Put Bandages Back On Mouse Wheel Please

I should clarify my agreement by saying I don't want their spawn rate increased, just their spawn locations.

is there a way to enter the clinic in eastern Elektro
Leechman replied to LeYuno (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The windows. Shoot them. Or climb to the roof. -
Other people have had this suggestion, and I agree with it.

Just because there are no hospitals in-land does not mean medical supplies are non-existent. Limiting the number of hospitals is a good thing.

Backpack Space [Change & Suggestion]
Leechman replied to TiiX (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The main reason that you see some things taking up much more space than seems practical is to do with balancing the item itself. Something as useful as another gun needs to take up many spaces in order to stop players carrying 4 guns and collecting all the ammo in the game and still have room for food/medicine. As for your suggestion, I disagree with it. There needs to be balance to carrying more than one primary weapon, otherwise people would just hang every weapon off their pack and never be short of ammo for something. -
They're currently doing both, as you suggested. Some things take more work then others.

I disagree. You've just got to be more vigilant. -
New Location - Aircraft carrier
Leechman replied to DesertEagle (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Which is why having a large number of zombies present is important. They open fire to attack incoming survivors, they aggro a nearly undefeatable number of zombies. -
New Location - Aircraft carrier
Leechman replied to DesertEagle (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It would be a cool thing to strive towards. But I definitely think it should be crawling with zombies. -
Such an idea could be quite nice. But the spawns would have to be reasonably rare, and tied in with the military spawns imo to balance them out. Also I'm not sure how this would work with the engine.

name on backpack, bloody/shot backpack, etc
Leechman replied to unsobill's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
1. I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement such an idea. 2. I think by the time you get that close to a player you're going to have a decent idea if they're trustworthy. I don't think this addition is necessary. -
The issue would be with having to replace your weapon with whatever car part you're carrying. Picking up weapons is buggy enough as it is. I'd rather not lose my M4 in order to pick up a car wheel.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it will work. -

Winchester is a placeholder... but for what?

Well there we go. Thanks for clearing that up rocket. -
Winchester is a placeholder... but for what?

I really think if it is to be replaced it needs to be a low-tier shotgun. I really like the idea of taking the Winchest 1887 shotgun as a replacement. If they could reposition the 870 for low-tier (reduce damage, remove attachments, increase spawn rate) then they could use both the 1014 and the KSG as high-tier military weaponry and ignore the mid-tier for shotguns. I say this because, in my experience, it is a particular kind of person that enjoys shotguns in this mod, so give them 2 strong high-end options, instead of a 1-1-1 approach. Also I really don't think the m1014 should be mid-tier weaponry. -
I really disagree with adding classes, such as you are suggesting. It would turn the game down a path of being a shooter with some weird mechanics, as opposed to an apocalypse Survival Sim.

ugh now I've made a liar out of myself >.< It was yesterday, he was basically saying that the limitation for holding flashlight/pistol at the same time is technical, within the game, and they are working on it.

Winchester is a placeholder... but for what?
Leechman replied to bobda's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
What he's saying is that a Winchester 1866 12gauge shotgun is not a real weapon. Not that there was never a Winchester 1866. Sarcasm gets us nowhere. The KSG would probably be too good. It would need to be a basic low-tier kind of shotgun to replace it. There is already a Remington 870 in the game but it's currently tied to military spawns as mid-tier rarity. I really think just changing the model of winchester is the go. Take it from the 1866 rifle to the 1887 shotgun. -
The issue with zombie guts being used like that is that it may just straight up not fit with the unannounced backstory. It really depends on the type of zombie that is being used. For Example: rocket zombies aren't dead. Recent changes have been made to make zombies aware of flares. Doesn't do much. Get a whiskey bottle or a smoke grenade.

Leechman replied to bobda's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It could also be a placeholder for a model to be made for something like the Winchester 1887, which fires 12 gauge, and is being reproduced by a couple of different companies today. Ya he's srs lol. I recall something similar. -
How about Chess? We ARE in Russia... :P

I understood rocket's comment as meaning it was a placeholder for a low-teir shotgun. In which case something like the Mossberg 20 gauge could be a good replacement.
