To the Electro Hill Snipers of US790

Don't be that kind of hedgehog, the one that refuses to believe anything. If it were fake it would go in the story thread, or be told in the words of *** from Chernarus. Besides pics would do nothing. But if someone helps me figure out how to film, I'll be glad to share future adventures as I zip around the bandits.

I made up a song about the situation and sang it in different silly voices. I don't remember the lyrics exactly.

Ha. Krispies. Yeah. Auto correct is fun.

To the Electro Hill Snipers of US790

I typed 790 in the filter, and it's a regular difficulty server, no name tags, and if I remember correctly, when it was noon mountain time, the server was set for 2 a.m. And when I did my run around 8 p.m. Mountain it seemed like mid day.

My dream is fly by chopper strafing and getting them running for their lives. And I never mind being the bait, I zig and zag quite well. We may talk later in the week.
  6. Don't worry, I own a dishwasher. Load up the canteens, but watch out for bandits in the way. (one hit me with some sort of LMG in the middle of a forest today, and all I wanted was to field hop to find an animal to eat after a hard fought victory over the horde).
  7. Too many people are getting worked up over video games here. Games are supposed to be entertainment. Why do we get so competitive, so stressed over a game? Some basic facts of the world, young ones. Gather around if you will. One, business works by putting people face to face every now and then. Even with the internet, companies like sending people to the same place to share ideas and show products and mingle. Conventions mean companies can have the press line up, and run through interviews, and they'll all ask the same questions, but release their articles and blogs and vlogs and different times so we think they're not learning from what others already asked. They didn't know. Besides, journalists get busy and can't read the competition's articles in detail all the time. Any complaints about Rocket going to these conventionmend cause you can't raid an imaginary place for an imaginary sniper rifle to kill some imaginary player seem very silly, so please, relax and just let things happen as they happen. Another important thing, since you are on this forum and able to play this mod...you are free to make choices. yes, you can choose to enjoy the game as is, choose to play a different game, or choose to go for a walk, take martial arts, eat half a roasted chicken, or any other thing you might like. No one owes you this particular game. You chose it. You can un-choose it if you are upset. That is the wonderful thing about free, somewhat democratic societies. We can choose our forms of entertainment, but at the same time, those who make the entertainment can choose to run their businesses as they wish. All we can do is find something else if we are not happy. I am making chicken and honey butter carrots for dinner, just in case anyone wonders why I mentioned eating chicken as a choice, though half a chicken is a bit beyond my abilities. Still, leftovers of well made food are a fabulous thing. Randomness abounds!
  8. Ah, Zelenogorsk, I seem to find my way there a lot these days. Low on ammunition and in need of supplies, it was a daring attempt until a zombie crawled right onto me and then it was hell. But I found a spot, bandaged, and headed into the supermarket there with my shotgun ready. Slowly walking to the back door, I peeked inside, and a bandit was facing away from me. I fired twice, two slugs into the head. And nothing happened because he was already dead, a corpse on his feet! Of course the sound of the 1014 was the dinner bell and my poor PDW is almost out of ammo as well now. And to the player who shot the same corpse with a crossbow, ran in, ran out and harshly said GOODBYE after I offered help, I hope you outran the zombies. I would have helped! I offered! Of course while examining the bandit I was disconnected, and I lost my Alice pack, spare pistols to share with players, supplies, and so on. Something about having the pack open while checking the bandit. I came back to that server five minutes later and the market was empty of everything. Switch servers, start again. But damn, I am annoyed that characters die on their feet and then I end up in trouble for shooting the bandits, or run away from unknowns into the open arms of zombies. Anyone annoyed by this or ever spooked by the standing dead?

The annoyance of those who die on their feet

Thank you for Your support. bandits never stop to chat with me, I have no plan on chatting with them!

The annoyance of those who die on their feet

Bandit skin, armed, and aiming at another survivor, or so I thought. I avoid other players as much as possible except in direct voice chat if I have cover. I was excited to cap a bandit. Hero of Chernarus! But now, not so much.

The annoyance of those who die on their feet

There was a pile of civilian clothes in the back room near the guy but he was in civilian clothes with a bandit mask. Strange. So he changed clothes and logged out and I increased my zombie headshot total by twelve as a result. Seems...unfair, really.
  12. Thanks, Toft! It is not easy to accept death over a sneaky disconnect but it is a better teacher than cut and run. Not going to change now!

What is the story of... That Mountain?...

*** would explain it this way: When one mans go to mountain, hear thing, voice, noise, but go away. When two mans go, both hear voice, noise, one mans kill other mans, and voices make him forget as he go more mad, and he run. Then he claim he go and no remember, but friend had accident, or die with no reason. Mountain make you mad. Radio let out bad thing, and it get in mind. Only wise *** know and fight voice. All mans and womans not wise like ***, all go mad and forget. *** remember. But I say no more.

    How do you pronounce DayZ?

Day Zed. The thing on the end isn't a zee, it's a zed. Besides, it works for SideStrafe. Or I called it Dazed, because that's how I feel after a lucky zombie sht that knocks me out hacker attack. Okay I have only been through three hacks and on one I was standing alive above my own corpse after the hacking weirdness, but still, dazed!

    I love Green Mountain!

Whether something or not happens, we like to add a little fan fiction, and there's nothing wrong with that. We're having fun with telling stories. I went past it once and nothing happened, fine, but that is boring. But if I write about ***'s words of warning on the Green Mountain, it becomes a lot more fun! Like this: Radio. They make big radio, wake mountain. Everyone in Chenarus know mountain sleep for many year. Many year. We no dig, no build, no problem. Long ago, hundred of year, nobleman try to build fortress, but all worker and family dead. After that, no disturb, no trouble. But then government say they build tower. Even then I was *** and wise, but just become ***. Still wise. No good come of radio, I say, but they call *** crazy. Now, the dead who no stay dead go there. You go there, they find you and eat you. And as wise ***, I know this. Dead no eat the dead, only eat the alive. Why? Dead thing hunger for warmth. If you dead, you cold, no feed hunger. But alive, even just tiny bit, you what dead who no stay dead want most. Trust in ***, I know many thing. Build radio is bad, and all near radio go mad. I say I more now. Tired. Maybe tomorrow, if I not die in sleep, I remember more and tell. Just like that! Fun, isn't it?
  16. My maximum is 34 days, and about 34 hours of game time. No alt-F4 and no murders. How did I do it? Z key! Crawl a lot, go slow, watch, be patient, and since I mostly play alone, avoid other players. Hide and crawl away when you hear a distant gun shot. I was only at 140 zombie kills, though I kill zombies for fun. I had gone to Berezino and the NE airfield and even survived throwing a grenade instead of smoke at one point. I died because I tried a sunset trip to Baolta for some M9 ammo and since I don't Alt-F4 I lost the firefight with a ghille bandit, but I did put up a good fight! Another good idea is plan an escape path. I usually approach from a slope with trees so if I have to run from zombies or players I know where I am going and how I can take cover. This means never go too far into a big town or city because getting out will be tough. We all have different styles of play, but no matter the style, you can make it work. But sometimes the blaze of glory death is more fun. :)

What is the story of... That Mountain?...

The spirit of that mountain was full and left you to the mindlessness of the zombies. That was lucky, may we all be so lucky.
  18. Because the shambling horde decided to rip my character apart, I was reduced to a feeble spawn a few days ago. Rare to have zombies feast on my flesh, but when one of them gets in a super hit, there's no escape I suppose. I decided to take the bit of time I do get here and there for playing DayZ and try running around on servers that are dark. Night time play. No night vision, and until today, no map. Gamma is not turned up all the way, but with a map I can manage now. Running from zombies means I get stuck on a lot of fences but that's okay, I survived another night. But still no matches or tents or primary weapons. Does anyone else try and play during a server's night without using NVG? Do you explore anywhere in particular? I have to say this seems to be safer than risking snipers when there's light.

What is the story of... That Mountain?...

The radio tower. It gives off an energy field that stimulates parts of the brain that lead to paranoia and hallucinations and make people jump from the tower. When enough of the infected zombie types get close, the field resonated among them and they are driven off by it. It would be a useful way to keep the zombs away from us, except we'd all go mad. The mountain is not our salvation without it being our curse.
  20. I am glad that I am not alone! This is good. I have done Balota in the dark, when the artifacts can be ignored because hey, I am navigating my memory anyway. I found the broken down bus, but the nice weapons in board had no ammo! Still, it was fun, turning on the bus lights and hearing the horde stir up before I moved on. The panic factor certainly is more fun when the server is dark. It is keeping me interestd in the game.
  21. Back in June while I was visiting family in Europe, I had to take a picture of a shelf packed with Heinz beans. Little blue labelled cans all crammed in there, and I still have the picture in my phone for some reason. Weird times.

Would you Abort if in Danger of death?

Gear? If I earned it once, I will earn it again. I'd rather put up a fight than run away. At the very least I might make someone duck or need a bandage before by brains get a taste of fresh air. If my zeros and ones get reset, it is no big deal!

is US 850 a Hacker Server?

A crazy but friendly scientist being chased by Lybians would have been much more appealing than how it went down. But there was certainly some plutonium involved somewhere!

What is the story of... That Mountain?...

I'll be sure to write more of ***'s tales of Green Mountain to keep it interesting, of you like. Maybe not until Friday. ***, she rest now, and much work to do in day of god named Thor. Catch newts and find right fungus for potion. I say too much. You go, you go now.

is US 850 a Hacker Server?

I've been to US850. I logged in and emerged from my rocky hiding spot on the coast, hoping to find people to help. I had some extra revolvers to hand out. I do that. Suddenly, a bus appears next to me, on the coast, front wheels in the water. Some guy rushes out, pointing a gun at me and telling me to get in. I turn on the mic, say I'll get in but whe are we going? I move around as he keeps telling me to get in on the right side of the bus. That is what I was trying to do. I never made it into the bus. Suddenly, we're all transported to the NWAF, bus, players, everything, and then we're all dead. I'd avoid 850.
