[Forum] Raise the avatar filesize.

Asking never hurts. But it's a very unnecessary change that could put more stress on an already overloaded website -
What is the difference between Dayz Staff and Players?
Leechman replied to Legacy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sure, from your point of view. Think of it from theirs. They have thousands of people all wanting that "neat in-game chat". Things could get out of control very quickly. You'd be affecting their play experience and testing ability. -

You have an avatar. Why are you even complaining? If anything limit the signature size. Some people go way overboard with them. -

Higher Aim than just looting (Missions etc)

rocket has already indicated he doesn't want to add missions. -
Ever heard of the Darwin awards? People who died doing incomprehensibly stupid things? This is a list of people who got banned for being stupid idiots (ie: hacking)

Tradepost, removal of bandit skin, humanity, and other things.
Leechman replied to Divinorium's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I understand your point of view, but saying those things is a gross generalisation. There are people in the world who can be unaffected by causing or observing death or torture. There are people in the world who are unaffected by isolation and, in fact there are those who might even prefer it. Your suggestion imposes a point of view regarding social behaviour and gives a set of rules for what can be regarded as socially acceptable or good. It directly prevents a player's ability to create their own story from their personal reactions and experiences. It directly and deliberately affects a player's freedom of choice which goes against the beliefs that founded this mod. -
I disagree with your main idea. I believe, however, rocket has indicated that the final plan would be to have 1 character bound to each server. So you could roll anew on different servers without losing your epic character. 1. I dunno, could be easily abused. 2. Yes, I believe this is actually in the works? 3. Disagree. You're just unlucky. 4. Disagree. Would complicate things coding-wise I believe. Also it would increase the amount of military spawns, which should remain at few and rare. 5. No. These zombies aren't dead humans. 6. Disagree

Tradepost, removal of bandit skin, humanity, and other things.
Leechman replied to Divinorium's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Trading post: Disagree. If there was to be one, players can take the initiative to do it themselves Bandits skin: indifferent. Humanity: Disagree. You're creating rules about what is good and bad behaviour. Goes against the game. New System: Not sure I fully understand it, but it sounds like too much work to implement properly and would complicate things. Blood smell: Not sure. Could be a good idea. But I'm more or less indifferent about this. -

Suggestions to solve the biggest issues
Leechman replied to super pretendo's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
More or less sums it up. You're suggesting something that gives a blanket punishment to ALL players who have low humanity. Whether they chose that lifestyle' date=' or want to remain that way or not. If you want to know my reasoning read my previous posts in this thread. Not going into detail again. Also, you've said before the 'put power in the hands of players' thing. I still don't see how unfairly altering the spawn points of bandits is putting power into the hands of survivors to solve the problem themselves. IT MAKES NO SENSE. You keep harping on about how you're a bandit therefore your idea is somehow immediately valid. Try and be open minded. Whether or not you realise it, your opinion on what would happen in an apocalypse such as this is irrelevant. No-one can know what would happen. Using your beliefs to back up your arguments is poor reasoning. I think this is what is making people more concerned about bandits at the moment. With Direct Chat fixed, people might be a little more relaxed about it all. -
I disagree with this idea. Would add an unnecessary complication and possibly break realism and immersion.

An RP suggestion into combating bandits
Leechman replied to CoolNitro's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I disagree OP. First I don't think bandits need any punishment or balance. But I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing that you don't need to add new things to solve your 'problem'. It's the game that needs to be tweaked. Your solutions will not be as effective as you think because they happen AFTER someone has made the decision to be a bandit. Your punishing them for what they've done, which isn't the best option. Instead, alter gameplay aspects to make the choices that come with making the decision to actually BE a bandit more risky. Discouraging the widespread prevalence of banditry. Read my post here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?pid=15944 for an idea of what I mean. -
I'm indifferent to this. But I can see where such a system would come in handy. I disagree with the OP on spawning close to groupmates however.

The darkness is appropriate. Torches are not hard to find. Neither are chemlights or flares. You also start with flares. Disagree with OP
