I went to bed 8 hours ago and 1.7.2.1 had just come out, I wake up and we're on 1.7.2.3 :D I'm still on 1.7.2, I'll wait a day or two until they are done with these hotfixes most likely, or until too many servers update and I can't log in.

You never use the latest version of Windows. Always use the one before the latest. Unless the latest is Vista or ME, then use whatever you can get :P I'll be sticking with Windows 7 for a good while yet, especially since it's actually not a bad OS. But as Roboserg said, probably not going to get a lot of support considering how new it is (unreleased?)

I don't think finding a guy who has a sniper rifle, night vision and gps on him, but appears to be a noob is enough to call exploit. Could have easily killed someone else for it, raided a tent etc... He was probably just being careless at the time.

Yeah, doesn't sound like he did anything wrong. Being afraid of getting capped and then logging off isn't against the rules. Technically, even encountering someone and logging off before anyone fires any shots is still perfectly legal. As soon as someone fires a shot, THEN you are breaking rules if you log off to avoid the confrontation. Usually when people log off to avoid conflict, they would log on to another server basically straight away, he said he came back later.... to the same server even. I was playing the other day and had spent ages finding my way after being lost. I had JUST spotted a dirt road, and it was late, so after several hours of running around, I thought I would log off for the night. I go prone between some trees, and I hear a shot. I logged off. Should I have stayed logged in JUST because I heard a shot? I had other stuff to do in real life, there's no way I'm going to stay in game just because someone fired, that's retarded lol.

Don't bother with six updater. People have too many issues with it, and considering how easy and quick it is to get this all installed anyway.... it's just not worth it. If you need to update your beta patch, just go here (found by searching arma 2 beta patch in google): http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ Download the one you want, unzip, double click the exe and you're done. I am running 965 I think it is, and works fine.

I had the lighting issue. As soon as you look at the sky, it goes almost black, but look towards the ground, and it's nice and bright, almost overexposed. HDR settings don't change anything, getting a new pc helped though lol. It still does it, but obviously the settings are much higher, so I guess it just handles it better. Is not an issue now.
