update since before you could distance yourself from the wall to avoid but now it doesnt matter as much. Also they charge at another player they will run through some buildings at times not often but it happens, Had a fresh spawn today havent had one since the gun was removed i got killed by a door btw :( (knocked me out and zeds feasted on me whilst i bled and couldnt move) Anyway i like the increase in difficulty and the use of just direct chat though only thing is that i would like to rendevous with some of the players i was with and can't after they get taken out by a bandit/zed so i was thinking if you implement a party option or even friendslist in game just for that session of play and when you logout of DayZ it a whole new fresh list. I found people a lot more cooperative at the early areas and willing to help since no one has anything, which has helped the game more socially i find. Happened just before that we saw a guy proneing around cherno apartments and asked if he was friendly, no response, then saw 2 other guys they ask "you guys have guns" i say "no is there any around?" they say "there is a makarov in the northern apartment", i tell them to be on the lookout for a guy who didnt respond he had a CZ550. They loot the hostpital and i ask if they checked any of the other apartments then the dude asks me if i want a rifle and drops one on the floor and they leave. I thought awesome thats what this game is truly about helping out people, sharing intel, banditry and sneaking away. So on that note i just want to say that the game is going in a good direction the balancing of food could be a bit more i cant seem to find any beans anywhere i resorted to sitting in a house with my newly giving Enfield and just shooting so zombies would come hoping they would have some on them, and i dont think being in cherno should result to that. Also with the no gun its made the place more barren and makes you want to search for help i think the no weapon at spawn is awesome change that shouldnt be taken away. though i do miss the side chat and being able to socialise a bit in game with random people have a laugh and poke fun and whatever. Looking for ANZ players who want to co-op solo is fun but co-op is funnier!! anyone over 18+ has a good survival instincts and just wants to increase there chance of survival with some good ol co-op. would like to get a group of about 4-6 or so who would like to survive this apocalypse and mabe even control it!!

Well im a bit stuck atm with study but would love to meet up eventually im just north of Vybor at a farm in between SW Bunker and Vybor with no morphine and a shit tonne of awesome loot so im kind of in need of help but would love to eventually setup a sweet camp and get a car going to be able to make quick raids on things and also have extra fun with some possible banditry or survivor help either way, just looking to increase the overall game expierence. sorry if someone has posted this already wasnt too sure how to get the search up properly for this anyways.... Found a hatchet but it looked like shotgun slugs and it equipped to pistol slot. put it in my bag and then tried to equip it to the pistol slot to see what would happen and it disappered, but still had pistol and everything. also cannot put the hatchet that goes in primary into my bag. picked it up with mouse scroll and it made my m4 disappear but it kept the mags. other than that everything is running very smooth. the higher audibility on crouch has slowed down gameplay alot for me since you cant quickly dodge zombies you really have to watch that now. and prone proximity to zombies is increased alot were you need at least 2-3 metres distance with no aud and vision coming up. difficulty increase is good just the crouch run has become a bit useless in the process. a lil suggestion with the hatchet i like it as a melee weapon its just makes getting wood a real pain since you can only have that or a primary weapon and putting primary in bag and trying to requip it bugs sometimes so its kind of useless. be good if you had axe/hatchet tool version and a melee version thanks and keep up the good work -
I had a m16a1 was killed a friend of mine picked it up and put it in his bag When I got it back out of his bag it appeared as a m4a1

This idea could work if you accompany it with a double tap function for player deaths, if its a headshot bye bye cya later no coming back and click respawn!! if body shots allow for defib and the player has 1 minute to have someone come and defib him, unless the bandit wants to prevent that he has to put another one in the unconscious player awaiting defib. The bandit would be able to tell from hearing moaning and a possible animation showing the player is down and maybe twitching or something though it also attracts zombies. So the chance of surviving and getting defib is low but special. also add the blood bag idea that has to accompany the defib in order to work so the supplie works in 2 ways. Also you could change the screen when awaiting revive from defib so the player can differentiate that he is in this state. Have the hourglass but red instead of the green. this would also promote survivor co-op play and bandit co-op play and work for and against both sides.

I liked the Idea of linking your guid to your forum and having a nice run down of your personal play. -Beans consumed -Water Drank -Distance traveled etc. just general things like that but personally to your own account. even show your own life expectancy and would be great to show the current record of tthe longest living survivor!! That would be awesome like a mountain to climb i seem to hit 3 days and then im on the beach again :( just to add i think life expectancy is the real k/d ratio in this game!! -

Interesting thanks guy for the help and the links for this issue obvisouly with a mod/game thats creating such hype its only warranted that this is going to happen. look what happened to BF3. we can only hope they move onto another medium for the time being i guess..... -

Yer he got me too, the ***hole. got my stuff back was a massive run and a good 45min waste of my life. this game needs auto run in this situation. apparently it happened on canada 1 just moments before. I hope they can stop this. this is the 3rd time its happened to me. Its gonna make alot of people stop playing and myself. after putting in so much work to have it ruined by a hacker is the worst. you can deal with it happening if a player shoots you or whatever happens in game due to the learning of how to better execute, but to a hacker it just makes you mad!!! >:| -
