    Where would be the fun and excitement without the fear of maybe losing all the items you have collected? Dying isn't fun of course, but surviving is, so having an actual threat besides zombies in DayZ seems good to me. Bandits are simply part of the zombie survival theme, so people claiming bandits ruin the game is just crap to me. It's a different story though if people kill newly spawned players or kill survivors without even touching their loot. For me that's really just being an asshole or minge.
